Ugh I'm sorry melody330. The grunting/crying is so tough. I'm listening to Irene reflux right now in the crib and it makes me so sad for her. And I want sleep. For everyone.
2 month shots today-she's had an awful night of sleep. And in between her wake ups, my 3 year old woke up crying twice. Mama's getting a pumpkin spice latte this morning b/c I earned it!
madamewaffles hugs!! We're in the same boat. Reflux but no meds because gaining weight (which is because she wants to comfort nurse all the time). Sounds normal to me. Irene has a good stretch at first and then her reflux gets progressively worse through the night with sleeping on her back. For the wake ups after 5:30 or so I usually have to let her sleep propped upright on my chest or just let her grunt and be uncomfortable until we're up for the day.
I think our babies are twins. I hope our babies get some relief soon. I keep reminding myself xx amount of months until solids introductionin hopes that it will futuristically help.
4.5 hours here for the first stretch. Not as long as it has been lately, but I guess it's better for tonight since the alarm is going off at 6:30am. Today is our grand adventure flying to CT, I'm getting so anxious for it.

I think last night was the worst night we've had since E was born. I was in tears and my H did a neighborhood walk with him at 11:30 and 4:30am to get him to sleep. Please let last night be a fluke.

Oh man, big hugs! I remember driving around MOTN with DS1 a couple of times. Not fun. Hopefully it was just a one-off!
I slept horrible last night. His first stretch is about 4 hours. Second stretch about 3. Last night he was grunting a lot and my knees were killing me. He took a big poop for DH this morning.

I know why last night was so bad - 3 weeks into preschool and DS1 has already gotten the whole house sick! Poor E isn't feeling well. Ugh. Why do toddlers have to be so gross and spread their germs to everyone? I have zero expectations about tonight - maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised or at least I won't be disappointed. But I do know that even though it's only 8:00, I am showered and my teeth are brushed so once this little guy is in his crib, I'm off to bed.

Ugh I'm sorry to hear this DH and I are also sick - I think from the arena last weekend. F has been super fussy as well and idk if it's because he's sick (really how can you tell of your baby has a sore throat?) or if it's teething. Ether way he also slept like shit and I kicked DH out of our room because his incessant throat clearing and coughing were keeping us both up.

We did much better than last night. Up at 2 and then 5, but never really settled after 5. I just went up there and when I picked him up he farted so hard and then passed out. Poor dude.
MIL keeps suggesting to put a 1/4tsp of pablum in a BM bottle before bed to make him fuller and sleep through the night. Everything I read screams noooooo!!!!! to this. Now to try and convince DH...

No way. When my mom had me they told her to put raw egg in my bottle. Just because they did it then doesn't mean it's okay.

Whaaaat? That sounds crazy!
Although I was apparently fed 2% milk exclusively and I survived lol
I wonder how much of what we do will sound crazy to our kids lol

Another terrible night. I don't even know how many times I was up. And DS1 joined in on the fun of waking up in the MOTN. I think both kids are trying to kill H and me.

Stay strong. I worked at a pediatric hospital with infants (I'm a speech therapist and we do feeding as well) and it's not good for them unless a doctor has a reason to prescribe it.
