I am getting my hair cut at 11 Wahoo. Then I plan on going to a fabric store I hope to find fabric for curtains in the baby room and then off to babies r us to pick up some of testify left on the registry that we need.
I also want to inventory my freezer and reorganize it but I might have to go back to bed instead. This headache is killing me.
Not too much going on here- just have a lot to wrap up at the office. Maybe I'll set a goal for leaving with a cleared off desk at the end of the day today. That would be exciting.
aggiebug are you doing anything drastic to your hair? I've been so temped to do a good chop lately...
Boo to headaches aggiebug. It sounds like you're braving it though! If probably just nap.
Back to work today. My shower was this weekend. It was great! A few people couldn't make it last minute bc of the weather, so they were missed. Otherwise, just a weekend of fighting with DH (we rarely fight). He thinks I'm crazy (probably am a little), and I think he's being an unsupportive jerk. We are at an impasse.
Thanks for letting me AW and vent! Have a great day everyone!
I'm waiting for the workmen to show up before going and stuffing envelopes at the museum. They're going to be taking down ceiling stuff and I need to know what they're going to do to mitigate dust, especially in the nursery. Also, I want to make sure they don't move furniture to odd places and I know where I can't have the baby stuff sitting.
Last night was also the first time I had serious issues finishing a workout and the first time that I really think my days at the gym are definitely numbered. I mean, I'm 37w4d today and I've been going consistently since the beginning, but I was kind of hoping to keep it up through the end of the month. Guess I'll talk to the doctor about it tomorrow.
izzy0927 I seriously thought about getting it cut pretty short but I know I will want to be able to pull it back during labor so probably nothing to drastic. Probably an inch off and getting some actual style back into this head will be nice.
kmcookie sorry you had a fight with H hopefully time will help resolve some of the tension.
I haven't had many headaches during this pregnancy so I feel lucky. I get migraines frequently but they are hormone related so this pregnancy thing is good for them. I am guessing time and a hot shower to help with congestion will help. Oh and a nap. Most definitely a nap
Rant: I had my dr appointment yesterday and I only progressed to 2 cm. Whaaaa! I've been feeling very crampy and heavy so I was hoping for better news. I don't want this for potentially two more weeks...but I know it'll happen when she and my body is ready.
BTDT question: Since i didn't get this far with my first, did you notice the baby's movements getting more subtle toward delivery? I don't feel those strong kicks anymore and it makes me nervous (even though my dr said any movement counts toward your "kick counts".

I haven't btdt but the Dr told me to expect them to become more subtle as they grow. They lose room to truly kick out so you feel more of the stretching and moving and less kicking if that makes sense.
Ugh... I wanna go back to bed. One day off wasn't enough. I did a whole lot of nothing yesterday and it was wonderful. I really don't want to go to work this morning. Guess I'll stop at Starbucks and get a frappacino to make me feel better.
Counting down the hours til I get back home already.

I'm working. I'm so over work and pretty much mentally checked out.
Today I'm going to try and teach a bunch of sales people how to use my fancy printer, so that should be interesting. $50 says it's broken when I get back from maternity leave.
I'm so over working. I've said I will work until I go into labor, but I'm seriously considering tapping out at 39 weeks. I'm 37+4 today and the 1.5 hour commute each way and sitting at a desk all day is making me seriously ragey.

dreemkin - it's normal to feel less extreme movement towards the end. Baby is getting cramped in there so you'll probably feel just more "rolling" than actually heavy kicks and punches.

This morning was the first time in awhile I did not hear or feel DH get out of bed to go to work. Today is another lazy day around the house with the only "major" activity planned is for DD to get her room cleaned and better organized since the crib will be delivered today.
Question: a friend of ours bought us bedding set for the crib for LO. It's not the one that we wanted and clashes horribly with the bedding set DD already has & the curtains in the girls room. I feel bad for wanting to take it back and exchanging it but we wanted the girls to sort of match or at least be in the same color scheme. Zebras & other Safari animals don't go with the teal & flowers/paisley print bedding DD has. DH says not to because "it was a gift & will hurt their feelings" as they are over here a lot. I'm torn... What would you do? Take it back for one that fits the room more or suck it up and deal with it even though you hate it?
I woke up this morning and turned off my alarm, I noticed that the alarm setting on my phone said that it is next set to go off on Wednesday at 6:10... I literally almost cried and thought, "omfg, is it really ONLY Tuesday?!"
lulu783, I totally understand where you're coming from... I've been in this boat since June but I need insurance so I've been sticking it out! I'm sorry you're experiencing this, I know it SUCKS being emotionally miserable every single day! Hugs!
I am on the don't want to deal with work today bandwagon. I wish my boss would just let me finish what I have on my plate instead of continuing to ask me about additional things.
dreemkin this was my worry yesterday! From everything I read it said that the movements would be more subtle but should still be fairly consistent with their usual patterns. Also babies at this stage are more in control of their reflexes so you don't feel as many sharp jabs.
Back to work today. 9 working days till my DD. Wednesday my fill in starts coming in, so I really want to make the end of the week. I think I can get done all the things that only I can do by then, so really wanting to make that. Next week, I think I'll see day by day how I'm feeling. I know if I don't go to work I'll just sit around and do nothing, so it would be good to keep my butt in gear these last few weeks.

Did they just pick this gift randomly or was it on a registry (and they got you something different than what you requested)?

mom2xover2002 That is a hard one. I'm assuming you didn't have a registry since they bought something you wouldn't want. You could say that it isn't recommended to have bedding in the crib.
Today's spam: I'm tired and worried. Last night I woke up to legit contractions. I didn't sleep well from 3 until I got up at 7. My belly is sore but hopefully the contractions are over. If they continue, I'm heading to L&D because I'm only 35+1 and I need him to cook longer.

Stuck in a box! Didn't think that happened here!
My dr said those checks pretty much only tell where you are starting from, not when Labor might happen. I don't really get why they do them in that case..thinking of declining my next one cause they hurt!

It was random and not what was on either registry.
flyster I know it's not a good indication of labor progression but I felt like I'd be further along lol. Wishful thinking.
mom2xover2002 I would exchange it. And if she asks just say what you told us. I don't get why people get all butt hurt for exchanging gifts. I would rather you have something you'll use than something shoved in a closet.

Had a great weekend with our house guests. However, going out to eat for every meal for 3 days probably is not helpful for me keeping my weight gain in check.
I am trying to buy the last necessities off our registry as well, but the BRU website sucks... a lot! I can't save anything to the cart. I can't checkout NOT using paypal, and I can't find the 10% off completion code where it is supposed to be. The live chat customer service lady can only reply 'huh that is odd that is is not there' - so thanks for the help. I am about to give up and buy everything elsewhere.
Doctors appointment today. I'm getting so very tired of these contractions. It hasn't been a huge deal since h has been off the last couple days, but he goes back to work today. Chasing around a toddler is not fun when doubled over in pain.
I'm jumping on the I don't want to be at work bandwagon. These last two weeks should just be clean up but things keep popping up...ugh.
mom2xover2002 I would exchange it too. An ugly outfit I'd keep and put on the kid, décor that i'll have to look at for the next few years defiantly goes back.

Thanks guys! I understand where the "animals" came from since the blanket I made her has owls on it. But even then the colors in the fabric match DD's bedding. DH will just have to understand why.

Your avatar here confuses me. I look at your sn and I am like "ooh look it's made scientist!"
