Caffeine is the only thing keeping me going today. Af showed up today so I feel like shit. Lo's sleep has gone off the rails this past week too. Fighting nap (he's currently jumping in his crib) so he's a crabby mess during the day and then waking up crying at night.
We did get some errands done and stopped at the library. I treated myself to some Starbucks while we were out.

Started a new round of the 21DF today. So making a grocery list and grocery shopping are on the agenda for today. It's weird being home with Em after being at clinicals all week. We're currently outside blowing bubbles lol.

B woke up with a stuffy nose but has been fine otherwise. We got his haircut this morning, made it to story time at the library then at 6:15 (ugh) we are getting his flu shot. (So late!) Hope it doesn't mess up his bedtime or sleep tonight!
Hola ladies. Today has been nice. Just DH & myself with the kids. Alex has been sleeping well and didn't cluster feed as much last night. So I got some good naps too. Dh returns to work tomorrow...I'll miss him. Leo is still under the weather. He'll have to stay home with me
I should get a plan together re: christmas. Maybe by this weekend.

Trying to get myself together for the next week and a half to wrap up the semester. Test on Wednesday, lots of catch up reading and an online test this weekend, and one final next week. So. Not. Motivated. Monday AW from polar express this weekend! He loved dancing with all the big kids
ourcrazynavylife hope you had fun at home with Em! reginaphalange3 lo wasn't phased by his flu shot at all. Hope it's the same for B! littlelion glad you got a nice relaxing day! laceysbryan at least the end of the semester is in sight!
Lo finally took a solid nap today. I went on a caffeine fueled cleaning spree so the house at least looks decent. I'm so ready to crash.
I was double fisting lattes today and am still wiped! Tried to cram all the Christmas decorating into my one day off this week but was foiled by a vomiting kid with a fever (youngest boy). LO took a good nap but I couldn't get much done between holding his head while he puked and scrubbing the toilet.
3 more days of clinical, a final, and I'm done for the semester!! I will worry about the rest later.
Me: "I'm going to go through these notes once before bed."
*Immediately gets on TCF*
I'm totally procrastinating putting my presentation for tomorrow. I just want to sleep but I know if I don't do it then it'll turn out shitty if I do it tomorrow while trying to wrangle the toddler monster.
So tired. Lo fought nap all afternoon yesterday and slept like crap last night. He keeps putting his fingers in his mouth so I suspect molars are to blame, plus general toddler willfullness. Yesterday I took all his stuffed animals out of his crib because he would NOT stop playing.... the joke was on me though, because he just used all that extra space in his crib as a stage for dancing and bellowing "JINGLE BALLS" at the top of his lungs.
Should we just move to one monthly random thread? Our poor little board is so slow these days. What do you guys think?
I think weekly makes sense. A monthly one might get weird if the conversation changes but someone coming in late wants to chime in on an earlier topic.
I realize I am one of the worst culprits as far as sporadic posting though, so my vote should count for less.
ashlantic I am cracking up at him bellowing Jingle Bells! That is so adorable! These toddlers sure have big senses of humor.
GL to all the mamas with finals coming up. Idk how you do it. I feel like my brain is at capacity with this mom thing.
Currently I'm relaxing under a sleeping baby. She had to see an audiologist yesterday because she didn't pass her initial hearing screen in the hospital. Her results are normal!! But the test was tough on her and I still feel guilty. She had a really good night but I still just feel like giving her extra snuggles today.
At some point I do need to put her down so I can get on my laptop and finish up our calendar gifts (they take forever to make!) and order the last couple gifts from LL Bean for H's brother and my mom. But not yet

+1 on weekly thread.
Sorry I haven't been posting as much. My bday was yesterday, but we didn't do much just ate dinner at home and had ice cream. DH gave me a sweet written card and the movie Elf since I lost my last copy a couple moves ago.
My marathon is this weekend on Sunday so I'm getting excited/nervous. DH is going out of town tomorrow but is coming back early Saturday morning. Solo parenting is hard so I'm not looking forward to that.
Leo finally seems better. He was able to sleep all thru the night. No more fever. Only lots of boogers. Since he didn't start the new DC this week and it closes for a week in Dec, I decided to keep Leo home for this month. My sister thinks I'm crazy for doing that but I'd rather transition him without any breaks. Plus, since I can't drive yet, coordinating drop offs seemed a pain.
Any tips/suggestions on how to keep Leo busy are appreciated!
It snowed last night, so I'm trying to not go anywhere. We might have to go somewhere for lunch, tho. Nothing to eat here. Got my AS scheduled for Monday. DH wants to know right away, but he can't make the appt due to work. I'll call him after the scan, but before my appt starts and let him know.
ourcrazynavylife lo did that on Black Friday with my credit card. He got ahold of my wallet and was "driving" all the various cards down his car ramp. I found them all except for my credit card. Turned out he had shoved it in some random pocket of my wallet. raven hope you found some place yummy for lunch! We had the tiniest bit of snow here the other day, but it was melted by noon. littlelion glad Leo is feeling better! As far as entertainment- playdoh, coloring at the high chair (don't trust my lo anywhere else with writing utensils yet lol), lo will play with a bowl of flour and spoons/forks in his high chair forever. If I'm really desperate for a break, lo has some games on the tablet. He really likes Endless Alphabet, Endless Numbers, and some of the Lego Duplo apps. BabyStandish I hear you on the solo parenting. Happy belated birthday! dashook glad your dd passed her hearing test!
Had the worst migraine since before lo was born this morning. It's day 3 of AF here, so it confirms my theory that the headaches I've been getting are indeed menstrual migraines. I really need to get my butt in to see my doctor so I can get some migraine meds. The OTC stuff isn't cutting it, especially after this morning. Thankfully it's mostly gone away and lo only fought nap for a little while today.
