innanni, so cool! I was a guard girl, or "Captain Flag Flipper" as my family liked to call me when I was a section leader. ;-) MH was a sousa player.
And I'm not playing trivia Crack, but I think I should be! And I'm not so patiently waiting for the online test dates to publish, my 18 month waiting period after my in person is up, I need to try again!
I marched the cymbals at my college marching band was the most fun thing I've ever done.
And I also deeply desire to be on jeopardy but you've gotten further with it than me. If you play trivia crack, my name is the same there.
Girl, I bet you have great arm muscles.
Yeah, I used to . They are not what they once were. I still go back and play in the alumni band at homecoming. My arms burn for days afterwards, but it is worth it.
edit to add...I played the biggest pair usually, which means I was considered the worst cymbal player of the group because the lower tones carry less well than the higher tones, but it also meant that I was the buffest of them all.

Excellent, color guard and percussion can mix, right . Our section leader dated and is now married to our color guard captain. Sousa people mix well too. I think it's because the three groups are all used to hauling all that heavy equipment.
Did you prefer flags, rifles or swords?
Ive always registered for the online test, but always had some scheduling conflict come up last minute. Maybe this year is the year! I didn't play TC until about two weeks ago when my husband demanded I get on so he could beat me. I've been stomping him ever since.
and I'll just be happy if I can just ever get on the show. I'm not going to be the next Ken Jennings. My husband likes to tease me with this song. We are huge weird al fans.
tLex, we are soul mates! I love clean sheet day! It's my favorite day of the week! And I always change out my pajamas for a fresh, clean pair on clean sheet day, too. DH laughs at me but I love it!
Also, baths. I take one every night after the kids are in bed.

I'm having fun reading all of these!
I'm 30, and I have a son named Max who turned 1 on 1/17 (he was very early so I've been hanging out on the Feb 14 board since well before that. I'm a kindergarten teacher. I love reading and I have read a record number of books while nursing the baby in the last year ha ha. I used to love working out and doing sprint triathlons but I haven't been able to get a good routine with exercise since going back to work last April. That's about all I can think of

I'm jealous of reading while nursing. I never got the hang of it.
Late to the party, but this was fun to read, so here we go!
I'm a FTM to the dark-eyed and dimpled little man Connor, who turns 1 on 2/24. My twenties are quickly coming to a close, as I turn 30 in April. DH turns 30 nine days later, so we generally celebrate together and joke that I'm the older woman. We both grew up and live in MN (hiii, starfisher and dizzycooks; I didn't know that you did too!).
I've been a SAHM since DS was born and still don't know if it's for me, but I haven't felt compelled to job search, so there's that. Previously I was a church music director and private piano teacher. DH works in food safety as a quality manager, and his job has moved us around the state 3 times in the last 3 years. We met in college and were married in 2009. We hope to have at least one more kiddo, but aren't ready to start trying yet. We have a 3 year old black lab mix named Bailey, who DS adores. The feeling is almost mutual.
I'm shy and am often the least talkative in a group, but my besties see my goofy and quirky side. I love pickles and Relax Riesling so, so much. My hobbies include crafting, sewing, baking, and shopping for deals.
This is great! I started my lurkig in the third tri so I missed a lot of this and have been using mamosey like Wikipedia for all of you.
I'm 34 FTM and mamosey's wife. I am a nationaly certified ASL Interpreter and got my BS in Interpreting. I have worked staff positions in the past but am currently self employed. I work about 24 hours a week and am a SAHM 2 days a week. Fun little note on me, right while we were in the middle of TTC R, I got accepted to a master's program to become an NP. I thought having R was right around the corner so I declinded the spot I still have 5 years left to reapply.
I am currently trying to get mamosey to move back to Chicago
My minor in college was ASL. I sadly do not remember a lot of it only a few years later. It really was one of those "you don't use it you lose it" type of things. I wish I knew someone I could sign with to help remember some of it beyond the basics!
avswolf. Yeah, that;s how I remember it. The food was not so great, but the kitsch factor was overwhelming. The children's museum there was amazing. I really want to take my son in another year or so.

Add me to the need to practice ASL more. I used ASL to satisfy my foreign languagecredit in college and would have loved to study it more. I figured that it really is one of the most common languages in the US and would come in handy.
Soo, I'm super late here but got behind then wanted to read all of the intros before I posted.
I'm in CA near Sacramento. DH and I are both 30. We got together on a drunken yet innocent New Year's Eve 2008. He is the best person I know. We have two kiddos, Jonah recently turned 3 and Amelia will be 1 on Feb. 28th. I'm a second/third grade teacher.
I'm introverted until you get to know me. I have a big mouth and have a hard time keeping quiet when something bugs me. I'm also a major homebody. My favorite foods are pizza and ice cream which I will absolutely devour enormous amounts of once I'm done breastfeeding DD (dairy allergy). I just did the math and I'm down 78 pounds from what I weighed when I checked in at the hospital, which doesn't even seem possible! Oddly enough, I can still wear most of the shirts/sweaters I had before.
I super ♡ F14 and have been here since my BFP. We're officially trying for kid 3 now that AF has returned.
#longwinded And you should know by now I love hashtags.

shellbell my Kindle was key... I was gifted a couple of real books in the last year and I have not even opened them because I have just no idea how in the world people do that while nursing (though I'm sure they can). My baby was the SLOWEST nurser ever... like over an hour each feeding as a little baby so if not for reading I might have gone insane. I'm not very good at just sitting
