My friend is notorious for being late. Super late.
She texted me 45 mins ago that she was "on my way". She lives 10 mins from me. I ended up making a smoothie because even though we were supposed to grab breakfast I started to feel nauseated. Pregnancy + empty stomach = newp.
I come from a long line of very tall people, like, over six and a half feet kind of tall. My DH is also tall so naturally our DS is extremely tall. He's the hight of a four or five year old per his pediatrician and he just turned 2 in late April.
Well, while grocery shopping I heard a lady trying to talk to him and ask him what he was doing out of school so early. I laughed and told her how old he was and she's was totally flabbergasted. She even turned to the woman behind her and said, "Can you believe he's only two!?"
I'm currently getting ready b/c when DD wakes up and we have lunch, we are dropping her off with my parents for the night and heading to Boston for a concert! I am SO excited for a childless night, even if we are sleeping at home. Getting to wake up without having to rush to entertain a toddler will be glorious.
I'm also telling the friends we're going with tonight that we're expecting again. I know they'll be excited, but they started TTC last month and I feel bad that we're pregnant now and they're not yet (I don't think...although the tiniest part of me is hoping she's going to say they're pregnant too). She has some underlying health issues that might make it hard to get pregnant, so I wish we could hide it longer, but she notices everything (she's a nurse) and will absolutely catch on tonight, if she hasn't already. We have another set of friends who recently told us they're pregnant w/ #1, 3 weeks ahead of me. We haven't told them our news yet, just b/c we wanted to wait a bit longer. I'm excited to have at least 1 friend to go through this pregnancy with, though!

That hunger-nausea is serious. I am like constantly eating snacks now to avoid it.

Ugh, that's the worst. Does she know you're pregnant and/or does she have kids? No one messes with pregnancy hunger/nausea. My DH woke up this morning and I (who had been up & fighting the same feeling for an hour already) said, "I will pay you if you go to Dunkins right now for me". Well, 20 mins later he's still sitting around, and I start dry heaving. He says, "do you need food?"........."yes, yes darling, I do. That is why I asked you 20 minutes ago. Now freaking GO please." Then he was taking his time brushing his teeth, shaving, doing who knows what else (to go to a drive thru) and I had to say (between gags) "can you hurry up please!?". Men. Hmph.
I'm happy to report I got my daily bagel and coffee
I was feeling pretty good today until I tried to drink coffee (which smelled awful to me, don't know why I did that) and now I am nauseous again.
I spent all last year studying in the library and now I don't ever want to leave home. I need to get a desk and set up an area in my bedroom... I see a lot of staying home in my future. My wife took both girls out to play at the little playplace in the mall and they are having a blast while I should be learning how eyesight works at the moment instead of being on TCF. I also took a nice long shower so I am super productive today.

@priss08. The correct answer is "none of your business " What carseat do you use for your super tall kid? Just curious, we have a shorty--21% for height and 7% for weight.

I don't remember the exact model but it took a lot of searching to find one. He can't really rear face anymore, they just don't make seats long enough, but he is still in a five point.
I could be wrong about the rear facing thing. But, he's 41 inches tall and almost all of them say the only rear face till 40 inches.

I spent all day volunteering at a softball tournament. It's a fundraiser benefiting a friend's mom. I am soooo tired. I did come home to birthday flowers and cake. I knew about the cake but the flowers are a surprise.

@priss08 omg he's tall! lol my just turned 2 year old was 35in and 80th percentile.
You made me curious and I looked up my car seats height range, rear faced it's 44in or 1.5in from top of car seat. Also realized I'll have to switch from latch to seatbelt since he's close to 35lbs!! I need to remember to check back to keep it updated, kids growing fast!
We went out and bought a new mattress today. We got a sleep number! It was super comfy, but a little more money than I realized. Oh well- it has a 25 year warranty.

I'm dying to get a new mattress!! Maybe once I have a bigger belly I can really milk it lol we've already decided on a tuft and needle too

I need that seat!
Even though, it's hard for us to have him behind the seats now because we're also really tall and it keeps us from driving comfortably. :/

I let the cat out of the bag at the softball tournament. I was all set with a lie and then an old family friend asked me why I wasn't playing and I froze. Whoops.
That group isn't a bunch of gossipers so I'm hoping the news won't spread too quickly before we announce.
Also, we invited our moms over for birthday cake. Dh fell asleep immediately after eating cake. And he works tomorrow, which is my actual birthday, so I was kind of hoping for a little more attention than that tonight.

It's the diono radian, I got the wedge ($10) and it gives us more room! I love it!!! Best baby purchase as I never will have to buy him a seat again
I'm house sitting for my brother. He left food, rotting in the sink, among other disgusting things stinking around his house. He also forgot to fill the stupid bins for his pig, so now I can either lug a 50 lb bag 100 yards, or walk that twice a day to feed the thing.
There's no food in his house, and its a 20 min drive into town for food, and my options are slowly closing. I don't know if I'm hungry or if the queasy feeling is because the house smells like dog piss.
