I asked my MIL what I should bring to their Christmas Eve party. She requested a handheld dessert that is not cookies. I don't think I know any handheld desserts that aren't cookies. Any ideas?
Don't hardly post on here anymore. Highs todays in the 90's again. Certainly doesn't feel like Christmas at all. We were going to go to the beach yesterday but I had a headache and didn't feel like sitting out in the sun too. Maybe today? Or I was thinking of inviting play date lady over but they always want to come like an hour before naptime when he's starting to get grumpy, and I think that's why they haven't gone so well. Rain is forecast for tomorrow and we're doing a cookie exchange. DH is bringing something like 8 dozen cookies. I feel like it's too hot to have the oven going.
After I put food on my kid's tray, my H will sometimes come and cut the pieces up smaller. It annoys me to no end. Like, I feed this kid all day every day, I know what he can handle, and, believe it or not, I happen to like having him around and wouldn't do anything to hurt him. Knock it off, dude. Mama's got this.

I love winter but hearing about warm weather is so nice
Yes to hearing about warm weather! The temp here right now is -18. Wind chill is -40. My H is going fishing. What an idiot. He'll have the gear, ice house, and probably a heater going but still.
Undecided on what we're doing today. Probably hang around the house. There's a Santa at a restaurant this afternoon, something like hot cocoa, cookies, and such. I would like to go to that if H will get home in time. If we sit and eat and hang out, DS would most likely warm up to wanting to go near Santa and maybe even get a photo.
But I forget, every year my sister and boyfriend dress up as Santa and Mrs Claus and visit DS so we'll have that as a photo op anyway.
So, if you saw on IG, R has finally perfected walking with the walker. It's all he wants to do now. And he gets so frustrated when he hits the wall or something (he obviously doesn't know how to turn himself yet) and it's quite hilarious to watch.

Morning! I'm up before the baby. Today I'm finishing a 5-layer chocolate raspberry cake for my mom's birthday tomorrow. Otherwise doing absolutely nothing. This week sucked hard.

These little things are awesome and unique, but you'd want to warm them when you get there.
(You don't need tiny oranges like in the picture.) Raspberry jam instead of the orange marmalade is also super delicious.

BUT WHY NO COOKIES
Apparently she already has several hundred. For a party with about 25 attendees.

Thanks to britterrss (I winged that, so probably wrong) I have yummy sugar cookie dough chilling in the fridge. Also, chicken in the crock pot. It's a perfect snow day. Besides the fact that I finally caught L's cold and have to work tonight. Honestly I'm surprised it took this long. She's always rubbing her snotty face on mine and giving adorably gross baby kisses...

MH is shoveling the whole (longish) driveway because we are getting new appliances today. I wanted to help and tried to shovel the front porch and sidewalk. LOLLLLLLLLL

mmmm I hope they turn out!
Omg they're soooooo good. Thank you! And I'm both proud and a little creeped out that I got your tag right off the top of my head, lol. It's like it's your real name 😳
DS is working hard on not napping at the moment. DD is napping. In about an hour we're going to get ready to head out to the restaurant (it's at a resort on the lake) to see Santa. I'm unsure if H will be home to go with us, he hasn't responded to my text. But I have my mom lined up to go with us as a backup. Lol. Yes I'm that person that is too awkward to go anywhere alone.
In nerdy news, I just ordered a big "household helper" binder (holds important receipts, warranty things, etc and records all important info) and I'm super stoked.

Ugh this is my first baby who gets crusty eyes. She haaaaaaaates having them cleaned. But I can't handle the gunk. Any other mamas who have babies whose colds manifest in stuck shut eyes? Tips besides warm washcloth (that's all I've been doing...)? Poor kiddo...
Omg I haven't had a chance to check in today! I'm buried under a mountain of laundry. I did 4 loads today. And will probably have to do 2-3 tomorrow. H uses a new towel every single time he showers or gives DD a bath. He refuses to hang up towels to let them dry and reuse again. Maybe I need to make him do the towels and see just how tedious it is.
Last night both DD and DS STTN. It was glorious. Plus when DD woke up, she said she was feeling better. She still has sores and a cough from the HFM, but I *think* the worst is over. On the downside, H has been dealing with a migraine for going on 2 weeks now. He saw the doctor on Tuesday about it. And our doctor gave him some meds to help deal with it. He also said that maybe eventually H should get a brain scan. Why he didn't set it up for sooner rather than later, I have no idea.
