9 days PP and there is a spot at one end of my incision that is leaking fluid. I really hope I'm not getting another wound
Me too. I'm just watching it and making sure I stay clean and dry there. Call your doctor if you aren't sure!
I saw my OB the day it started. She said it didn't look like it was going to come open and to keep it as dry as possible. The leak was a one time thing it seems. On the upside, I'm already on antibiotics for the uti so it shouldn't get infected.

Antibiotics for wound infections aren't the same for UTIs so if you are concerned about your wound I would mention it to your doctor.

I didn't have sex for the first time until 11 weeks pp with DS1. Not something you want to rush. Also it didn't actually feel good/not hurt until about the 5th or 6th time.

Also if anyone wasn't aware breastfeeding plays a role in this too and can make sex very uncomfortable.

Ugh! Don't remind me. My poor husband. During pregnancy, sex drive pretty much turns off for me ( I did do alittle better this time round but it's been forever) and last time BF'ing made me dryer than a desert - sex was painful. Midwife recommends Epsom salt baths? IDK but I'm going to look into it. And lube, lots of lube. I hope to be better this time around but we'll see

I will look into that too! It's seriously the worst to have no desire and cringe at the thought.

MH is already counting down to my post partum appointment. Heh.
I'm trying not to be anxious. I'm hoping since I wasn't able to give birth vaginally that at least in terms of tearing and stuff I'll be good. I'm just not interested in it at all at the moment.
Speaking of lube... Get Astroglide. I'd never heard of it until my OB suggested it after bringing up the whole dry/ painful sex while BFing at my yearly exam last time. It's seriously life changing.
Ugh.. So I've went from like normal PP bleeding to just straight bleeding. Not enough to fill a pad in an hour, but enough to be uncomfortable. Is it normal for the worst PP bleeding to be over a week out???

My OB told me in the hospital that I should be prepared for a gush/heavier bleeding about 10-14 days post delivery. I did have one. I took it easy and I've been pretty good since.

The only thing anyone told me was from a nurse on the way out who said if you bleed thru a hospital of in an hour, it's more than likely an "ambulance to the hospital vs calling the advice line." Way to make a new mom paranoid.

I'm at day 10 now and definitely had a heavier flow today (aside from the first couple days).
7 days PP. Nobody warned me about how much worse PP uterine contractions can be with the second baby! They are not as frequent now, but breastfeeding triggers them. Also, I thought my perineal care in the hospital was much better with my first son. A resident stitched up my second degree tear and took forever, I could feel it and they had to add more lidocaine, then after I had to ask for an ice pack and pain meds.
Ouch! That sounds awful. You are kinder than me. I refused all residents. Lol
I actually don't remember them asking me if it was ok..Up to this point they were so good about confirming if it was ok for residents to even be in the room or measure me at appts. It also wasn't my wonderful Ob - it was one of her partners, because she didn't make it to the hospital in time. I was busy snuggling my baby and realized it when it started hurting.

I'm heavier than even the first few days at 9 days pp. =/

+1 for heavier bleeding 10ish days pp. I don't remember exactly what day it was but it did pick up quite a bit about a week and a half pp. I even had to get out one of those hospital pads for an overnight just in case.

My nurse at time of discharge said it could ebb/flow in the first couple of weeks
Sex: Way to soon to think about it! What helped me the most last time to get things going was "literotica"! Tons of dirty texting with hubby all day also!
