I had ice cream for lunch yesterday too- excellent choice! My life seems to be a giant sweets craving lately. I'm not sure whether to blame BFing or lack of sleep.
We have a weight check again today. I am hoping for at least a one ounce gain. I get so stressed out about these appointments.
MH met me at the hematologist's office, they did the bloodwork and my platelets came up from 92 to 96! The doctor felt a lot better about those numbers but wants me to come back in one more time. He offered another B12 shot and I was like "hell no, it made me felt like a drank a case of Red Bull!"
We left there and headed to my OB office. We had a growth scan and BPP, she's growing right on track, already 6lbs and has a ton of hair, I was so happy, I was worried this kid would be bald (MH thinks he might have been).
We met with a different OB who's a lot less scatter-brained and told us I haven't dropped yet and wouldn't even put me through a cervical check. She said at this point if they induced me it would make no sense because I probably wouldn't go anywhere and end up with a c/s. She said I'm definitely giving birth in the next two weeks and we'll have a c/s scheduled by the end of the day. Okay, great. Last week I was number 10 on the c/s waiting list. They did more bloodwork for preeclampsia and told me their OR scheduler would call me back.
We left the office so excited, I finally started to bond with this baby. I had a hard time this whole pregnancy bonding with this baby because I was waiting for the other shoe to drop.
At 2pm, the OR scheduler calls and tells me that nothing had changed since last week and I'm still number 10 on the waiting list. I reminded him I can't go past 39 weeks, he was aware. I then asked him why if we were told by MFM to not go past 39 weeks to not schedule this in like June. He said the doctors should have done that. I'm livid. Now I wait until Tuesday to see what the OB says now. I have a feeling I'm going to have a long induction and an emergency c/s which means almost a week in a hospital. Lame.
Good news is that my BW came back from the OB's office last night and my platelets are up to 106 now!

youdontsay - that really, really stinks. I am so sorry. ((Hugs)). I hope they figure something out! Can they "schedule" an "emergency" c-section without induction? As in can you go in and just go to the OR instead of going through the induction if that's what you and your OB think is best?

The only way would be a true emergency. For example, my friend with her 2nd had a RCS for November 11 (this was years ago), she ended up getting in a car accident on her way to her baby shower and even though she insisted she was fine and the baby was fine they told her she had to deliver and they did an emergency c/s when she was 37 weeks. So yeah, if I had a true emergency, if I was bleeding profusely or was in an accident, no questions asked. I guess because it's "only" preeclampsia, AMA, and an IVF pregnancy that I can sit at number 10.
That's really frustrating, youdontsay! I really hope they can work something out.
Last night was not great. I attempted to move her back to her crib from the rock n play. She was up much sooner between each feeding and spit up a lot from laying flat. Then both the big girls were up early. I need so much coffee today.
I really didn't want her sleeping in the RNP every night, but we both sleep so much better, so I don't know what to do.
I hear ya on going to court lennonkdc. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned bailing on an arraignment, well I'm bowing out of a hearing this coming Tuesday lol! FFTC: I told them I was already on maternity leave - which technically isn't a fib, fib b/c Tuesday is only 3 days before my due date. And with how low this kid has dropped, the BHs being more intense...I honestly feel like go time may be sooner than later.
Good luck with the weight check annbuhdan! Ugh those are so nerve wracking. youdontsay that is BANANAS. I would probably be sobbing in the corner. But so glad your platelets improved!
Little miss may be having her 7 day growth spurt a touch early. She ate every 2 hours all night. Not a big deal, she is entitled to do so. But then my sister (who has no children yet) rang this morning and said, "You sound tired." Well, I am. "I know the feeling, " she said. No.

elm1214 - with DD2 I used this mattress elevation + receiving blanket nest trick to get her out of the RnP somewhat into the crib because DH despises our kids sleeping anywhere other than the crib. Pediatrician is very party-line AAP on sleep spaces, but she gave semi-approval.

I almost forgot about all those growth spurts! That first one after leaving the hospital I was just convinced she was starving to dealth.

annbuhdan Good luck today! My 2 big kids both had some weight gain issues early on, so I know how stressful weight checks can be. Fingers crossed for you!
youdontsay Oh wow. How frustrating to deal with that! I'm so sorry they didn't get it together to just schedule you sooner.

Can you elevate the crib mattress? Anything solid underneath the mattress should work since it only has to be slightly elevated. We used to do it with DD when she had colds frequently.
gratefulgirl and thelorax, Thanks, I think elevating her mattress is going to be my next attempt. I think she likes the snuggled feeling of the RNP so maybe the blanket nest would help her feel that way too.
I have a Snuza monitor I use when she is in the RNP so that makes me feel a little bit better, but I was really hoping to get her straight to her crib so I didn't have to deal with the transition later.
Target is getting rid of their Circo brand clothing if you need anything they had a ton on clearance. We somehow only have 3 sleepers so I bought a few more with zippers, not those awful snaps, for pretty cheap.

Whaaaaaat?! Guess who's making a target trip! Lol
I'm sure it varies by store, but a lot of the clothing was reduced by almost 50%.
So frustrating youdontsay mine is being "scheduled" as an emergency because there were no times on Friday when she wanted to have the section. Hopefully they can fit you in somewhere huge hugs with the not knowing
youdontsay I'm sorry. That's insane. I can't believe the waiting list!! I don't think it's fair to make you go through an induction they really think won't work for you. Can't they just fake it or something? Ugh.
DH gets paternity leave this time and put in his paperwork yesterday. Apparently if he doesn't submit his claim by Monday he won't get paid for Labor Day (boo boo welcome to my life) and has kindly requested I hurry up! This is the same guy who doesn't want to schedule an eviction for 41 weeks (next Friday) because "you made it to 42 weeks last time." Men! Edit that is actually over 41 weeks!
Glad YH put in his paperwork already!! thelorax Mine starts paternity leave tomorrow (well tomorrow is his last day). I'm getting really excited about that!!

I'm literally planning to work up until baby comes. I get 12 weeks FMLA and I don't want to waste of of that time sitting at home waiting for her to come if she's late. I'm really praying she's not late and decides to show up next week or even in her due date would be great. I will be asking when they'll do inductions if there is still nothing going on at next week's appt.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)

I always work up until the baby gets here. I find it a nice distraction usually. With DD1 I was at work the day before she was born. Since I was only PT with DD2 and she was born on a Monday I was off the Friday before. This time I will be at work the day before my RCS. The timing actually ended up perfect this time and I'm happy.
My brain is not functioning today. It's like I'm in a giant fog. I was planning to make the day a big work day and check as much as possible off our to-do list. Now I think I'll be lucky if I don't end up back in bed.

Working here too, but I sometimes wonder about that choice! If I lived in CA or Canada I'd be enjoying my leave currently, but since I don't I won't.
MrRama got into an accident this morning on his way to work. Everyone is [currently] physically okay, but our car is totaled. We're a single-vehicle household and we absolutely need a car. I'm stressing big time.
