Good morning everyone! I woke up yesterday somewhat congested, and it has only gotten worse overnight. Usually I only get sick a time or two all year... I'm assuming DD is bringing bugs home from the other kids at the sitter. This only solidifies my wanting to stay part-time! I can only imagine what it would be like if she was in a full-time daycare!
I think we finally have most of our plan together for the birthday/Super Bowl party. Just a list of things to get yet, most of which I'll get that weekend.
I hope the LOs continue to feel better, megash113 & @elf828! Good luck today, carseat!
I felt like I had something else to say, but my head feels like it is floating in the ceiling, so I don't have any idea what it was!

Lo slept until nine after two wake ups...not to bad! Dh has been getting up with her one time do I can get somee sleep. We are all hanging out today so it will be nice to all be together. I think lo just needed sleep because today she is acting like her happy self...it she missed her daddy...
Good morning! I don't participate in randoms because I can't keep up, but I'm DYING over here because Octonauts just had an episode about blob fish and you ladies are all can think of!!
Have a good day!
I'm still reading through but I have to say I freaking love Octonauts and so does DS. I think the Vegimal Christmas episode is my fave. #ohthatcaptainbarnacles
Saw this one yesterday with the girls. They are obsessed...
I have to wake LO to go mall walking. Of course. But sure as I cancelled because nap, he'd wake up five minutes after we would be late, and I'd hate myself for not having an opportunity to be social and get out of the house. Plus I dressed him to impress, so we are going!

Also, I'm on my work computer-usually I am on via the app. How on earth do we have 4 pages worth of threads?!? I don't feel like I could see this many on the app, and I haven't read many of them. It looks like several are lurker intros.. I don't know if I'll have time to catch up with them all, but Hi, all ex-lurkers!
On the desktop site you can see who is lurking in the Feb 14 forum. It's not anonymous anymore. (Sorry lurkers, didn't mean to out you - just thought this was an neat feature)
I want to wear a ball gown now. Like...to work. And to the grocery store. And to go get gas. Everywhere!!!!
Also, this reminds me that a friend of mine recently wore her wedding gown into Costco. It was after the ceremony and during the photo shoot - they got a call from the caterers saying they were going to need more champagne. So my friend and her new husband pranced on into Costco in full blown wedding attire. I'd PIP but privacy, yo.
megash113 @elf282, I hope your LOs feel better. Ear infections sucks ass. Poor little buggers.
MissDemeanor, I missed it yesterday but just wanted to send hugs. You've had a rough time recently and I am so proud of you for being willing to handle this stuff head on. I totally get why you need to be 100% sure of your decision before you make it. Just know that you have eleventy hundred F14ers rooting you on, and assuring you that you'll be okay.
squirm i agree with pp who suggested patterned tights...bonus points if they're colored. Teal Tightsbaroque tights TJ Maxx and Marshalls are great places to find crazy tights for cheap! and I'm giggling to myself picturing your suggestion of baby quality control testers. they'd wear little glasses and ties and tote around baby clipboards, all while shoving things in their mouths. laur i think the raspberry color would be lots of fun, but my husband would never consent have anything so pink in our house. As a second choice, I think the blue-green color in Arizona and North Dakota is really pretty and would look good with the browns in your house already. rondackhiker the 10-year-old in me wants to go sliding around on your street, but the adult in me is horrified and can't imagine trying to drive on all that ice. I hope someone does something about it soon! bluedot glad your LO is okay!
The photographer I was thinking of booking for one-year shots has two upcoming openings -- one is the day of LO's 1-year appt. and shots. (The doctor appointment is 9 a.m., photos would be mid-afternoon.) Is that a terrible idea? Both are after her birthday, because I waited too long -- her birthday is 2/1, first opening (day of doctor visit) is 2/3, second opening is 2/12. WWF14D?
I would go with the second one. Doing a photo shoot after a day at the dr with shots sounds like a bad idea to me. You never know how they are going to react to them.

bookshelves I would not do a photo shoot the day of her 1 year appointment, E got 3 shots (in the arm because no longer a baby) and his finger pricked for a blood sample. He was a hot mess afterwards.
Okay, so I had to make this appointment for a receptive speech evaluation (and a hearing test to go along with it) for A and at the time, the place said they hadn't received the pedi referrals but they'd go ahead and schedule the appointments anyway. I just called them back to see if they had received them or if I needed to hunt them down and they told me that they had to cancel the appointments because he was too young. WTF? Why did they make them in the first place? They knew his birth date!
(This is separate from the EI evaluation, btw.)
WTF? Did they tell you what age they begin at? Does their office have a cutoff, or is the age set by the test? (As in some eye doctors don't see kids under 5, but there's others that do. v. our babies can't have measels shots until they're 1, firm)

I just realized I need to schedule DD's 12 mo pictures. Pretty sure it will be the week after her birthday, though. I also need to remember to get some photos printed for the party. Too bad my to-do list is at home. I would just start another list, except then the lists will never get combined, and something will get skipped.

R is in full blown baddler mode this morning. My parents are not helping matters. My mom keeps telling R that he should have some breakfast (so I'd know she thinks I should be feeding him) I know that he'll just throw it on the floor. But she knows better... Is it too early for baileys in my coffee?

Good morning everybody! Stupid sales meeting and then stupid work has made me late to the party. Also, holy trying to play catch up! I'd get caught up 2 pages, work a loan, and come back and there was another new page to read. Caught up now (I think).
@elf828 megash113 Glad to hear your littles are feeling better. Meg, I want to TP your ex-pedi. Glad W is finally smiling and chattering away.
laur LOVE that color. I am a major fan of pops of color and that is a gorgeous shade. BUT, to be fair, maybe you try one of the other 12 you bought just to show us/validate your purchase. I, like you, go apeshit with cheapies like that. "But it's only 75 cents!" So I bought eleventy.
bluedot Glad T's OK, but MY GOD how terrifying is that?!
rosiepeare Such a thoughtful gift. You're a total sweetheart.
shellbell YGPM back. Also, will you please forward a strongly worded letter to my management team about your feelings about me working instead of probing?
rondackhiker With ice like that, Georgia would be shut down.
adinashoshana Good luck today at school! I'm thinking about you!
To everybody else who needs love and hugs, besos.
I seriously haz zero motivation to work today. L was finally back to being her normal spastic self this morning. It's like when it rains for a week straight you almost forget what the sun looks like. I got blinded with her beaver teef this morning, grinning from ear to ear in her crib when I said good morning.
Also, like @elf828 and some of the other, I don't do nude tights. The thought makes me cringe. Shudder, in fact.
Lunch is in an hour and I'm way too excited--there's a place called Zoe's here and it's a Mediterranean kitchen. I always get the hummus and salad plate and it's just that: greek salad, hummus and pita bread, and raita yogurt. Their dressing is AMAZEBALLS red wine vinegar and oil and spices, and geez now my mouth is watering.
ETA: spacing because I sound like a crackhead with ADD.
Does anyone else get creeped out by the Hanging Tree remix on the radio?
My 4 1/2 year old loves it and it's super creepy when she's like "they strung up a man/they say who murdered 3".
laur I'm kind of mad at you because now I have that song stuck in my head. I LOVE Jennifer Lawrence, but holy baby jeebus in golden fleecey diapers, she does not need to record any more "music." It's like when Keanu Reeves tries to be a rocker. NOPE. +1 on the creep factor.
