Even doing due diligence you can end up with a bad place or a bad teacher. It happens.
utpony let us know what they clarify. Medically 99 isn't a fever, so I'd have issue with that myself. When I worked I was our sole income and had very little PTO. Being called out for my hot kid would have caused issues.
Two of the three daycares we used took temps on all kids daily. I got called once by a new teacher to come get him because he had a temp of 100, and then was called right back by a more experienced teacher. First teacher took the temps right after they came in from running around and half the class had "fevers". Ten minutes out of the maryland heat and the whole class was okay again. ?
The teacher was super apologetic, but I wasn't upset at all. They were also really apologetic about the broken thermometer and would use two (new) ones after that.

paulheath - ugghh!! I'd be beyond irritated - TP to your mom for not respecting boundaries!!
I had no idea that there is a different size pillow for king size beds. I now need to buy new pillows because I cannot handle the extra mile of fabric on king pillowcases. DH thinks I'm nuts, and he may be right.
Also, I sent a picture to MIL of DD standing and holding on to a walking toy. Today I have received texts from MIL, DHs aunt and Grammy all excited that DD is walking (she's not!! Not even close) "I knew she would walk early! DH walked early and she's as advanced as he is!" "Oh, she's walking! Good, she'll be running everywhere now because DH did" and my favorite: "I knew she would walk before her first birthday!! Yia Yias know these things . Walking before the first birthday is a sign of higher intelligence "
There is not enough coffee in the world that could allow me to respond nicely to any of that. The ILs come to visit in T minus 10 days

Yia yia?
I'm snorting at that whole exchange.

rondackhiker - it took for-freaking-ever to decide on what MIL would be called. She came up with some seriously stupid ones. I finally suggested Yia Yia (Greek - which they are not) and she loved it. DH jokes that we call her Yia Yia because when she talks we roll our eyes and go "yeah, yeah".
sakura0019 I've had king pillows on my bed since I had a twin in high school. They are the BEST. Target actually makes really nice pillows, and Homegoods usually has a bunch too.
Haha! I'm getting ready to head to HomeGoods now because I have a gift card

I just learned of a place near my new house called The Crepery. I'm excited to try it.
We have one near us and it is freaking amazing. I had a delicious savory crepe that had roasted chicken, asparagus, some type of cheese, and a champagne sauce. I have dreams about that delicious creation.
And B is just fine! I'm so happy! And I'm really hopeful for what this means for the future of his dairy allergy.
That is awesome! It gives me more hope for DD even though that's ridiculous and it shouldn't. Have you been slowly introducing dairy since he turned one or what? Sorry, I don't know any other background about his allergy, just that you mentioned in another thread that he has one.
Ok, the bird is not flying around, but I did delay my response so you would think that. It's in a cage. I'm curious if this person is moving? Or bringing bird on vacation?
Parrot? Parakeet? Is it singing? Does it talk? I need to know!!!
There is a bird on my flight to Alabama. This trip is starting out right.
You know how there are always random pigeons in Home Depot?
You know how I hate birds?
One time in Home Depot I was carrying around a decorative planter of tulips browsing while H looked at something else. A pigeon swooped down and it's wing clipped my ear. I threw the tulips in the air, the planter exploded on the ground and then I started screaming. When H found me I was on my knees in shattered pottery pieces crying hysterically.
So... If I was on your flight they would have to call the air marshall and sedate me.

Am I the only one who thought like a blue jay had flown into the open door of the aircraft?
But seriously? Who brings their pet bird on an airplane.
I hate birds and do not understand having them as pets.

My BFF4eva went through a bird phase. We would go out for drinks and she would leave me at 30 min intervals to go check on her birds that she left in her car. She never went anywhere without them. It was strange.

I told some lady she shouldn't feed her kid peanut butter cookies at the indoor play place.
One, allergies.
Two, it's kind of shitty to give your kid a cookie and let him wander the mall play place because of crumbs and because now all the kids are trailing yours or hovering near your bag of cookies like begging dogs, rather than playing.
