Waiting to hear how you're doing staz ! Hoping today is your day!!!
My lovely DH drank too much last night. He's thrown up twice this morning...and now he's headed to work. I honestly want to f-ing punch him in his stupid face. And also his friends for thinking that's appropriate/encouraging it.
flyinghorses6 - MH pulled something similar when J was born. I was not amused. I hope he cleaned up before leaving.
AFM, I was up three times to pump last night. I look like shit this morning from crying a ton yesterday and eating like crap. And MH is up my ass about when we're leaving for the NICU. I'm doing my best here, man. Let me sip a little coffee and shower, for the love of God! Twenty minutes. All I effing need is 20 minutes...

@jacks605 yes everything was cleaned up thank goodness or I would have flipped out.
Pretty sure we have hit our first growth spurt over here. R is a ravenous beast this morning. She nursed for a solid straight 2 hours at like 3 am, and she's more awake and alert than she's been the last 10 days.

oldbaylover1024, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Try to take care of yourself. I hope C will be home soon.
Proud of you for pumping in the MOTN. You're a good mommy. ❤
flyinghorses6, I would be super annoyed. You have such a new baby. We're not even letting non immediate family come and visit. I can't imagine having friends over and drinking.
AFM, E had another longer night last night. Still cluster feeding. She basically nursed from 11-4 with short breaks, but never fell asleep for more than 20 minutes during those breaks.
I'm wondering how much sleep is normal. When she was first born, she'd nurse and sleep for a more extended period of time (an hour or two). Now she'll nurse and stay awake the majority of the time. And she likes to be held. She gets upset if you put her down. So it makes things like putting her in a RnP difficult. :/
dancerspose - I do plan on BF so that is disheartening to hear the LC's aren't that great at our hospital. I will keep your LC in mind if I have struggles with BF.
I will laugh my butt off if they give me a size small nipple shield.
My newb mind didn't even realize that they came in different sizes. I didn't even think about it until our pediatrician asked if I had been fitted i naively just assumed if it was given to me at the hospital it had to be done correctly...wrong.
Y'all, I had contractions like all night. Started at 3:45 am and were pretty regular until like 5, right when I was starting to decide that maybe shit was going down for real. They were quite painful and I couldn't sleep through it. And my contractions app was even like "time to get your bag together!" And so I got up and they immediately fizzled away. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... and then the irregular ones woke me up at random times and my night was a mess.
I didn't have to time these bastards last pregnancy because my water broke. This is quite the mind fuck.

Sounds like a growth spurt loves2shop4shoes maybe you can get some naps during the day today. Maybe try a swing for a bit, pacifier, or just get a nice series on Netflix going and hunker down on the couch and nurse away. I miss my first maternity leave--I am so sick of cartoons. But I so desperately want to keep both my babies happy. This shit is hard!!!

Good luck staz! Congratulations notagoddess, can't wait to hear how it went.
I'm laying in bed with a baby that doesn't want to sleep. I was hoping I could get another hour of sleep while DD1 and DH were at church but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. They're picking up breakfast tacos on the way home so that's exciting lol.
staz &cosmicav -Hope your bodies figure out this labor stuff soon! Feel so bad that things keep starting and stopping.
Sitting on the couch nursing one baby and #2 is now crying and wants to be fed as well. Tandem is so much more efficient but it's so nice just nursing one at a time. Actually feel like I can bond with 1 that I miss with 2 on there.
DH is attempting to take LO1 to church this morning since she has so much energy she keeps waking the twins up with her jumping and running around. They are so much more cranky on the weekends when she's home with us all day....makes me so grateful for daycare!

As for me, not having a very good day so far. DD has an ear infection (we think, she was complaining that it hurt last night). DH has finally left to take her to urgent care after spending the morning eating all of the crackers ever. Baby napped most of the morning but is now super fussy.

Nothing going on the pregnancy front today so I'm taking lunch to DH's work shortly since it is 65 degrees and he's working yet another weekend straight through trying to get things in order, I think this is weekend 4 in a row.
Afterwards it to the scrapbooking store to get an extra insert for my ultrasound scrapbook since I ran out of pages. Tonight is date night to a fancy restaurant thanks to a coupon from my Birthday Pak.
This baby is so grunty. He doesn't cry - just grunts! It's making motn really rough because he makes all kinds of noises with his eyes closed which are the same noises he makes when he's hungry. I think we'd all sleep better if he was in his crib, but I'm not quite ready to sleep in separate rooms.
Big hugs to everyone dealing with bf-ing issues and still waiting for labor!
