I think B is trying to put me on a diet or more accurately starve me. It never fails she can be perfectly content but as soon as I start to make something to eat....she loses it! Seriously kid I need to eat from time to time.

+1 without fail she wakes up just when I'm about to eat!
4 weeks out and I still have flashbacks to how awful my labor was. Just me? Haha. People say you forget over time, but as of now I'm confident I'll never do that again.
I am sorry that it was difficult, I don't have any advice but wanted to send you virtual hugs.
Poor DD got her 2 month shots this morning. She has been sleeping all day, i have basically had to feed her while she was sleeping all day. So sad, i hope she is back to herself tomorrow...
My DD too! She was either sleeping, crying, or crying in her sleep today! Totally not herself. Poor thing.

I have basically no clothes to fit B right now. I had just a few newborn pjs; most of which she has outgrown in the last week due mainly to length. But she's still so small (15th percentile) that 3months, which I have a TON of, are way too big. I think I have maybe 2 or 3 of the 0-3 size stuff, and they vary from loose to baggy on her.
We are going to have this problem. J is starting to not fit her newborn PJs length wise. She only just started fitting newborn pants around the waist.

blackbird, katespade, My LO is also really long and lean - not as extreme as your two, I don't think - but still. The things that fit her best for that in-between stage right now are the Burt's Bees footie PJs in 3 months size (their smallest).
They are cut long and lean and the snaps ONLY go up the legs and crotch, but not the belly, so they continue to grow and stretch with your baby before they outgrow them. They are kind of expensive on the actual Burt's Bees site, but I found one at TJ Maxx for $4.99 each and one on sale at Kohl's for $10. Here they are on Amazon - 2 coveralls + 2 hats for $25.
Did anyone else see the story on the today show about the woman and "me-ternity leave"? ?
Didn't see it but skimmed a story about it. Before I get on my soap box, is she thinking maternity leave is like a vacation or something? Like I took all this time off to center myself and refocus?

Yes, that's her point.
That's what PTO is for. My maternity leave is unpaid. I'm using every bit of my vacation, sick time, floating holidays to pay for the time I'm home and everything else is unpaid. If I leave early to pick up kids or something, I make up for it by working late at night. Maybe I could empathize with her before I had kids, but this leave is no picnic. And I think we can all agree that maternity leave in the US is bogus.

Anyone doing an alternative vaccination schedule? I'm a bit leery of doing the normal schedule since DS had a reaction to who knows which one at his last round of vax.

What was the reaction and what check up? It seems like the 2 months shots were the worst and after that there weren't as many at subsequent check ups. We do the regular schedule.

It was his 15 month checkup, and he got like 6 different shots at once (in boosters of course). He broke out in hives over his entire body for 3 days straight. V has not had her 2 month appt yet, but I am thinking of doing the alt schedule so we can better pinpoint if she does have a rxn. I know they're not the same kid, but genetics and all makes me a little more hesitant this time.

My only thought would be since they were all boosters, he would have had them all before at some point and if he didn't have reactions then, maybe it was just the combination. Or it could have randomly coincided with some virus he picked up and was fighting. Did Benadryl help the hives go away?

Can I kill my husband? He is great really but I'm sick of him complaining about being tired when he sleeps in the basement most nights. Last night dd1 was up screaming until 10:45. E was up at 3 and then was fussy the rest of the night so little sleep. Dd1 woke up at 5:45 to pee but I got her to go back to bed. DH was in our room but doesn't do any baby duty though yes it wakes him (which is his claim to being tired it wakes him too... Though he gets to lay there half a sleep. .. not the same).
So today we all have a family nap. DH turns white noise on so high while he's sleeping he doesn't hear dd1 calling him to pee. So who gets to go up from her nap to help her and then of course E woke up too. Grrrrr...

I just keep whacking my H until he does it. Try that.

I was in the living room for nap time and he was in our room. Otherwise I would have lol. I told him after he can't have so much sound on so that he can't hear anything.

I could have written this! We just had an argument about this. DH does not get that him kind of sort of waking up is not the same as me getting out of bed and nursing for 30 minutes. But he is sooooo tired! I second your Grrrr!!!
Today is International Bereaved Mothers Day. It's also the third anniversary of my first miscarriage.
I'm holding B extra tight today. My heart is heavy thinking of all my fellow loss Mommas and all of the sweet Angels in heaven, who were too perfect for this world, including my own two little Angels.

Forever in my heart!
Hugs to you, my two angels make me more grateful for the squish in my arms too!
I don't think I mentioned this but this baby was born on the due date of the baby we lost. I was due March 1st, 2013. I got pregnant first cycle AL (fertility treatments) and my first daughter is my rainbow born May 30th, 2013. I like that I finally got my March baby and that her birthday is so special (it's her godfather's birthday too, so now his birthday doesn't make me as sad anymore).
I saw that! I like when she said she wanted the benefits of maternity leave without the kids. Umm...snuggling a baby is pretty much the sole benefit of maternity leave!
Though...I have an easy baby this time so I'm enjoying not being at work but it's definitely not a vacation with unlimited "me" time.
