Took all 3 kiddos downstairs for LO1 to watch cartoons while I feed the twins. DH is in LO1's room sleeping. Guess LO1 and I took up too much room last night.

So excited to see more babies on the way!
I got up and made pancakes but my husband and S are still sleeping. It's nice to have some quiet time alone. Today I want to figure out the Kiinde Twist system I bought for breast milk storage since I'm pumping a lot of small portions to handle oversupply. I also want to do some cleaning and give S her first sponge bath at home. She's spitting up a lot and it's all over everything. My parents and grandma are dropping by for lunch. Hopefully I can fit a shower somewhere in there.
notagoddess, I use the kiinde storage bags too. When I have small amounts (less than a full bottle) I usually keep a medela collection bottle in the fridge and combine until I know I have enough to make a full serving to freeze in a twist bag. You could do it in a bag too, I just find the oz markings on the medela bottles easier to read.
DH went out with a friend last night for drinks. He's his best friend from out of town and wasn't getting into the airport until midnight. Well, today DH is dragging. I have no sympathy. Suck it up bud.
MIL took DD with her so DH LO and I are getting ready and going to run some errands. We're making a Costco and lowes run. DH is overly excited for LO to go on his first lowes trip lol.
We're hoping to find a swing set at either Lowes or Costco. Anyone have any other recommendations of places to looks for a good wooden swing set?

notagoddess can I ask why not a submersion bath? I find the babies cry in a sponge bath so much more because they get cold v. an actual warm tubby...granted I feel like you need more hands for a tub bath unless you have a lounge one or hammock that holds the baby in the water.
We don't have much going on today. We had a pretty rough night since R started her longest stretch of sleep at 6pm and I didn't lay down until 9. She was up at 10:30 so my night just started hard. It's overcast but warm here so maybe get outside for a bit at some point. We just still have so much snow. We basically do chalk or bubbles in the driveway. Gets pretty old fast. I've been trying to clip my toddlers nails for three days. I finished her toes today, and 1 fingernail. She also won't let me do her hair or brush her teeth so there have been many wrestling matches of late.

pivot our toys r us/ babies r us has all its spring summer seasonal stuff out and that includes swing sets and play sets.
My mom is here and just took DS1 to get donuts. They better remember to bring me back one! It's Mardi Gras craziness this weekend and traffic is ridiculous so we are going to putter around town and avoid the interstate!
Hoping to hear about some more F17 babies this weekend!

Those with mastitis experience, how long does the pain last? I've been on antibiotics for two days now. Other than the pain, I'm feeling better, but it's still pretty bad. It hurts to hold her on that side, and both nursing and pumping hurt.

dancerspose, I think I remember having relief within 48-72 hours of starting antibiotics. I would try a hot compress before nursing or pumping to see if it softens the lump and makes it a little less tender.
Edit to clarify, it wasn't totally relief within that time frame, but enough to make me not wince every time my boob was touched or jostled.

Can I have a baby please? Please? I'm feeling like something might be starting, but that also might be wishful thinking. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to go to church tomorrow no matter the state of my ute. Cannot handle another week pregnant there.

Here for F17 baby watch today! Mooore babies!!!
Well last night sucked. DS cried on and off from midnight to 2:30 then passed out on DH until my boobs woke me up at 4:45 and I went and got them both. DS ate then stayed in our bed so no PnP success last night but the gas was unreal. I blame his rediculous cluster feeding from 7-11pm. But he screams if I keep him from food. Not sure how to win here.
We need groceries today, there is no food in this house. We would have gone yesterday but it was snowing a lot. MIL wants everybody over for supper tonight. I'm going to need a nap to make it that far in the day.

flyinghorses6, they told us no submersion bath until the cord falls off. Is that accurate? I'm sure she'll cry a lot -- she hated the feeling of those dry hospital wipes when they were wet.

I'm dreading church tomorrow. I know everyone will be nice and mean well, but they'll be asking me how I'm doing, so I'll have to answer a million questions.
At this point I'm just hoping to give birth before my NST on Wednesday. Apparently weather changes and storms mean nothing to my body, since we're having both and I don't feel remotely labor-y.

My mom and her boyfriend just visited for a little bit. Mom brought me donuts to "induce labor." I mean, I don't think sugar induces labor, but at least I got to eat a donut? They also got F a toy power washer (lol), so at least he has something new to occupy him today.
Later tonight we're going to dinner with my sister for her birthday. I'm going to do some sewing while F is napping. My goal is to finish a sewing project per day until the baby gets here. Positive thinking to keep me from moping

callmeKD We found one at Costco that we're going to get! It's a little more than we wanted to spend but I'll be damned if I'm not tempted to play in it it's that cool 😎

DH got up with DD1 so I slept until 8:30, changed and fed DD2 and then got a much needed shower. I feel somewhat human again. Mom and DH are headed out to Home Depot when DD1 goes down for her nap. We may take a trip to Luby's for dinner. I am so looking forward to it! I have been eating All The Foods since baby was born. I am in heaven being able to eat again! Looking forward to all the weekend baby updates

Sweet! Here's ours before the spiral slide was attached. It's survived a MN winter so far and is in great shape.

notagoddess I think that's the old standard of care...we do submersion baths at our hospital as long as baby has no healing circumcision...but I guess each pediatrician has their preference. R has gotten about 4 submersion baths since birth and never a sponge bath...and her cord is perfectly healed. (She's 17 days old).

My squish has arrived! R. weighs 7.2 lbs, 20 1/4 inches, and was born at 11:21am after 12 hours of labor. I'm looking at DH in amazement holding his son, it truly takes my breath away. Will share birth story later, I'm taking a nap before my parents arrive and his next feeding.
