DH did all of last nights wakeups (2). I woke up once to pump and then pumped again this morning.
While I'm grateful for the sleep DH is such a horrific grumpy mess it makes me want to refuse any additional offers to help in the future: 😕 Come on dude it wasn't even a bad night comparatively speaking...
Also for those of you who like shutter fly there is a code for a free photo book on their fb, but it expires in two days. I'm wondering if I should give it a shot.

I've wanted to make a book of my weekly bump pictures.. Maybe I'll try it out! I just haven't really sat down to do it yet. And I'm trying to decide if I want to wait until H is a year old and put all of his monthly pics along with it.
Hiiiii! Lol i went MIA, but I will do my best to catch up. I am drowning between family, baby, work. DHs classes started up again and that leaves me solo, just can't keep up.
Hope everyone is hanging in there!!
P.s. If I missed any major developments please clue me in!

We are leaving in a few hours to go on a road trip. It takes about 6 hours without stops. I am nervous about taking a baby on such a long trip. We are driving through the night on the way back to hopefully make it easier on him but this afternoon is another story.

We will be doing a 6 hour trip in November for SILs wedding. Not looking forward to the drive.

What do you think?
I made a pregnancy specific book with bump pics and maternity photos and ultrasounds.

We got our Thanksgiving trip all scheduled and we're flying into Chicago instead of Indy, so after a 5 hour plane ride there will be a 4 hour car trip. Not looking forward to it. But it will be nice to finally meet all the nieces and nephews! I just have to keep reminding myself of the good things because I'm already freaking out about the trip. Lol

How long do your babies stay up between naps? I feel like I can never leave and get things done without messing up her nap schedule. She's only staying up about an hour or maybe a little more between naps/feedings.

Ugh. MH and I really got into it this morning and he said a few hurtful things I can't quite shake. I hate having to sit through a day of work feeling like this.

@led I always struggle with when the best time to leave the house is! On one hand traveling during nap might mean easy sleepy travel, or it could royally screw up sleep haha. Who knows?! Yesterday I left the house right after a nap, feeding & changing so there would be no immediate needs. It went okay.
Clearly I have solids on the brain. Here's where I'm at...
At first I didn't want a high chair at all. The Montessori way would be a weaning table which is just a tiny child size table and chair that allows him the independence to get in/out by his own will. I get that, (and I have that for DC where everything is child size), but on the other hand he wouldn't very much be part of family meals at his own little table. A high chair would allow him to see the goings on, participate in conversation and see a model of eating but a traditional high chair doesn't allow that independence n
Is there such thing as a happy medium? A high chair he could eventually get in and out of independently? A step stool up to a booster style seat? We could all do a family floor table like Japanese tea style, but that's not our culture so not sure that's a relevant solution. Could also just rely on baby sign language so he still gets to choose when he gets in and out but I don't prefer that idea since I'm committed to the Montessori independence.
What do you have for high chairs? Have you seen anything that may be what I'm looking for?
JK. I found what I was looking for high chair-wise via this blog: www.howwemontessori.com/how-we-montessori/weaning/ you can still TTMA high chairs though. It never hurts to see more ideas and learn more perspectives! 😁

This is what I ended up doing today. Got home just as she was getting fussy. She ended up falling asleep in the wrap about 5 minutes from home so perfect timing for me to get her home and feed her.
I also have up on nursing bras today. I just wore a regular one and figured I'd just pull it down if needed. Works well enough and my boobs get the support they so desperately need.

OH MY GOSH THIS IS MY LIFE. I just get up with B in the middle of the night. It's better than listening to DH complain the following day.
