DD3 is now down 7% of body weight. Milk, you can feel free to come in now!
Found out via chatting that a friend of several friends is literally next door here at the hospital. Our babies were born the same day. She said they'd visit in the morning. How fun is that?

I'm so tired. I hate this constant state of complete exhaustion. My ILs are keeping the big girls overnight Saturday-Sunday so I'm hoping I can sleep in a little bit on Sunday. I'm happy to have all my girls obviously, but I kind of miss when DD1 was a newborn and I could actually sleep while the baby slept during the day.
That's really neat about your friend's mutual acquaintance delivered the same day, at the same hospital and is next door! Hope you guys have a fun visit! And hope your milk comes in soon gratefulgirl!!
Couldn't really sleep - although I was comfy (for a change) most of the night. I think I'm just anxious about this 40w appt, which will be in about five hours.

And the A16 curse continues! Made DH call the hospital a few minutes ago, since that's what our induction instructions say to do (we were scheduled to go in at 7). They told him to call back at 8, and they expect to have had a few women deliver by then. FML. If I don't get to go in sometime this morning it is not going to be pretty.

Oh no!! FX'd that you guys do get to go in at 8am!!!! I'm really hoping that if I end up having to schedule an induction, I won't get bumped either!!!
I just had to wake up baby boy to eat. This feels so wrong lol. He went down at 9 and it is now 245. I didn't expect him to sleep so long but I'll take it.
Does anyone have any tips for taking care of stitches? I have about 40..and sitting/walking/moving is fresh hell for me. The dr just keeps saying witch hazel but there's got to be more I can do. I hurt so bad.
Hugs for the stitches mama - YOUCH!! I hope some other ladies have some tips they can offer as well!

Nononono! Am praying they get you in this morning!

I did a combination of witch hazel pads and dermoplast. The nurses/dr recommended using a sitz bath or a shallow bath in a regular tub, but finding time to do that never really worked for me. Oh! And I did padsicles--poured witch hazel onto a pad and froze it. I've seen people add aloe & I think chamomile tea to that as well. The cold felt good, although the nurse who helped delivered maDS said cold only for the first 24 hours, then heat. I hope that helps!

Are you on any pain meds? I have 800mg of ibuprofen I also have some Percocet I can take if needed.

You have all my sympathies. This was definitely me Monday. Does your hospital have an admittance policy? When they cancelled me, I knew they would have to keep me if I went because of their "x weeks, x cm dilated" rule. I also pumped and did a few jumping jacks as a little insurance. Turns out I was in labor on my own anyway.
I hope all of that is a moot point and they get you in soon.
No idea what their policy is. As of Tuesday I was 2cm, and I'm having some contractions (which has been common for me the past many weeks) so I'm planning on telling them I'm coming in anyway even if I need to wait it out...

I'm sorry hopefully they will have some rooms clear up soon.
DD3 is still having issues. We switched her to sensitive formula on Tuesday morning. I know it can take a while for them to adjust, but I feel like not only is she not getting better, but she's getting worse. Now she seems unsettled and hungry all the time. I'm tempted to switch her back to the regular but I don't want to mess up her stomach even more. This is so hard.
gratefulgirl, her pedi said on Tuesday that she will call in a prescription for Zantac if I think she needs it. I think I am going to have her call it in so I have it in case things get worse this weekend.
Both DD1 and DD2 had reflux so it shouldn't be a surprise, I was just hoping she wouldn't have to go through it.

You might give the sensative a few more days and see how it goes. But may also consider going to a non- cows milk based formula. Goats, sheep, or even soy. Cows milk has s protein that a lot of baby's can't handle.
Good morning! We were up a few times last night but then I slept until 8, found dh asleep on the couch with ds2 asleep in the rock n play, and ds1 slept until 8:30. So we're having a lazy morning.
I'm going to head to the store in a bit, potentially by myself! Ds2 has a pretty bad diaper rash and a&d doesn't seem to be working, so I need to pick up some other options. His poor butt is so red, and he's pooping all the time so it's hard to keep it dry.
This afternoon we have newborn photos! We'll also do some with ds1 and family photos. It's a friend from high school so she's coming to our house to do them. We want to do most outside, but it's going to be 93 with high humidity making it feel like 105, so hopefully everyone cooperates and we don't need to be outside for too long!

I have a lot of stitches too - I've been doing the padsicles as mentioned. To heat, I use the peri bottle after the bathroom... Not too hot, but warm/hot water feels pretty good. It doesn't last long though! I also bought this Earth Mama Baby Angel new mama bottom spray on Amazon, and I like it more than the dermaplast.

DD2 ended up on Alimentum (hypoallergenic formula). I was really hoping DD3 would have an easier time! It's hard to know if it's reflux/formula problems. I did call her pedi to try reflux medicine too.
Now we don't actually have baby yet, but we went with a bouncer/swing combo. We did not get the rock n play, but I've heard those with babies that have reflux love it.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
We have both, but I wouldn't say you need both. We started out with just the bouncy seat for ds1. When he decided to stop sleeping, we were at my sister's house and he magically slept in their rock n play. So, we bought one to use at home. Ds2 seems to enjoy both so far. Ds1 was so-so on the swing, and the one time we have tried it with Ds2 he completely freaked out.
