S1 puked three times last night. Rapid fire. H dealt with it. I'm not sure if it is because he is snotty or actually sick. My boys have a birthday party today so I'm not sure if I should let him go or not. He is acting fine but puke is puke ya know?
I also have my shower today:) I don't like things in my honor but luckily am sharing the spotlight w another mom.
I am going to spare you all my general mood for right now. Contractions were, again, strong and consistent last night. 1 min long and 2 mins apart from about 2 until 10. Just as I said to H, "These are getting pretty painful, let me give it one more hour and we will go" they stopped. Again. So yeah. I am in "F*ck everything" mode right now
I hope we see a few new squishies soon! I'm off to the pool for a bit with my MIL. DH is working on his car this weekend and FIL is out of town, so we're going to keep each other company for a bit. Other than that I have paperwork to get done, and house work to get done but it's hot as balls so I'm saying f it and going to the pool lol

I have a mini-shower today. It's my mom, 2 sisters, 1 aunt and 1 cousin and we are doing lunch at an Italian place mmmmm. I live 9 hours away from my closest family (18 hrs from my mom and 1 sis) so I'm grateful they made the trip down to me

dc2london, hopefully things pick up soon and she makes her grand entrance this weekend.
I'm headed to some baby stores to return/exchange things and do some walking. Then I'll be getting a pedicure. Nothing else really planned for the weekend. Just going to try to relax and keep my feet up so they don't get too swollen.

DD sleeps in my room on her own bed. I told DH that I am getting a cold and I took Benadryl last night. I woke up at 6am and DD wasn't in her bed. I got up and looked for her. She was sleeping with DH on the couch. Cute!

dc2london That's how things went here last night, too. And then each time I'd declare them to be stopping, they'd pick up again. Eventually they stopped altogether. Fingers crossed for you that they either stay away today, or turn into something.

@dorkusnalorkus dc2london - come on babies!! We need some excitement up in here this weekend!!
Nothing going on with me, but baby's kicks are HIGH this morning. Hopefully he's kicking off my ribs to propel himself into the birth canal. That's how this works, right?
eaglewife - I forgot to reply to your post last night but I really hope mine doesn't come before yours - especially when you have only 6 days left! SO excited for you!!! I'm all ready to update our ladies here and on CAR when your LO makes an appearance!
@suesposa - Did you end up getting a sonic shake last night?! And steph - hope you enjoy the malt if you do go out for one today!!
We are doing some errand running today b/c I was too exhausted after the dr's appt and lunch yesterday Hopefully being in and out of air conditioned places will make the heat a little more bearable. Gonna pack a cooler with some drinks too.
Have a great Saturday ladies and stay cool and hydrated under this "heat dome!" I'll try to stalk and check back as much as I can for the squishes!!!!!
Good morning ladies! Hope everyone starts feeling ok, and have fun at all the showers! Hope to start seeing lots of babies soon!!
I have been up since 5 am, I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. But my friend is bringing her son over for a play date this morning, so that should be fun.
Then later tonight my parents are watching the girls so we can go on one last date night. Should be a pretty good day!
B and I are at the movies seeing the secret life of pets. I love this theater. The giant recliners are the best. Then we're going to chick fil a and target. I told DH I hope he gets a ton done this weekend because I'm getting way too pregnant to run around all weekend to stay out of the house.
The calf charlie horses have been so bad lately. I'm jumping out of bed at least twice each night. I think it means I need that malt agpjt413
dc2london and @dorkusmalorklus hoping to see that your babies are here asap!

The dress i wanted to wear for date night either shrunk or i grew, maybe a bit of both. I washed it in cold, but now hugs my hips a bit more then I'd like and is shorter. Luckily i have another thats the same, but was always a bit bigger. It is not as nice at it was, but better then the other one. I am really running out of clothes now!

We went to our local arboretum this morning. 9 a.m. and still too hot. Now DH is replacing our glass cooktop. I dropped an empty glass spice jar right on the edge and it chipped. When I next fired up the burner it cracked through! Glad he is pretty handy.
I know the feeling too hollyberry - and I feel like I don't want to buy anymore than I need to during these last few wks! Hope you find something for date night!
Sorry about your cook top gratefulgirl but glad to hear how handy YH is! That's pretty awesome!

Huge hugs!! Totally get that over here to. Things are becoming way to short Orr don't cover my bump at all lol. It's a rough one getting dressed!! At least we are getting soo close!!
kokopelli Yay, glad the whole family will be together.
For the STM and beyond, what are your plans for the other kids if you go into labor in the middle of the night and have to go to hospital while kids are sleeping? My parents live about an hour away and my H's parents live about 10 minutes away. I told him that I need to be able to rely that his mom will pick up her phone and come over to take care of DD. H doesn’t understand why we can’t just bring DD to his mom’s place...I tried telling him that then DD would wake up, be in a new place, not want to sleep, and make it very hard on his mom both that night and then the day after when they are both really tired. Sigh. I don't know what most people do. Thanks!

shanny not a STM here, but I was "on call" for my BFF when she had her second in Feb. I love closer than either of their parents. They didn't end up needing me, but I was willing to come over and sleep the rest of the night there so their son (18 months) could just stay sleeping.

shanny we haven't really planned for this my instinct would be I would drive myself to the hospital and then when family could get here they would kind of thing lol my mom is 2.5 hours away

It's so different planning for non-first pregnancies! Lots of little details I never had to think of before.

Isn't that the truth!! And I can't figure out what the heck my body is doing so planning for maybe going into natural labour is a mess haha my poor mom texts me every day to check in.
shanny, We had 2 options with our kid. If baby came early he was going to go for a sleep over, what they call respite in foster care land. If MIL got to town before baby came, she is approved to watch him. She's here now and will stay with him while we're at the hospital. We have 2 cars so she will have use of one and we will have one at the hospital.
The tougher thing for us is figuring out who will take care of the animals. We have 10 pets total ranging from snakes, turtles, tortoises, cats and dogs that all require different care. MIL is not equipped to take care of the animals. I do have a relatively trustworthy friend and his GF who have watched our animals before. They are on standby to take the dogs to the groomer and I need to discuss with them if they'd be willing to care for everyone else while we're gone.

shanny FWIW, we will call MIL to meet us at the hospital & either wait with the kids in the waiting room or take them to her house (10-15 minutes away from the hospital). But that's because I have a history of fast labors, so getting me to the hospital is our first goal, and there *probably* won't be a long wait between going and baby (knock all the wood). We wouldn't have time to wait for her to come to our house before leaving for the hospital, or that would probably be preferable.
Another anecdote: when my little brother was born, my mom went into labor overnight, and her sister was there to take care of us when we woke up. I don't think anyone had told us the plan in advance (I was 4), and remember it being really jarring. (Also she made oatmeal for breakfast and it was July.)
