Another FWP: our maid asked if we had a cradle. I replied, "No, we have the old crib upstairs & using the PnP in our room for several weeks." A few days later, she drops off a cradle for us from another client cleaning out their attic. I thought cradle's were like small bassinet/baby Moses things. First part consists of a H-shaped 4 ft tall base and 4ft long, huge swinging basket. My super tall son fits in it. No hardware though.
They're back tomorrow. What do I do with this thing? We can't put it together bc no hardware, not sure it meets safety standards (slats look far apart) and nowhere to put it/don't need it.
I appreciate the generosity- not sure what to do w/this large piece of baby furniture.
I'm sorry. I'm no help. But the picture in my head is hilarious.

I can't even look at the bump board anymore..
Just this out---
First off please don't yell at me if this is being discussed elsewhere, I'm new to the birth club area because it seems like a lot of negativity happens here... Anyway- I am just looking to get some support on this, I've had a miserable pregnancy so far and I just want to be done!
I am 36 weeks +3, my baby "dropped" at 28 weeks and it's been misery ever since. At 32 weeks I had an ultrasound because my fundal height was measuring significantly larger than expected, the us estimated at that time he weighed 5 lbs 6oz(they said plus or minus a lb). My OB said at my 34 week apt that she was hoping he would have slowed his growth but hadn't I go for my 36 week and an us tomorrow. Yesterday I think I started losing my mucus plug, it wasn't bloody like most say theirs is, but it was significantly different than any other discharge I've had(looked like a yellowish booger!) it was a glob about the size of my fingernail. Does this sound like a piece of the plug? I've also had on and off yeast infections since 32 weeks so I was thinking maybe it was related to that.
I have been telling myself from the beginning that I will go early because I need something like that to get me through without going nuts! How do you keep yourself from going crazy during the last weeks? I'm still working but find myself being less productive and once I get home I'm usually too sick to do anything.
The slippery slope begins here. I skipped my daily swim today even though I was feeling fine; I was having another case of the morning.
What hand lotion/treatment cream do you ladies recommend for someone with insanely broken (peeling) finger tips? I think I'm probably exposed to the chlorine in the pool a bit too often, it's causing my finger tips to look terrible. At least they don't hurt (yet).
Eucerin is my all-time favorite for super dry, cracked skin. The pasty kind that comes in a jar would be better than just a tube/squirty kind. Also, and I don't know if they carry it where you are, but CornHuskers Lotion works well. It feels very thin and takes lots of rubbing in, but your hands feel so good afterward!
Welp, I'm officially checked out for the day... I don't get out of here until 4:45 but I'm no longer working... my adobe took a shit, I can't access my rdio account or youtube so I'm just done! Can't do shit with these AWFUL computers crashing on me every damn day! I guess at least on the bright side, my proboards is working

Good afternoon ladies!
I went to the chiro yesterday and they asked me when I was stopping work, I told him when my water breaks basically and he was really surprised. I'm with yo all though, I don't want to be here, I'm only 34 weeks.
Got my nails done today and trying to schedule a pedicure and haircut before baby comes. I never treat myself but I don't want to look frumpy. Is that bad? I always spend my extra money on DD
So the workers were on property today, but started in the other apartment. Color me disappointed. Hopefully they get to me tomorrow and there's someone who can let them in since I've got an appointment in the morning and I'll be going grocery shopping afterwards.
I've had a crappy/busy day at work (and it isn't over, so I'm spamming and running) but a good thing did happen today and I feel compelled to share with you all. Look at this delightful little morsel. The tax department offered me one as I walked by. YES, please. It wasn't too big, so I didn't feel too guilty consuming it. It was even better tasting than it was good-looking.
Way too many WKs randomly posting on TB telling them how they're all rude & shouldn't tell people to google questions/ask doc. It's a cluster.
I was still lurking somewhat over there but it really hasn't been all that fun over there. As you said, too many WKs. Maybe those that remain and are double dipping should just stop commenting on those ridiculous post and let the board be pathetic and dies on its own.

I'm starting to agree with you. I've been trying to watch both boards, but it's getting dumb. I shook my head at the one new WK who yelled that she only wanted the board for posting questions & didn't care about "making friends" or learning about others.

I know exactly which one you're talking about. I totally saw that and decided I'm done reading over there, there really isn't any new info to be learned anymore - unless the thread is opened by a reg. The board is now populated by entirely too much moaning about symptoms and has turned into yahoo answers for most part.
Well at almost 39 weeks turns out I can run pretty damn fast. I Was highly motivated by my DD running down the driveway and heading for the street with a car coming.
Add me to the list of being ready to stop working. I have until Jan 30th to go. Waaa! I have a lot to do which is great but I can't stay focused no matter how hard I try. I hope we all get through our last few weeks easily.
I have come down with a horrible cold and I am so congested and cranky. I am hoping baby doesn't try and arrive early and I kick the cold before my RCS. I have until Feb 3 to be ship shape again! Ugh.
Today was DD's very first dentist appointment! She did great but also has a tiny cold. They told us to bring her anyways. She was so excited to pick a new toothbrush and a prize but accidentally sneezed twice into the drawer full of toothbrushes, floss and paste. Whoops! We offered to reschedule!
So I just caught up on bump threads...what the heck is going on? It's a mess! hayleybug55 is on point though, you go girl!
allonsy221b I have got to stop going on TB. The stupidity is getting worse and worse. Someone just actually told someone that babies are fine when born at 36 weeks just because she got lucky and had a good experience with having a baby at 36 weeks. And that if she wants to naturally induce at 37 weeks that's her choice. I just can't. .
I've been on the bump a bit, but going to be headed off. The level of stupid is too high, its not even fun.
I wore my fancy new compression socks today. They are thick and white and go up to my knees. The level of sexy I bring now is off the charts. Anyway, I have ankles!!!! I forgot I had ankle bones! they are so funny looking.

Tonight DH has asked me about my "push pal" - referring to ChickenOnSunday and then asked what kind of interesting stuff was happening on my "bump blog". He is just cracking me up. Poor guy wants a "Dad Board" but I don't think they are very active/interesting.

It's not quite the same as a full blown forum, but your DH might appreciate the sub-Reddit board "Daddit".

I desperately need to get some compression socks if I am going to make it at work till my due date. I work at a convenience store so I am on my feet for 9 hours a day. The swelling in my calves/ankles/feet is outrageous and chugging water all day doesn't seem to help What kind do you have/recommend flyster?

I have to do another three hour glucose test so first thing Thursday morning...have had sugar in my urine last three OB visits so time for another gtt - noooooo! all I want right now is strawberry ice cream and I have nothing even remotely close in my house. And at target tonight I bought a thing of pizza rolls (3 for $9 right now ) since I've never had them and everyone's incessant talking about them has made me want them.

Make sure you aren't too impatient and cook them in the oven or toaster oven. They need to get crispy and are always disappointing from the microwave.
Haha I was actually going to ask about the best way to prep them. Toaster oven it is!

Your push pal is trying not to die. I got my third sinus infection of this pregnancy. I'm miserable.
