katm84 that is bs. I hope that gets resolved soon. rosiepeare awesome gift! laur I like the color but maybe mix it with grey to mute it some since it is a large piece. @elf828 I love airbrush legs! Hmm, maybe I could get away with it. Glad lo is feeling somewhat better. Snuggle up today!
carseat - I'm scared to admit this but I've never had Nutella. Maybe that's the problem. I'm not ready for cookie butter.
We are having the WRONG conversation! It's not for everyone, but if you like chocolate you'd probably love Nutella. That said, I almost feel like a jerk suggesting you go buy some because it's the kind of thing you can eat out of a jar with a spoon.
You can put it on all kinds of things, but my favourite is on fresh baguette. If you're feeling indulgent I highly recommend.
Only Thursday?! I'm so ready for the weekend. DH and I need a date night sometime soon. I feel disconnected from. We haven't been without LO since before Christmas, so it's probably time. Not this week though...too much birthday party madness.
I hope you get a date night soon! It's been awhile for us, too. Are you feeling ready for the party?

Also, I called Tuesday morning about my ice skating rink road. It hasn't been treated for the past two ice storms and one snow storm.
The city td me they put it "on the list".
Nothing has been done with it still.
It's bad. I usually am not bothered by snow and ice but this is BAD.
What do I do now? Call again? I just talk to a 411 receptionist and so it's not like I can get upset at whoever answers. There's no at to reach the plow dispatchers.
rondackhiker does your town/city have a highway dept or highway supervisor you can call? You can also call or email your council person or whoever represents you. If it's a county road, do the same thing, just with county level officials.

Oh man. We live on a street that ends in a cul-de-sac, so we're always the last to get help, too. Your street is a disaster. I hope they get it sorted soon.

We're getting B's hearing rechecked this morning as part of the early stages of his eval. He's still off from his shots on Tuesday and I couldn't find anyone to come help me with A while this is happening, so obviously I'm super excited about how this will all go down.
@elf828 Mama snuggles go far in the medical world with our youngins. rosiepeare Hope she loves it. So thoughtful! laur I think the raspberry could work and be a nice bright statement piece. That being said, if you are feeling unsettled about it, either paint a bigger swatch for a better feel or try a different color. mamoseykarlamo ((hugs)) to you both. One for being gone and one for being left. Neither is the easy position to be in. katm84 Good luck with the convo. I hope it is a quick fix that just wasnt communicated the first time.
I feel like I am missing others, so ((hugs)) all around.
LO continuously nursed from 4-6:30. Are we in newborn stage again? I don't see how there is anything left.

Good luck lady! Hopefully A is just wonderful.
Thank you! I'm hoping to wear them both out before we go in. The receptionist couldn't give me any advice about what kind of state they wanted B in for this thing, so hopefully it doesn't matter too much. :/
rondackhiker my initial reaction is that you and your neighbors need to show some basic humanity and take care of the road yourself. How entitled to expect your tax dollars to go to road maintenance when you could do it yourself. But then I get real for 30 seconds... I hope you can get some help. That road is unacceptable and dangerous!
carseat is this hearing test done like the newborn one with the forehead electrodes? We had to have one of those. They preferred LO sleepy because motion can make the test not work. Or something.

I'm not sure! I remember they needed the boys asleep for the newborn one, but I don't know if this is different because he's one now. I figure it's best to show up with him sleeping and then we can wake him if necessary, right?
And everyone else who cares about my raspberry bench.
It's at the staircase landing so no natural light. The opposite side of the landing has a dark brown bookcase and dark brown wall shelves so I wanted something brighter.
The samples were on sale for $0.49 so I bought 12. I obviously have no impulse control.
I wanted to visit one of the sewing machine ladies, learn how to sew, and make a chocolate brown cushion for the top. Then put mustard and/or maybe a sky blue throw pillow on top.
I don't know why anyone would want to sit on the staircase landing but there you go.

Come visit meeeeeeee!
You've seen how nice my road looks. Totally a tourist spot.

Good idea. I'll do that.
This needs to be done before more snow falls.
The next thing I would do is call/email the local TV station. Do you guys have a help me Howard or something like that where they come and hound the city for you?

You know how to keep your kid asleep when you move from out of the car? I'm in awe!
They are still (for a very limited time now!) in their bucket seats! So I can usually get them from one place to the next still asleep, as long as they're sleepy enough. I'll keep them up until it's time to leave for the appointment - that'll actually be the hardest part because they have to come with me to take DD to the bus, so I'll have to pack them up, keep them awake, then get them home and active again before I have to pack them up for their 10:00 appointment.

laur you bought 12 different colors? Or 12 pink? I think from the way you describe it, you need a bright color! And if you do a chocolate cushion that will tone it down a little. I'm not sure about a mustard yellow pillow, but I'm never really sure about yellow.

Can you put a second coat of the raspberry when you get a chance? I actually think it'll look cute, especially since the wall behind it is neutral. I'd probably skip the cushion at first thought, but if you get a chance to snap a picture of the whole area I'd love to see it!

12 raspberry samples.
I don't know why.
When thing are a dollar or less I can't stop myself.
Eta- I bought the samples not knowing what I was going to use them for. That box had been hiding in a closet since we moved in so I figured what the hell?

laur I love the picture and think the raspberry will look great especially after you described the rest of your plans. I'm really funny about paint and basically everything we end up painting I pout for awhile but then end up loving it.
I agree that if you have enough for 2 coats, to do that!
I'll catch up in a bit, but holy f-ing shit balls I was doing the 2 year olds hair for school and T was crawling around the room, I looked over and he had shoved a fake plastic cookie all the way in his mouth and his eyes were watering, it had been maybe 20 seconds since I last looked at him...
I could see the cookie and it was clearly too big to go anywhere, but he was in panic mode... I pulled the thing out of his mouth and he vomited instantly and started screaming. 20 seconds... I'm still shaking... he seems totally fine, I'm just hoping nothing else went in his mouth before that plastic cookie...
I'll go back and read everything, just wanted to check in. Don't know if you remember, but DD threw up a couple of times on Saturday. She seemed fine otherwise. Sunday was fine, and then she threw-up again on Monday. Went to the Doctor, everything looked and seemed normal, Doctor said just watch for dehydration. DD ended up being fine, but she gave me the worst stomach flu I've ever had. Started Monday night and lasted a full 24 hours. Thank goodness my MIL was able to come get DD, because I didn't want to send her to daycare yet. DH was slightly ill, but nothing like me. Every two hours, even after I had nothing left to get rid of. My whole body hurt. I stayed home yesterday and just slept to recover.
I could seriously maim whoever keeps bringing their kids sick to daycare. 2nd weekend in a row that DD has woken up sick Saturday morning. We do nothing during the week except daycare and then home, so she is definitely picking it up there. ugh. I would love to work a full week one of these days.
