I'm just going to post my random in here. I've turned into such a lazy mom and I'm just thankful that DS is all about it. 90% of our day is spent with me on the couch while he colors or plays with cars/dinosaurs/etc on the coffee table or floor peppered with leap pad games or Netflix. Meals are things like cereal, PB&J, fresh fruit that he grabs himself, and granola bars I keep on the low shelf in the pantry. If it's nice I will chill on the deck while he runs around the backyard.

That's not lazy that's practical. My energy is at like a negative 50. As long as he's entertaining himself, right?
I don't understand when people say they haven't showered in days or they leave the house with puke or some other bodily fluid on their clothing.
Maybe this is a FFTC but I have let my kid scream for 5 minutes so that I can hop under some hot water and feel like a human being.
Post partum those first few weeks I think if I got 5 fee minutes I would rather nap, but if I was leaving the house or having people over I'd park the bouncy seat in the bathroom so I could at least make sure they weren't dying while I showered.

I just feel guilty sometimes when he is like "can we go on a walk to the park" or "can we make gingerbread men?" And I'm like "how about paw patrol?" Lol. But obviously not that guilty because walking and standing a lot starts up the cramps and no thank you to that mess.

Between this, the motorcycle hate, and the panties talk. I'm wondering if your next UO is going to be that you hate those damn kids who keep walking across your lawn.

After J was born, if someone was coming over to help, the first thing I did was take a shower. I would try to nap after that if I had enough time. There was nothing that made me feel more human than a hot shower. And on days when no one came over, he got plopped in the RnP so I could. I HAD to shower everyday. And it was not a cleanliness thing, it just kept me sane.
Gross/hilarious story for you, my friend's MIL gave her her old lingerie for her wedding shower.... Imagine wearing your MIL's lingerie during sexy time with your SO?

Exactly that. I do not feel like a human being without a shower. I can maybe skip one day if I'm exhausted. But more than that? No. Especially in the beginning when you're either leaking breast milk, sweating profusely, or getting spit up on.
I worked last night and one of the guys (who's been out of the country for two months) tried and failed horribly to ask me if I was pregnant without being offensive. It was actually hilarious to pretend I had no idea what he was talking about. Any changes in my family? What do you mean? Oh, anything new? Well, K's grown a lot....
He finally came right out and asked and I confirmed. But not before asking him if he was asking because I looked fat. I'm a horrible person.

Haha I've done this. It's so fun to watch them squirm. When are you due? What do you mean? You know...the baby? What baby? ....
Chipotle- It is blasphemy not to like them! Their burritos are so much better than Moe's, but Moe's burrito bowls are better.
Crocs- No. Just no. But I'm one of those people who refuse to wear sneakers/running shoes because they don't match my outfit, so there's that lol
+1 to motorcycles, especially the crotch rockets. They drive like assholes, weave in and out of traffic, ride cars asses, and then get all "share the road with us! Don't ride our tails!" Maybe you should heed your own advice...
I hate the way most people drive. 99% of the time when we go out as a family, I drive and it's not even a question. We just get in my car and I drive. People think it's super weird MH doesn't drive when we are together.
I can't stand being a passenger in the car. I decline carpools because of this, and I will always offer to drive if we are going with other people.
I drove DH and I to the hospital the day I had DS . FFFC?

I feel so less guilty now about the fact that DS and I have been parked in front of the TV half the morning! I took the day off work to watch DS since he's on toddler quarantine with hand, foot and mouth. We took the dog for a walk, played in the backyard, and vacuumed the main floor. Then it was barely 10am. TV and play doh? Okay!

I bet I will drive if we make it to our RCS date. H gets so anxious and he is not a great driver.

He's currently using my bump as an iPad holder as he sings in Spanish. Every now and then the girls will kick it and he says "stop it sisters, I'm trying to watch my show!"

Mh and I have mastered NJ driving and not having to deal with anyone. IDC how "inconvenient" it is that we both drive coupes, we literally never have to drive other people in our vehicles or carpool with anyone else because "it's such a pain to take the car seats out of the coupes." We pretty much alternate driving between the two of us. I drive my car, he drives his.

I always drive too, I actually get carsick if I'm not driving. I don't like being a passenger either, I get annoyed with the way other people drive. H drove me to the hospital though and drives if I want to take a nap haha!
DH has a ton of stomach issues and it is hard for him not to drive. Of course now he is fine with me driving but I am so use to him driving I choose not to drive. lol

So much spit up. I would laugh at my sister when she would say she couldn't shower because there was no one to watch the baby. They can cry for a minute in the RnP or bouncer, they'll be ok. Peek a boo helps too. I agree showers made me feel human.

I find it harder to shower now than with a newborn because every time I run a bath DS gets naked and jumps in. Hell I can't even get up to pee without him asking if he can come with me.

I don't think I've ever gone out with any obvious bodily fluids on me and showering with a baby around was nbd. Showering while a fully mobile toddler with ideas of her own roams the house has proven to be more challenging. Now she'll happily sit on my bed and watch Elmo, but for a while there it was tough. However, now we're in the delay everything stage where it takes for freaking ever to get her clean, dressed, fed etc and if I actually want to get out of the house sometimes my shower gets sacrificed.
I hate when parents bribe their kids with money for their report card. Like "I'll give you five dollars for every A!". What if your kid isn't able to achieve an A? Does that mean that their progress is worthless? Do we not celebrate the C-level struggling reader when he moves up a level with his reading?
There was an ad in the radio for a comic book store offering a free comic book for every A on kids' report cards and it really rubbed me the wrong way.
I hear ya. I was a B/C student throughout high school....realizing 4 yrs ago I'm mildly dyslexic and that probably contributed to my grades, but I tried my best. I already told DH if Maddox is a B/C student we can't make him feel bad...not all kids get As (dh was an A student).

I don't do lingerie and have never worn any...I wear granny underwear most of the time and maybe bikini underwear and boring bras....take me as I am lol!

Lol I live in the mountains and have a sloped yard and the 27 steps going down to my house so I just get scared the kids are going to get hurt on my property the way they run around! Can their parents sue us if they fall down the steps?

Sounds like you're a super fun mom! I would be down with these activities and food options.
