My unicorn STTN baby has seriously regressed with teething. I put her down at 8 and she was up and screaming at 9, 10:30, 11:30, 1, and 2:30. At that point I gave her a dose of Tylenol and she slept until I got her up at 6:45. Those teeth must really hurt Tonight I think we'll go preventative and give the Tylenol at bedtime.
Update on my CIO saga ... my goal is to cut out one of his night time feedings so last night he woke up at 11 and cried for 1 hr 15 min.... friends let me tell you this CIO is not for the weak- it was the hardest thing ever 😭 but I knew he was not hungry and if I went in there he would just want to nurse! Finally at 1215 we have him his paci again and rocked him for 5 min and he was out and then only woke up at 330! - we shall see how tonight goes. Has anyone else done the CIO method ?
We have had a few nights now with only one 3am wake up. At first I thought it might be the meds knocking him out but he's kept it up and has been med free for two more nights. Let's hope this season is good and long 🙏🏼
I've asked this before and I'm asking it again just in case someone who has an answer didn't see me ask this before. 😜
When DS wakes up 95% of the time he wakes up screaming.
Is there anything I can do about it? It sort of makes it hard for him to even have a shot at self soothing himself back to sleep when he wakes purple screaming.

I wouldn't use CIO to cut out a feeding. He's waking up and it truly hungry since he's used to eating during the night. I would use night weaning to get rid of that feed. I use CIO (if needed) at naps and bedtime. I'm currently night weaning. Once she's weaned, I will use CIO for any night waking a.
Well the reason that I decided to try this is because in the morning he takes a 2-3 hour nap right in the middle of a feeding time and goes 5-6 between eating. Also right before he goes to bed he eats solids and nurses both sides. I don't think that he is truly hungry but only waking up out of habit

Can you send your H in to try to rock him to sleep? When I was night weaning ds1 I tried to just rock him back to sleep without nursing(at this point he was only nursing for a few minutes just to put himself to sleep). It worked well for us and once he realized he wasn't going to get to nurse he stopped waking. He was a few months older than Ryker.

We did try for him to rock but he cries even harder when he tries too ... he is only nursing for about 5 min when he wakes up to eat.

I always leave DD for 15 mins to work it out herself. She almost always goes back to sleep. If she's crying, it means she isn't ready to wake yet. When she has had enough sleep, she always wakes up so happy so it's a clear difference for us!

Does your DD wake up hysterical crying? This is like mega purple scream crying so hard he chokes. 😢

I'm sorry, that's rough. You can try to wean him down by the minute if it's easier for you. For a few days let him nurse for only 4 minutes, and then 3, 2, 1 until you just rock him.

No, never that bad. I'm sorry. That has to be hard!

My hope is the aquarium the 5% of the time he doesn't wake hysterical he hits that and goes back to sleep. I'm hoping he gradually does that more... I hope
