Well DS screamed for almost an hour between checks for his nap. I thought things were supposed to get better after a couple days. 😩
The only changes are h is home and I out that baby Einstein soothing aquarium in his crib. He actually did seem to like it in between crying 😩
Naps were so hard to train for with DS 1:( I hope it gets better quickly!
Thanks! I think I got spoiled because the first day he fell asleep in five minutes, the next day was worse, and today was even worse. But im going to stick with it.
I told h DS is sort of forcing my hand anyway. When he literally won't nap on me and the rnp isn't a safe option... Well he needs sleep lol
teraiin could the baby Einstein thing be too stimulating?
It does make me wonder if I should have just stuck with a standard noise machine. Since I know he likes running water. the baby Einstein one just had so many good reviews haha
Funny. Baby I has had a late bedtime this week - about 10 which is a little too late for me. Tonight he falls asleep at 8 -and I'm still awake 3 hours later. What am I doing?!
Sort of regretting staying up for a few hours of grownup time. I wish I had it in me but I just need all the sleep I can get. A life with no coffee... I can see the appeal.

He may like it once he gets a bit older. Ds1 had one from 7-8 months until it died.

I haven't seen the Einstein one but I feel like white noise would be easier to fade off later if you wanted. You can just keep turning the volume down until it's off. However, I still sleep with my fan and DD will sleep with hers for life so maybe I'm the wrong person to comment here. 😜

We do white noise and have one of the baby Einstein things... the more noise the better he sleeps lol and the Einstein thing shuts itself off after a while

Yeah, since it gradually dims and quiets itself over time I figured it would ease him to sleep. Oh well I just need to decide if I want to try it again, wait until he's older or try just a sound machine. Hmmm

Does yours have the sound of running water (like a shower)?
DS did pretty good the first two days when I had a YouTube video of showers running hahaha
teraiin - I have an "adult" Homedics sound machine that I had bought for myself that I now use for DS. It's like $20 at BedBathB. Minus your coupon I mostly use the white noise and sometimes the ocean sound, but it also has rain. That could be similar to the shower.
Ok, I know I'm new here and all, and haven't shared all the struggle thus far (I swear! There has been struggle!) so don't hate me....
But after four or five nights with lots of oddly intense wakeups, DS slept for 12 HOURS last night
Naturally, I stayed up too late anticipating that he would be up "any moment", and then I woke every hour from 4am checking the monitor! So I may have somehow gotten less sleep! Haha!

She loves the sound of water. My sound machine has rain and ocean as an option and they work great too.

Went to a hockey game this afternoon. Is napped through the 2nd period but is now refusing her evening/last nap. I'm also worried about daylight savings next weekend. I don't want to wake an hour earlier.

Oh jeez I never even thought of daylight saving time...

I know, right?! If we're on the same schedule that means she'll be asleep by the time DW is home for work and we'll be up at 5! There's no way I'll be able to go to sleep at 5:45 to make up for that nonsense... here's hoping it works itself out.
