I used to want sex all the time and DH used to be the one saying no. Now he's trying to bribe me to! I told him I wasn't cleared yet because my OB said nothing strenuous for three months. He's not buying it.
I just had my 6 wk and the scale was depressing. More so than my urinary incontinence problems. So NOW im a crying mess. Seriosly, who gains weigh after delivery!!!! Oh wait, me! Twice!!!!!
I'm sorry! I have gained post delivery too. It sucks!
So that makes 3 in our special club... Any other takers?! Lol
MH and I just DTD and it actually didn't feel too bad! It wasn't as pleasurable as it was before delivering yet, but I'm super excited it wasn't painful. With A it was several months before we could actually finish without me saying it was too much pain and stopping in the middle. And probably 8 months before it felt okay enough for me to not cringe at the thought of. My poor H lol.
Same same on the weight. Went down a lot then I put back three or so lbs. This is precisely the moment I started thinking about weight loss haha. Wasn't the easy weight loss fun while it lasted?
MH and I are cleared for sexy time. We could not wait to get the go ahead. Now that we have it we are dragging our feet because we have zero interest in condoms... blech!

I am resurrecting this thread to ask an embarrassing question. I am almost 12 weeks postpartum and still dealing with a fissure. At the point that I had my follow up with my dr, I forgot to mention it. I had one with DD which cleared up on its own and assumed that this one would too. Anyone have experience? Do I wait it out, go to dr or is there an at home remedy?

I got mine to heal with miralax twice daily so my stool was super soft. I know someone else here had one (?westiemom maybe) and they got a topical ointment to use. I would see your doc about it at this point.

Is there a nurse line you can call? They'll be able to help you with whether a "home remedy" will work. At this point, it may be best to just go in.

The pain is sometimes from scar tissue. Scar massage can help.

westiemom, agree with scar massage. Also, breastfeeding doesn't help things there!
Not my personal experience, but my friend who had almost 4th degree tearing with her delivery did scar massage for about 2 months (daily) and life was back to normal. She went on to deliver a 2nd babe, who was almost a pound bigger, with a tiny 1st degree tear! She said she did massaging for the last 4 weeks of her gestation to help.

I dealt with it for a good 4-5 months after DD was born. Not so much this time around. Nursing impacts your hormones and causes dryness so lubricant is a must.
