Well, we had our first night home with C! He's done pretty well. He's a snuggler, so he obviously would rather sleep on us than the PnP. But he ate at 8, slept till 11:30 in the PnP, ate again, then got up at 3:30. After that he tossed and turned and was pretty fussy.
He's definitely dealing with some gas and/or reflux. They brought it up at the NICU, too. We have a pedi appointment tomorrow so we'll bring it up there. He grunts and gets squirmy, poor guy.
But he's eating well, he gave us some stretches of sleep, and he's really alert when he's up. FX he stays on some sort of schedule.
My boobs are a mess. We're pretty much exclusively pumping and bottle feeding, which I'm fine with. But the excess pumping from the mastitis has totally effed up my supply. I'm trying to reduce pumping to every 3 hours, but it's really hard. It's enough to drive me to quit honestly. Between the mastitis, my current psoriasis outbreak on my nips, and the constant pumping... Ugh.

For the nipple pain try going shirtless for a bit after pumping if you can and expressing some milk putting on them. The milk will help with the cracking and pain. Unsure if it would help the psoriasis or not.

I'm not dealing with too much cracking or blistering, just dryness, which goes with the psoriasis. I had the psoriasis with J, too, and there isn't really anything safe to use while nursing/pumping. And unfortunately, breast milk doesn't help. All I can do is apply aquaphor frequently and wipe with vinegar to reduce the chances of yeast buildup. It's reaaaaally fun! [Sarcasm font so hard]

@wineandcupcakes try not to use wipes until she's not to red....warm water on paper towels, or wash cloths and air dry. I also use organic, sensitive wipes (babyganics, honest company, seventh generation) might be worth switching to.

Ditto this. Or you can buy some plain old flannel and cut into squares to use as wipes. And put some blue dawn dish soap and water in a spray bottle to use for cleaning- spray the baby butt directly or the flannel. Good enough for cleaning oil off baby ducks, good enough for poopy baby butts.
A is a poop machine. A machine! The girl poops like 10 times a day and her poor bum is red and getting raw. It doesn't seem that the aquaphor is helping.
Any suggestions? She just gets her ass wiped so much! Now I'm blotting just to try and not cause her pain.
We use triple paste. It costs $20 for a tub of it but it lasts a long time and has always done the trick for DS1.

shawnabm1320, make me a promise that we have our babies on the same day, okay? I don't want to be last and I know you don't want to be either!
No labor so far. I made it through church with no stupid comments, which was nice. Now we continue waiting. H and DS1 were both born on a 27th, so tomorrow would be a fantastic birthday, kiddo!

I'm not ready for the weekend to end...back to solo parenting 2 children all week including dinner and bedtime 😬 gives me anxiety just thinking about it.
DH, FIL, and FIL's gf are currently making dinner. I know R is going to wake up to nurse as soon as it's done.

Thanks for the suggestions and recipe @jacks605, flyinghorses6, allisong87, oldbaylover1024 and ls2012!
I went out and got the purple desitin and will use warm cloths for blotting for now. I am actually already using the Babyganics wipes so I'm on the right track with that. If none of that works we will dry her very well and make that recipe! Poor girl and her bum troubles.
Also remembered if the diaper rash gets to be an angry red and doesn't go away after a few days it could be yeast related and then you can put lotrimin on it.

We just got back in from our first big day out. We had DS's newborn photo shoot this morning. We all went so I could get a couple shots of him and the girls in there too. Surprisingly everybody was very well behaved, and cooperative. I cannot wait to get them back.
Then we went out for lunch to treat the kids, and grocery shopping (finally). Now we're home again. The fact that DD2 made it to 3:00 without any nap and no meltdown ensued, is nothing short of a miracle. DD1 is on the cusp but refuses to nap so she's snuggled with DH on the couch watching him play video games. And I'm sneaking in some baby snuggles, contemplating my own nap.

I went out with S by myself for the second time today. We went to the coffee shop and on a short walk. I need to learn how to navigate the stroller in tight spaces and crowds. I almost knocked down the line markers and an employee had to help me out. Then I was too distracted by S to order and pay like a normal person. The crowd made me pretty anxious and we left after a few minutes.
I need to find quieter indoor spaces to go when the weather isn't great. Being home all day for multiple days makes me feel like I'm going nuts.

S is getting a lot of food -- she feeds 12 times a day or more. The LC measured her getting 3 oz in 15 minutes, and she usually nurses for longer. But, she poops nonstop. Like at least 1 dirty diaper between feedings, sometimes 2 or 3. Sometimes the poop smells really bad. How do I know if she has an upset stomach or indigestion or something? I'll call her pedi tomorrow. I'm just worried she has diarrhea.

Same here, major anxiety about being alone with both babies except I don't have a toddler! All of you moms with toddlers and newborns are super heroes!

Good for you for getting out!! Being cooped up all day is enough to make a girl crazy! I've been also trying to think of places that I can take both babies when I'm brave enough to venture out with both of them.

We just went to the grocery store with zero meltdowns from anyone! Thank you lord. Well, we did bribe DS1 and let him pick out a toy after we finished the list. He's been so sweet lately and I'm a sucker...
And my mom and sister and nephew are gone so it's quiet again!
And +1 to having a nursing baby who can sense when momma is going to eat. Every. Single. Time. Who likes warm food anyway?!

notagoddess - Good for you for going out. It just takes practice to get comfortable. I found coffee shops and smaller food stores difficult to navigate because of the natural rush and the small spaces. But it gets easier. Keep at it!

I highly recommend a place like Barnes and noble or whatever bookstore to take baby. It's quiet usually not too crowded and has big enough aisles to accommodate a stroller. You can also get a cup of coffee.

My parents, sister, and MIL all visited today. BIL, SIL, and their kid visited last night. Tomorrow is the pedi; Tuesday is the in-home nurse visit from the NICU; and Wednesday is our photo session at our house. Then, next Sunday is a big family party/welcome home for C. Thank God it's potluck and our families are cooking.

Twin mommas are bad ass!!! My toddler is a handful but at least at 7:30 she's down for 10-11 hours....I could only handle 1 child waking up all night.
notagoddess I love to go to the mall on weekday mornings. It's pretty quiet but big enough that there's space to navigate. I walk some laps and then have food court lunch. Good for you for getting out! Also, check the front wheels of your stroller. Ours can lock so it's harder in tight spaces. I unlock them in stores, etc.
