R passed out at 8:15 and woke up at 1 and 4, I have to get up at 6:30. Her best chunk of sleep is still 5 hours, so an 8:15 bed time sucks because I only got 2.5 hours before the first wakeup. I dont mean to complain because this is way better than every 2 hours, but don't know what to do with this kid. DD1 had a 7 pm bedtime at this age but she slept 8-12 hours. This kid will not dream feed either, she basically refuses to nurse unless it's her idea.
This is basically our schedule on a good night. I just go to bed when he goes to bed. Sucks bc it's so early so I get no time alone or with my H, but I need one decent stretch to function. He's much worse than his big brother was at this age. And he will only eat if he wants to - my boobs are not magic for him :-(

I'm sorry I really hope it gets better for you really soon.
Sleep has improved here in the last 10 days but it's only good for me if I can get the later bedtime. If she goes to sleep at 10, we can get by with one night wakeup and getting up for the day at 6. But bedtime is controlled by the nap situation, and naps are chaos, so I have no control.

B is the exact same way. Is he's not sleeping by 7:30 he's flipping his shit screaming until you put him in his crib. He usually sleeps until midnight, which is a great stretch.....but it's a struggle to get to bed before 9.

We are still in the midst of some shit sleep ourselves. I am hoping that this is the 4 month regression because I will cry if it gets worse than this. We got our MMsuit, but it hasnt been all that miraculous for us. It has helped naps, but night sleep is pretty meh. And on top of baby wake ups, my asshole cat has been keeping me up, too. It took me 2 hours to fall asleep last night because I am having ear troubles and have spiraled on Dr Google and determined I probably need ear surgery. Or not. Who knows. Damn you Dr Google!!! ::shakes fists::
Hope all is ok with your ears acorn99. Google is the worst -according to it, any ailment means death!
We had a pretty good night (well baby did well; I had trouble sleeping). 8:45-2 and 2:30-5:30. Thinking the Zantac did something. Trying to get him back down after that 2nd wake up, but not sure it's happening 😟
Anyone put their baby down awake at night? Just curious. HK nurses to sleep every night and it goes decent so I don't plan on changing anytime soon. Eventually though....

I wish B would nurse to sleep. I do put him down drowsy, but he doesn't like to fall asleep in anyone's arms. He's basically the worst at being a baby when it comes to sleeping. Maybe in a few months this will be an awesome thing, I could sure use a win in the sleep department lol.
At this point, I wouldn't worry about nursing to sleep. Ds1 nursed to sleep until he was over a year old. If I wasn't around or he was at DC he had no problem going to sleep for others.

Sort of. I nurse until either he's sleeping or very sleepy and then hand him off to MH who puts him in the MM suit and holds him upright for 15-20 min (for reflux) before putting him in the crib. Sometimes he's asleep already and other times he's drowsy, but he settles quickly. DS will not do this for me, though. He has to be out cold from nursing to fall asleep and stay that way.

Pretty much. Nurse to sleep and then put in MM suit. He wakes up as I cram him in so I rock upright for 10-15 min. Usually he falls back asleep. On days where he doesn't, my H rocks him until he's asleep. So a big no to putting him down awake at this age. Maybe in a few months.

I put him to bed asleep, but if he wakes as I'm putting him down, I walk out and cross my fingers. Works 75% of the time.
ETA dropped my phone on him as I posted this and woke him up! Lol oops... just going to keep rocking him here.

I went to bed at 11 and couldn't fall asleep... at 12 I decided to get up and do something. So now I'm cutting recipes out of magazines. Yay for alone time, but I'd rather be sleeping

We are doing okay! Put B down about an hour later than normal because we have DS1s back to school night. So far two wake ups, and the next one will be up for the day.

A is a unicorn baby. She doesnt like to eat right before she sleeps, and usually will not fall asleep while rocking (except MOTN) so I am able to do drowsy but awake with her. I didn't think it was a real thing.
J, on the other hand, nursed to sleep for 7 months until we sleep trained. As long as it is working for you and you are fine with it, I would not worry about it.
The only way I can get F to sleep is to nurse. Even for naps. I feel like DH is going to have a very hard time when I go back to work in a week and a half
Tonight is the third night in a row of "I'm sleeping. <transfer to PNP > haha jk I'm SCREAMING!"
Not fun.
Last night I took him into bed around 2 am. He was literally waking up every hour.
It's funny. Before I had F bed-sharing was something I said I would *never* do.
Ray I literally laugh out loud when I hear parents -to-be say they will NEVER do ::insert anything parent related:::. Especially bed-sharing.
The shit you do when you're tired is insane. If B didn't have such bad reflux I would pull him into bed more. As it stands if I can get him to take a pacifier I can lay down with him and pat his booty but he never really falls asleep. I wish he could sleep with us!

Does anyone else really struggle getting their baby back down if they wake up around 4-5am? Our first wake up is usually around 1 which is generally quick and painless, and the 2nd one is between 4-5. It is awful getting E back to sleep. Any tips? After a while, I'll bring him to bed and he will sleep on me for a bit, but I'm so paranoid about suffocating him that it's not too restful.
Yes rungirlrun. If it's after a certain time it's much harder to get her to go back to sleep. I would love to have a routine 7am wake up but I don't think that will happen for a few months.
I am thankful he goes right back to sleep though. He's not even really awake MOTN, but he is so hungry. I sent H up there twice when it had been less than two hours and B screamed so bad. It took twice as long to calm him down.
I'm hoping it's the three month growth spurt. I plan on breaking out the pump today so H can take the first wake up tomorrow night and I can sleep.
I feel like I am on the brink of insanity. Someone asked me a general question at the grocery store yesterday and for the life of me I couldn't answer her. I feel like I can barely function, let alone take care of two tiny people. H is great and really tries with B, but B won't have any of that nonsense.
