I think I need to bite the bullet and switch to the crib. I keep waiting for her sleep to improve consistently but I feel like i could be waiting for months.

Does she wake up and cry often, or just fuss? We saw a great improvement with moving ds to the crib, partly because we don't wake up to his every twitch. He wriggles and moves all over the crib, but seems to like it that way.

I want to say cry, although 90% of the time I respond so quickly that I'm not sure. But the 10% of the time that I wait and see what will happen, it always escalates to full-fledged screams.
I'm just not sure what to do with a not-quite-3 month old. If she were 6 months I'd be more confident that she's just playing me and doesn't need to nurse every 2-3 hours. But everything says they can't self-soothe at this age and she really needs me to put her back to sleep.

We were either responding too soon, or he coincidentally grew up a little started waking less often as soon as we moved him. Now if it's not been very long, usually we try the pacifier first, if he spits it out and gets mad I feed him. It wasn't my plan to move him at 2 months, but it's really worked out pretty well. I fully expected him to love he rnp like my daughter did and be by my bedside a bit longer, but nope, different baby.

You've all convinced me - ordered the MM suit. Just have to survive until Monday when it comes and then I may sleep again. I'm sure this has been discussed, but what do your babies wear underneath it? It gets cool here at night.
ETA: Put him on his back on the floor while I went to the other room for a minute, and when I came back, he was on his belly. I missed it! But explains the lack of sleep and means I need that MM suit ASAP!

We are in the Midwest, so it's pretty chilly now. I put A in a cotton footie pajama. When it was hot, I just put him in a sleeveless onesie. Hope it's magical for you!
Mmmkay, I am giving the Merlin suit and crib a shot. When she's in her swaddle+crib she can still kick her legs so hard there's no way she can sleep. I'm hoping the Merlin suit helps this but keeping my overall expectations low.

We are doing okay. 4 hours then 2.5 hours. I'm just so exhausted from 11 weeks of terrible sleep. I wish I knew when it would get better.
I can't even bring him in bed because his reflux is so bad. If he's eating and his head isn't elevated he will immediately spit it all back up and freak out.
I think this was in the Friday thread, but I'll put this here anyway. Dh can't soothe B. At all. Ever. He's doing all the right things, but B screams and flails. I come and just take him from H and B calms right down. H gets so upset.

We went from okay to a terrible night. B is so congested he can't stay asleep longer than 30 minutes. Ive been awake since 2:30 am and it's looking like I'm up for the day. FML

MH can't soothe Irene either. He says the baby hates him. And he's doing everything right too. DD1 went through a phase where only mommy could do things and they are finally now getting along well at 4 years old. I really don't want to go through that again.SaveSave
Our night started out decently. 3.5 hour stretch. Then another 3:5 hour stretch, but I found him on his belly. Since then (4am), he's been up every 20ish minutes. He's in bed w me now and I'm hoping we can snooze for at least an hour before his brother wakes up.

Do you have a saline snot sucker thing? That thing works wonders for Fkint.

Yes! We love the snot sucker in this house. It helps, but wakes him up so much it takes over an hour to get him back to sleep and by then he's congested all over again! It just has to run its course

How's it going?
It went (knock on wood) really well, she went 4 hrs then 3 hrs then 2! The MM suit works so much better than the swaddler in the crib. In the RNP + swaddler she is fine because her legs are basically immobile because of the RNP seat. In the crib + swaddler she could put her legs straight up and was constantly kicking them. She looked like a mermaid. But the MM suit fixed that, she cannot move her legs at all since she is so short in the suit. Trying not to get too hopeful about this though Unfortunately I slept like crap for various reasons (including DD1 wailing at 3 am that she "just wanted mom" ugh) but at least DH let me sleep in.
So B is rolling over every which way now. I wish that was the answer to why he has such crappy sleep, one can only hope. I kind of can't believe he's not even three months old and rolling, but it does ease my mind a little with his PT issues.
I hope I get a good stretch tonight. FX for all the crappy sleepers.

Yes this. My older son didn't roll back to tummy until 4 months so I was shocked when E did it yesterday at 10 weeks. But it has to be the answer to his awful sleep lately. Has to be. I hope the same for you!
Okay we tried MM sleep suit last night and it was the very first time in G's 9 weeks of life he slept in the cosleeper for longer than 30minutes. We got a good 4hr stretch. Maybe I'll be able to actually sleep with H again.

melody330 and rungirlrun you've got ambitious babes! A is almost 16 weeks and shows no interest in rolling either way. I randomly caught him on his side a few weeks ago but that's it.
Glad to hear the MM suit is working for many of you!! Mines currently snug as a bug in his. Hoping for no poopocalypses in the wee AM again.
madamewaffles I think E might be doing the physical milestones earlier than my first bc he is obsessed with watching his big brother and is already trying to keep up. I don't really care about when he rolls. I'm just hoping that was the cause of his sleep issues lately!
Tonight is night 1 of MM. Please be magic. I'm in desperate need of 1 decent night of sleep. Sleep well everyone!
