Has anyone had super dry hair and skin during pregnancy? I have really dry hair and skin and I'm afraid after birth I'm going to turn into a grease ball!
Between this, the motorcycle hate, and the panties talk. I'm wondering if your next UO is going to be that you hate those damn kids who keep walking across your lawn.
Lol I live in the mountains and have a sloped yard and the 27 steps going down to my house so I just get scared the kids are going to get hurt on my property the way they run around! Can their parents sue us if they fall down the steps?
Yes but your homeowner's coverage should come in. Insurance girl here haha!

I told my dh they could sue, but he didn't believe me! Good to know!
I'm sure this is going to go over as a UO.... but it doesn't ruin my day that Prince died. I mean I'm sad that someone died, but I don't get when people are like "OMG I need bereavement from work." Nah, I think you will be aight.

My UO is I think Trader Joe's sucks. The parking lot is a nightmare and there is never anywhere to park/everyone is getting in accidents, the line winds around the store to buy food, and the quality isn't that great.

Not a huge prince fan so I totally agree.
But when Michael Jackson died I was really upset and even went to his funeral in LA. His music was a huge part of my childhood. I spent a lot of drunk nights having mj tributes ( singing mj at the top of my lungs all night lol)

Speaking of dead people I didn't take Kurt Cobain death well as a teen. I recently had and I'm still in a 90s phase and bought way top much KC stuff while drunk last spring. I now have a wall of fame in my living room. Whoops.

I felt the same way about mj. I obsessively watched tv about it for a week. I played his music non stop. I still find it so sad he's dead.
And since Janet Jackson is my fave ever, that didn't help.
I worked last night and one of the guys (who's been out of the country for two months) tried and failed horribly to ask me if I was pregnant without being offensive. It was actually hilarious to pretend I had no idea what he was talking about. Any changes in my family? What do you mean? Oh, anything new? Well, K's grown a lot....
He finally came right out and asked and I confirmed. But not before asking him if he was asking because I looked fat. I'm a horrible person.
Haha. I was at a fancy grocery store and a teenaged kid walked up and asked me if I wanted to sample some gouda. I smirked, "Oh, do I look like I like to eat a lot?" I was totally being silly and in a good mood but I think I scared him and he looked so uncomfortable. I felt bad and laughed and chowed down on some gouda.

See. I'm the opposite. I couldn't feel bad that someone I firmly believe is a child molester died.

I never believed he was a child molester so that never crossed my mind when I think of him.
In my opinion he had an abusive childhood thanks to his dad and never matured and grew up and just wanted to be a kid with a normal childhood and tried to recreate this as an adult. He was weird for sure, but I don't think he did anything inappropriate with kids. But that's my opinion and others think differently.
I'm not sad about Prince but every now and then a celebrity dying will get to me. Robin Williams for example, I still can't believe it whenever a movie he's in comes on.

Any truth to this?
My hair and skin are okay this time around, the backne is not quite so bad as with DS. I will say after J was born, I was a huge grease ball,I started breaking out like a teenager. I ended going for a facial before I went back to work which seemed to help a lot. And let us not yet discuss that clumps and clumps of hair that fell out PP.

Good to know i might need facials after birth...im totally down with that.
I'm trying to mentally prepare for the hair loss lol!
tikoberry99 also, I'm feeling the same way about the hair loss! I've got an impulse control disorder that causes me to literally pull out my hair and it's gotten bad lately due to current living arrangements. I'm trying hard to cut back because I can't imagine the disorder coupled with postpartum hair falling out, I'll have none left over at the end.

My hair stylist did say it won't be as bad as I think in terms of how it looks...so that made me relax a bit. I'm hoping all my freaking belly hair falls out!

Seriously! I'm hoping my peach fuzz facial hair and belly happy trail fall out too! DNW to be hairy forever haha

I almost never get that upset when a celebrity dies. But today this one really is getting to me.
I am from (and live in now again) the Minneapolis area. My parents went to over 20 Prince concerts in their 20s when he played at First Ave in the 80s. I grew up on his music. He was probably one of the first real musicians I could even identify as a child. My parents were super fans, to put it lightly, lol. So I became one too. I saw him in concert about 12 years ago and he played most of his old stuff. It was by far the best concert I have ever seen and probably will ever see at this point. I was crying during his 45 minute long encore that he did of Purple Rain. It was just incredible.
