Ds2 is on similac sensitive, but we usually get Target's brand. We had a coupon for the walmart brand of, so we tried it. The past 2 days have led to epic levels of spit up. Like, entire volumes of bottles being hurled up on us. The amount of laundry this child has created in 2 days is insane. I'm thinking not all generics are the same...
This may be the strangest thing I've ever said -- but I feel like I need a primer book on penises. Bodies are weird.
A couple months ago ds1 (3) was in the bathroom and fell and hurt his. It got a bit red. He was crying so much and I ended up calling dh because I was like "I don't have one I don't know what to do!!"

If you find one please let me know. My mom and stepdad are surely tired of the million penis questions I ask everyday. They have 4 sons between the 2 of them, so I assume they've already encountered the whole spectrum of penile inquiries.

Hahahaha. I'm sure if I googled I'd just find a bunch of porn :/
I ask my husband a penis question every day lately. I feel like it's just going to get worse as my baby gets older!

Awww poor guy. And poor you too. It's so weird to me how the formulas are so different to be so highly regulated by the FDA. I would think it should be pretty similar across the board but that's clearly not the case.

Thank you to whomever posted the custom board books in the gift ideas thread. DH wrote the girls stories before DD1 was born and the cheap photo book I printed them on was falling apart. I just ordered them in a board book for DD3. Perfect present.
bocaburger - I am so sorry. I know the feeling of fear that you are suddenly just going to fall over while parenting. I get pretty dizzy sometimes if I stand up too fast these days. So far I have yet to totally give out. I agree with the others - if the babies are in a safe place and you've done what you can, you've done what you can.
On Friday at the end of the workday I was suddenly soo dizzy and nauseous. It kept getting worse on the drive home etc. once I got home, I wasn't safe to hold the baby, I could hardly walk, I couldn't focus on anything (thankfully H was there). Everything was blurry, I couldn't read text. It was kind of scary and I was starting to be pretty concerned something serious was going on since it wasn't related to my blood sugar level. Turns out it was "Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo or BPPV" I've never had before or even heard of it but it freaked me out. Apparently it can be caused by sleep deprivation
Its so comforting to come back here after a few weeks and see that I am not even close to the only one feeling my feels and having my problems.
I hate being a light sleeper. I haven't gotten remotely unbroken or even enough sleep in over 2 weeks. Saturday I freaked out on my kids the minute DD1 woke up for the day. I was SO tired, I was in tears and borderline hysterical that another night had passed with me basically awake 80% of it. I woke up SO and told him in very basic language that he WAS getting up, he WOULD be watching the girls, and he WOULD keep DD1 happy and out of trouble because he would actually be awake and not dozing on the couch. I made sure DD2 was topped up on eating, DD1 had clean clothes, both had a clean diaper, then I went back to bed. ALONE. I got 3 hours out of it until SO brought DD2 in, claiming she needed me.
The crappy thing is... I was so far into sleep debt, that 3 hours barely made a dent. I tried it again this morning... didn't even make an hour before I gave up due to everyone basically melting down in the living room. And then SO went back to bed til 2 fricking pm.
However, I have told him that he will be choosing one day a week where I will be the one sleeping in, no ifs ands or buts. I can't function like this anymore, and by god, he will learn to take care of the basics for the girls for a few hours.
I don't remember him being such a selfish sleeper when DD1 was smaller. But then, I could nap with her, where I can't with DD2 since DD1 is old enough to go without naps now.
Tell me we all will survive this?
At least DD1 and DD2 are inseperable. Dd1 has loved on baby sister HARDCORE since the moment she first saw her. Now, baby sister is aware enough that she for sure knows who big sister is, and if she can hear her or see her, then there is a great big gummy grin. It makes me so happy to see their sister bond so strong already. I hope it stays strong forever!
EllieT, this is gonna sound- graphic? at first I was totally missing spots where there was poop because I didn't realize there was space underneath between balls and other skin. Gotta like move stuff around and stuff. I guess I was so used to having a girl, I didn't know I had to like flop things around Hahahaha.
I have a boy and now I'm sort of confused. Am I doing something wrong because I can't think of a reason why DS penis would be an issue. Am I supposed to do something weird about it? Like I wipe it when I clean his bum but that's it
I'm here too. I'm confused that maybe I'm missing something.

Cleaning a girl is so much easier than a boy. It's everywhere with a boy.

My MIL had said multiple times "cleaning a boy is so much easier". I'm with you, the girl was easier for me. I thought maybe this kid just pooped so much more though. I emailed my DH asking how so much poop can possibly come out of such a tiny human a few hours ago Hahahah
Old women it's harder (also work in hospital with old people).
My girls are clearly doing it wrong. Not a straight wipe here.
I'm with you. My girl gets it in all the places and you have to very carefully wipe her. For whatever reason she often has all of her poop go forward in the diaper so it's all up in there.

I'm making these for part of the grandparents' Christmas gifts, and one for us with DS's handprint. This is the first one and I'm excited that it turned out well. I can't wait to give them to the grandparents.
