I have also been thinking about DST and wondering how that will work! Did you have to slowly adjust bedtime/wake time back an hour?
Up until just recently ds1's bedtime has been all over the place so it was easy to move his bedtime back and wake up time usually followed on its own. But now that he's gotten used to waking up while it's still dark out I'm afraid he's going to want to wake up early. Ds2 is easy, he's a 12 hour a night kind of kid so as long as we can make it to bedtime(later naps, maybe a cat nap in the evening) we should have no problems.

Well Damian hasn't thrown a fit for the last three nights in a row. In fact he has been content to just stay on his back or side and not complete the roll. I think now that he knows he can roll over in bed he doesn't feel the need to anymore. So he is getting moved back into the nursery tonight.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
Add me to the list of worried about changing the clocks. DS turns into a pumpkin if he's not being put to bed by like 6:30pm. He wakes up for the day around 5-5:30, sometimes before 5 which just hurts. I cannot get up for the day at 330am. OMG.
He still wakes up at night. Some nights are totally fine - occasionally he will wake up once to nurse and go back to sleep, and that works great. More often he'll do that and then wake up 1-2 more times. Sometimes he wakes up allllll the time. And now he has a snotty nose so I had to use the nose frida like every hour last night bc he woke up and couldn't breathe and was coughing/gagging. Poor little guy.

Fx the transition back goes well and you guys can all sleep! 😄
RE: messing around with bedtimes in anticipation of the change..
I never saw the point. You either struggle with it before, or you struggle with it at the real time. If you're going to struggle, you're going to struggle.
2 hours of sleep then 4 hours of sleep. Cool. Because that's all I need to deal with sugar hyped kids that were up way past their bedtimes last night all day today. Ugh. I'm already in a bad mood. And want to cry. And my head hurts. Send coffee.
Is there a 6 month sleep regression? DD had been napping well most days and sleeping until 4:30/5 before nursing. She even STTN 2 days last week. Now, her naps are barely existent and she's been waking up earlier and earlier-3:30, then 2:45, and now 1:50 today. She won't go back down without nursing. I'm really hoping this is a regression and not something else.
I don't know but I do know often regressions come with leaps. Cam is so close to crawling he won't nap- he just practices crawling instead. And then he's a hot mess and won't sleep at night. Unless I'm holding him. Which doesn't happen because he won't settle for coming to bed with me. I have to be sitting up holding him. And no one else can do it. Just me. 😒

So we didn't really go through the 4 month regression but for the past two nights lo has been waking up and crying to be held. He has always been an independent sleeper. It's been about 2 hours after his bottle so he's not hungry. Both times I've let him CIO because he wakes up once I put him back in the crib after rocking him. He cries for only a couple minutes but it's a weird yell cry. Like he's yelling for us. He's also starting to nap longer. I hope it's all related and he's starting to learn to self sooth.
I am wondering if I need to try to up his bottles at DC with the hope of getting him to sleep longer stretches at night.. we send him 16 oz and he usually drinks 12-16 oz. It's rare for him to NOT finish a bottle, but depending on nap schedules, he may not get to the 4th bottle.
We're still having two consistent wake ups per night, and the kid is actively eating for 4-5 minutes, not just comfort nursing. So I'm wondering if shifting that volume to the daytime would help.
AND wondering if I do that, if my daytime output would increase enough to consistently cover 18-20 oz a day.
aaemommy, I think I'll give it a go. It will mean pulling from frozen (which I hate) because I definitely only pumped enough to cover 16 oz tomorrow.
I also worry that DC will get used to the idea of 5 oz bottles, and if I can't pump enough to cover them, I don't want to feel like I have to send them on a regular basis.
k3am, you might find that if he gets bigger bottles and sleeps better at night, you will pump a bit more in your first morning pump and it may make up the difference. I also found that LO started stleeping better with a "every 2hr" evening feeds. 2, 4, 6 or 3, 5, 6:30pm. The clustering has given me one much longer stretch!

Well it seems like lo is starting to transition to one bottle a night. Usually right in the middle of the night, 6 hours after he goes to bed. I was still up every 2 hours last night because ds1 had a bad dream and lo lost his pacifier.

What babycaps said. Take the last 2 days for example. Monday night Cam was up twice, plus wouldn't settle in his crib after his 4am wake up so I tried to nurse him to sleep 4 times before he finally state asleep in his crib. My pump output was much lower. In fact, I had to pump an extra time at work plus a few ounces before bed to have enough to cover his 20oz today. But last night he slept much better and just with the morning pump I've covered 2 of his 5 bottles. Also, once Cam started sleeping a longer stretch at night I started pumping right before bed. It's annoying and I hate it, but I think it's kept my supply going much stronger because I'm not going for the 6-8 hours that Cam is sleeping so there's no signal to my body to lower production. Usually it's extra and I'm able to freeze it so there's another plus to it! And I don't do a "full" session, just 5 minutes or so- basically just through the initial letdown. I don't have to worry about leaks/ discomfort if Cam sleeps an extra long stretch this way either! 😊 I hope this helps. I feel like I'm rambling lol
k3am, aaemommy, +1 on the pumping before I go to bed. It's essential that I do that and I do it for a full 30min That 30min gives me 100ml (3ish Oz) and I need it so that it's 3 less oz of formula the next day.
I'll say one thing for the fever.. DS went down a little before 6pm last night and woke up for the day at 6:30am this morning. I barely got to see him at all, but it was nice not to have to deal with him while getting ready for work.
W was sick last week, so it was a total free-for-all. He slept in our arms most nights last week because he was so sad and congested. Now he won't sleep in his crib AND he figured out how to roll in the Merlin suit so we can't use it anymore.
I'm looking at CIO, right? He goes down at 7:30ish and has been waking at 9, 11, 2, and 4 for the past 5 days. 😢 Sometimes he will stay in his crib until the 2 AM wake up, but refuses to be anywhere but with me after that. Before he got sick he was down to one wake up at 4. We have never done any CIO. I'm not sure I can do an hour. Any tips, ideas?
