I'm house sitting for my brother. He left food, rotting in the sink, among other disgusting things stinking around his house. He also forgot to fill the stupid bins for his pig, so now I can either lug a 50 lb bag 100 yards, or walk that twice a day to feed the thing.
There's no food in his house, and its a 20 min drive into town for food, and my options are slowly closing. I don't know if I'm hungry or if the queasy feeling is because the house smells like dog piss.
This all sounds awful. I would be so mad!
I would bail on this situation. I would just call him up and tell him to find someone else.
Quinstar Sounds like the last time you will ever housesit for him! So gross and inconsiderate. I always leave beer and baked goods when I have family housesit for us!
renegadewhit I'm pissed. But I went to town for Chinese food, so I'm mildly happier.
sillygirl44, I can't really, because they've got indoor dogs that would end up starving/crapping everywhere if I didn't stay. They tried to find someone to watch the dogs/pig but couldn't. I leave tomorrow afternoon though.
My mom called, asking how it was going and I told her. She had a dozen excuses for him, but this is ridiculous, there is no way he couldn't at least spend 5 minutes getting the pig ready.
A no back booster is cheap though, so they should still have a long life.
I guess I have the rainier after looking it up. She says its kind of a pain to thread the seat belt through and yes the height and weight are met sooner. It's the Pacifica booster that got bad reviews for the seat belt placement.
Man the things we have to check and double check, I'm just glad there's a cpst in town I can go to and double check these things as they come up.
Well we didn't end up telling our friends at the concert last night. She showed up drunk (which is totally fine, they came from a bday party & she's a quiet drunk), it was too loud to really talk, and she was too drunk to notice me not drinking. Then at one point, our husbands were getting beer, she started talking about trying to get pregnant (obv didn't happen this month, month #1) and she said, "I have a bunch of friends trying to get pregnant right now, I just really hope I'm not the only one who doesn't get pregnant." Ugh. They didn't know we were trying, and I know she will be happy for us, but now I just feel bad and am hoping she gets pregnant this cycle so maybe before we hit 2nd trimester and announce to the world.
The concert was fun though! Although 35k+ leaving all at once is a nightmare and I probably won't do that again.
kaits8 sorry about the possible difficult situation telling your friend you're pregnant- I've definitely felt how she's feeling and you want to be sympathetic but can't hide your pregnancy forever. I hope she is able to conceive quickly, though it is normal for it to take up to 12 months! Maybe in your next conversation (if it comes up) you can steer her toward the GKU board
Feeling kind of nauseated this morning, and can't believe my ultrasound is tomorrow afternoon. I have a work party/thing to go to tomorrow night. If we get sad news I may need to find an excuse to bail. I have no reason to think anything is wrong but that's not reassuring.
renegadewhit, 30 minutes doesn't seem TOO far - some people have no choice but to drive 30 minutes to the nearest hospital. I'd say if you love it give it a go, but tour one that is closer to you too that you might need in case of an emergency (though let's pray that doesn't happen!) It can't hurt to look into some closer ones anyway, you may find you like them just as much.

+1 to all of this. My hospital is 30 minutes away and it was fine for my delivery with DS, which was even very quick. But it doesn't hurt to check out options!
So.. I announced to work earlier this week that I"m pregnant.. because I had one day where I was so light headed I had to ask for something to sit on while I did my job. Of course, while I had that 48 hour migraine.. I got a nasty cold and I had to call off again today ~facepalm~ Living on Ricola and hot showers. I get to take my own advice on the honey! lol
On car seats, we have the Diono for the twins. Not the booster, but the car seats. We had to put them facing forward at one year because we couldn't get them both in facing rear. I absolutely love them, tbh. I first started looking at them because they are some of the narrowest ones with good reviews. With twins and two older girls, we had to get them side by side and still be able to pull the seat down for the 12 year old to get in the third row of seating. With a new one on the way, we'll put this one in the middle of the second row, the twins in the back row with their car seats, and a teenager on either side of the tiny one. Wee.. big family fun?
daisylola11 hahaha everytime I wear a romper I forget how weird going to the bathroom is!
@justinslovo oh no! I hope everyone is feeling better soon. Positive vibes your way!
renegadewhit this is part of the reason I'm trying out two OB's. I would in downtown Chicago, and although I live only 24 miles away, it sometimes takes 2.5 hours. It doesn't sound like there are a ton of appointments til the end. I can work out either place once a month. Id go with where you are the most comfortable!
I started having cravings for clean foods. So weird. Lots of fruit, chicken, hard boiled eggs...I've got a health nut in there.
missi and @priss08 we have diono for DD and like it as well -- very slim profile. She's only 3.5 so she won't be ready for a high back booster for a bit. By then, we can purchase one and DS can use it. As long as you're following the RF and FF guidelines and keeping in a 5 point harness, your kids are safe. Of course I would want the safest seat for my child, but I can't fit three across without a slim profile, so I'll put them in the safest seat that fits our car/needs.

I keep craving my pizza but H made a tri tip yesterday and we'll have that all that... I guess. Can't wait till Monday to sneak in my pizza craving lol
For those having twins (or even singles) the carriers that lock in to bases are so worth getting first. I loved them for my singles along with the strollers they lock in to, didn't have to wake them up when we got some place.. and for carrying around twins, egads, the carriers are amazing. No idea what we'll go with this time.. I think I'm just anxious to find out if we are getting our wish.. or more hormones and another adorable little girls to love

You mean you're not sure if you are having twins again? When did you find out you were having twins last time?

OH no no no no no! I mean, a tiny part of me was disappointed.. at 2-1/2 the twins are soo much fun to watch together. I'm still with the same MFM that saved my twins, she does all her own ultrasounds, so her actually exam room is a bed set up next to an ultrasound machine that is attached to her monitor and the tv across from the bed. I get an ultrasound at every visit. Definitely NO twins in there. Sorry for the confusion. I got a horrible head cold with a wonderful sore throat >< so my thinking is even more clogged than normal.
As to when I found out last time, it was at the dating ultrasound at 8 weeks, I think. I need to find one of the first pictures because it is the reason I still think they are identical. They were di/di, but their sacks literally looked like an oval with a thick line through the middle.
I have my hospital tour today! It's super early, but I know nothing about the hospitals here, and the one my OB's office uses - this one that I'm touring today - will not be super convenient in March (it's 10 blocks from my current temp housing, but it will be half an hour away from work and home after September)
WWM17D? I really like my new doctors office, but I'm concerned with how inconvenient appointments and del Very will be with the hospital being so far away. There are good hospitals near my work. This hospital has a great reputation though. I'm so conflicted!
My hospital is 30 minutes away. I think it's fine. It was fine for me last time. I mean it sucked in the moment but if you love it then it should be fine!
