So ready for DS to do longer stretches in his crib. He's at least in there to start the night, but never past midnight. I know it could be worse but I want to sleep without a child on me all night.

Might as well check in here, I have a feeling tonight is going to be awful. DS has hardly napped since 6pm (it's nearly 11 here). We've fed, swaddled, held & rocked him to sleep 4 times now only to have him wake up crying a few minutes later. I'm wondering if he's still feeling off from his vaccines yesterday morning and thinking maybe we should give him some infant Tylenol? He had some yesterday and last night, and seems fine other than extra fussiness... I just don't know.

We are at this point as well. DD hasn't slept in many, many hours and we are nearing midnight. I'm hoping this means we are both in for some long stretches of sleep!

Nursed him for 30 min, he was pretty much asleep by the end. Held him upright on my chest for a few minutes and then he started fussing. DH took him and he immediately began screaming. DH decided now was a good time to change him, so I'm guessing f that the only thing that will console him now is nursing. Again.
When every need is met and he's still crying and refusing to sleep I just do not know what to do and want to pull my hair out.

Looks like we're doing stretches of 3 hrs tonight with B waking in between. DH told her he was going to go lay with her (I've been doing it). So much sobbing. I wish she would just sleep.

Ugh, baby girl did give me a good stretch but of course I barely slept. MH did a guys night tonight so I'm here alone which I always hate. I got her to sleep around 12:30 then woke up at 3:45. Since I was awake I figured I'd pump since my boobs were super full. Then went back to sleep and she woke at 6:30. She's such a noisy sleeper I was awake more than half the time she slept. Hopefully I can get some naps in today.

DD3 has dropped from a 6-7 hour first stretch to 4. Why? Pacifier (she decided to love it even more after rejecting it earlier this week)? Overtired because she gets junk naps due to big sisters' schedules? Hungry? I am mystified.

I hear you on that last part. I hate feeling like a human mild maid pacifier! It drives me nuts. Then mommy guilt kicks in just for fun.

bocaburger - ugh, that happens to me too and I HATE it.
I'm so frustrated, we're on our 2nd wakeup already, at 2am. Went to bed at 9:30 and DS woke up at midnight; put him back down at 12:30 and he woke up just now. FTR last week I was getting a 4 hour stretch to start the night, and now we're at less than 3. I'm resenting DH so much right now because he gets to go right back to sleep.

4 hours in the RNP!! This is the longest stretch of sleep I've (we've) gotten without him on me!! I've given up on crib at night..at least until reflux is less.
My child has been asleep since 11pm!! So I'm up pumping since my boobs are exploding. We shall see how much longer she decided to sleep for.
Enjoy it! Ever since I posted in here that I was getting up at 3 to pump because my daughter was now sleeping until later she decided to start getting up at 3 to eat again

My LO goes in crib for the first stretch then after the MOTN feed (3am or later) she goes in RNP next to the bed the rest of the night. We used to sit around 30+ min holding her upright after a feed. Then we had to get more efficient

I think I'm going to try this. My LO has been sleeping almost exclusively in the RnP for the past few weeks, but we're trying to transition him back to the crib. If I can start bedtime early enough, I should just put him down in the crib because even if he doesn't stay asleep long at all, it's still early enough that it won't ruin my night.
It's 3:20 and it's the first MOTN wake up!!! Wheeeeeee!!!! This has never happened before!!!!
We had the same thing happen. It was 3 the night before (but before that never later than 2:00). So I'm hoping he'll be going later and later. He did start to eat every 2 hours during the day..which I'll take if it means more nighttime sleep!

Umm, my child slept from 12pm until 7am.... what?! So I'll just have to accept that she's a bit of a night owl right now and hope the time moves earlier eventually

She'll start to move it earlier, especially as she gets more active and awake during the day.
