I know this thread may be controversial, but I'll be honest, our daily random thread is chalk full of sleep posts. We all have babies, so we are all getting variable amounts of shit or great sleep. It's not a random thing. It's a fact.
flame me, but it's getting kind of monotonous to come here to just read about sleep.
So here is a thread for SLEEP.
Questions about sleep, venting about sleep, ranting about sleep, and maybe even sleep victories.
And I'll start.
We had months of shitty sleep and with weight gain issues, we couldn't do much about it. So I started supplementing with pumped milk and formula and got baby to plump up with some assistance of the wonderful white powder that is Allimentum (thanks MSPI). Allimentum is actually super gross and I'm glad we only need about 6-8oz day.
We started sleep training about 10 days ago, maybe 11, and we are now getting solid sleep from 6:30pm to 4/5am. Still have one wake up around midnight in which he just needs a pacifier. Then I nurse at 4/5am and he sleeps until 7am.
I feel like a new woman, but we still have some work to do!
We are also enforcing a nap schedule, including weekends (for the most part). It has really helped. Our only sleep crutch is a pacifier and noise machine (or bathroom fan since he naps in the bathroom due to space limitations).
