I will cry if my csection gets cancelled. I wonder if I can just not answer my phone that morning and just show up.
With everything I've read about scheduled inductions and c/s getting cancelled.... I have decided I am not answering my phone Thursday night/Friday morning and just showing up at the hospital for my scheduled induction. They will just have to deal!

Also, my uncle is lucky that he wasn't standing in front of me when he asked "What's going on? You planning on giving birth to a 5-year-old?" just now, because he would have gotten slapped. Not "may have" - WOULD HAVE.
Being home with 4 kids wasn't hard until the oldest 3 got pink eye and some sort of summer cold and cough. I'm trying to keep the baby away from them but it's not working that well. I'm carrying a bottle of germx around in my pocket. My 2yo is hella pissed at me. I feel awful because all she wants to do is snuggle but I have a baby that needs the boobs more right now. It's just an impossible situation.

Wow, talk about having your hands full. Good job, I can't imagine how you do it all!
@suesposa so glad you have been admitted! Can't wait for your update!
kokopelli, thanks! Baby is doing well at NICU. He is currently on sugar water IV and he got a cotton swab with a couple drops of my colostrum. Pumping right after delivery is giving me such cramps and so demoralizing getting one drop over 20 minutes. I hope that baby doesn't get pink eye and cold!

I have a doctors appointment at 4:00. My plan is very selfish!! I'm going to put DD down for her nap 30 minutes early, then wake her up 30 early, so she only loses 30 minutes of her nap. Then head to town so I can go by sonic for a cheese burger and the good snowcone place. I always leave town by 1:30 and the snowcone place dosent open untill 2:00. So I figure if I can be I town by three I can do both, just incase (though not likely) they decide this kid needs to come today! Right now I really need a coconut cream snowcone more than anything and chees tater tots!
ETA. There is no way I can actually eat all that, and I WILL get heartburn. But at this point I just don't care!
shanny hand expressing got me the most colostrum that first 48 hours. But they made me pump for stimulation too. I remember pumping "empty" bottle and they still took them down to nicu and mixed the donor milk in them to make sure they got every drop I produced. Seemed crazy but the whole nicu experience is crazy. Keep it up momma! Hopefully your milk will come in quickly and be plentiful
@suesposa I'm so glad you went down there and got admitted! Fingers crossed so hard that you have an uneventful labor & delivery after all you've been through!
kokopelli post partum unit gave me syringes to put the colostrum into after pumping in the bottles so when I didn't have enough to even transfer into the syringe, I just washed the pump parts. There went two sessions before NICU told me I could just put it on a cotton swab head!
I got DD3's newborn pictures back, and there are a few that I'm just in love with. There is an amazing one of all 3 girls, I've already ordered a big canvas for above the fireplace. I also got her birth announcements ordered yesterday, so I'm feeling accomplished!
