In addition to not taking the bottle, he won't let anyone but me hold him, wants to be held constantly, and is super fussy. He's been drooling and chomping on his hand a lot so DH swears he's teething.

This age is a disaster for babies, I swear. Huge developmental changes, sleep cycle changes, nap transitions, 4 month sleep regression, and on it goes. Someone wake me in late January, please?

Isn't it awful that this all happens when many moms are just going back to work?!

I'll commiserate. Our amazing sleeper is now getting up at all hours of the night and having trouble napping. I just upped the number of ounces he was taking because he seemed hungrier, so I hope that has some affect. Ds1 went through this at this time and didn't sleep through the night (or really, didn't sleep for more than 45 min stretches on people at all hours of the day or night) again until we sleep trained at 6 months. So I am hoping this is not like that.
I scheduled a follow up with his usual pedi this Friday to just discuss the plagiocephaly and torticollis that the other doctor diagnosed last week . I am now super paranoid about which direction he is turning and making sure he looks the other way. And he napped so well in the rock n play, but I can't use it anymore so that stinks.
I also feel awful because I can't believe I never noticed how he always defaults to turning his head in the one direction. I previously saw it in the carseat and swing, but now it seems so obvious whenever he is playing.

Ha! You want to get that long of a stretch of sleep?! You greedy bitch!!

redhead610 please don't feel bad you didn't notice. We parents have so much that we are supposed to be simultaneously holding in our heads - when did all my kids last eat? Get a diaper change/use the potty? What do we need to do today for the house? Any appointments? Anyone need to go to school/get picked up? Work responsibilities? What are we eating next? Who needs to sleep when? Do I have a spare minute to squeeze in actual playing with my child? Why is my kid crying? How do I simultaneously soothe multiple screaming children? It's a wonder the modern parent manages coherent sentences (I usually don't, in case you all haven't noticed), much less noticing all these things while multitasking on keeping everyone alive.

This is all my child has been doing for like a week. It's sad when I'm excited over 4.5 hrs. Of course this all happens right before my going back to work tomorrow. I see coffee in my future.

DH decided he wants to get the girls bunnies for Christmas. Bunnies. He's been talking about getting them bunnies for years now. I had a chinchilla for almost 10 years and when she died I was devastated and said no more pets ever.
Then he took me to look at bunnies and I'm like damn you i need them all right now.

There's no way right?!! I'm not ready yet
My other 2 started drooling and hand chomping at 3.5-4 months but don't cut a tooth until 5 months. So IDK. DD has started drooling and hand-chomping at 3 months but I think it might just be Freud's oral phase

This morning G was fussing in her bassinet and somehow managed to turn onto her belly. H is convinced it was a fluke but I no longer feel safe swaddling her.
She's already on her first wakeup. Send sleepy dust!

steph bunnies are cute, but they die so easily. We had three bunnies last year and I like to say we are pretty responsible (my dog lived to 14 years, 7 months), but 2 of them died. It was likely from GI blockage, which is hard to detect and fatal really quickly. Also, DD definitely for a couple poop pellets in her mouth when she grabbed for them. Otherwise, they are pretty fun if you are able to get them to stay alive...evolution was not very kind to the individual bunny, just to the species as a whole.
Ugh I work tomorrow for my first Monday back to work and DS decides to only do a 5 hour stretch that started at 7 pm the and then a 2.5 hour stretch. So that means we I've only gotten 2 hour blocks of sleep. And this part of the night is never another long stretch. I'm going to be tired tomorrow...

R makes a sucking noise often when he's sleeping...it drives me a little crazy because then I'm not sure if he's hungry or what's going on. Do any of your babies do this? I can't find much good information from google on this.

Thanks! And maybe it's how he self soothes since I assume he doesn't take a pacifier.
shanny that's what I'm afraid of. Not only could I not handle it dying, but B would be a hot mess. I mean she cried for more than an hour when I told her the fish would die one day. It finally did die but we have a replacement on hand. Not sure how that would work w a bunny.

Yup, she only went back to sleep for an hour after I posted. So I'm headed to work on 5 hours of broken up sleep. Should be interesting. I'm also crying. Thank goodness for waterproof mascara

I am so sick. Not the cold that I mentioned before - food poisoning. I was up puking my guts out all night. My sister was visiting and she got it too. This is so hard, I can't take care of my little one. DH had to do all of the MOTN wake ups. Thank goodness I have a partner who will do that.

Of course my pump would decide to start dying on my first day back at work. I have a medela and it's loosing suction/sounds crazy when it goes into pumping mode. Sounds fine in key down mode. Ugh.
Also I've cried 3 times already today. It's going to be a long day
