I've always wondered what day people celebrate their birthday on if they were born on feb 29..
Speaking of leaps, C definitely made hers 2 weeks early. The app forecast doesn't make it look like it's possible but reading the FAQs it is. She's back to her good sleeping self after 2 nights of misery (thank goodness), and she's definitely "seeing" vs just "looking". There's a big difference how she looks at H and I.

pibblemom, I noticed the changes after B's leap too. It's awesome. He has been so smiley today. Now if only he's fall asleep so I can do laundry, clean bottles, and take a nap.
I'm trying not to be a lurker, it is so hard! Dd and I are up, listening to music and eating waffles. R keeps waking up but going back to sleep with his pacifier. No plans for today, it is mh's first night at work this week so our first day off without having to do something. Apparently our air conditioner is messing up and mh recommended I go to my parents for the day to stay cool. The problem is I have their pack n play here at my house and it is set up. So to go over there would be a lot of work. Not really sure what to do, the high today is only 82 but that'll still make it pretty hot in the house.

+1 to the lurker struggle meeggaannw. Would one of your ILs be able to come help with the pack n play and any other preparation needed to leave your house? As a Floridian, I agree 82 isn't awful but you'd probably be more comfortable with AC.
DH took DS1 to his speech therapy today to get DS used to us alternating it. W and I are having a Target date which is starting out with me nursing him in a fitting room because it's honestly the most comfortable place to sit.
We have an afternoon full of doctors appointments. DH has his follow up for his kidney stone (which has passed), and I have my 6 week PP visit. I'm excited to see my favorite MW.
MissDemeanor, day drinking sounds AMAZING right now. In fact that just made me want to start pumping now to save up for a whole day. It could be good couples therapy.
meeggaannw, I think we all have lurky days. Also, could not imagine 82 degrees in March. I'm having a hard time accepting 50s/60s that we're having now.

Everyone works unfortunately. But our ac guy happened to be in the neighborhood and just came and fixed it! So awesome and now I don't have to go anywhere. I do feel so bad for mh though, he just finally went to bed. He will get maybe 5 hours of sleep before he has to work tonight

pibblemom, In regards to things dealing with the state or federal government, they count their "birthday" as March 1st.
Oh man, I was exhausted after W woke up earlier this morning because I didn't get the awesome sleep he did and thankfully he slept another almost 3 hours after that wakeup! I'm still sleepy but getting more awake. DS1 is cuddling with him on the bed right now. Too bad they won't go back to bed.
So jelly of your LOs awesome sleep night thelittleredm. I'm just waiting for B to do one of those. I literally go to sleep each night saying, I hope this is the *one* when he goes 6+hrs. Still no dice for us.
We're at my patents house so they can help out with DD. She's feeling better this morning but I didn't want to risk sending her into daycare just to get sent home (and banned for 24hrs). We have a swing here so I got 45 minutes to myself while B napped and my mom entertained DD.
Insurance company yesterday: yep we have everything. It will activate tomorrow and dd will be covered for her appointment.
Insurance company today: lol no. We don't have any of your info.
So dd couldn't get her shot today. The nurses said shots plural but the doctor just said 2nd Hep B. They covered her check up under our insurance. The nurses were extremely helpful trying to find dd on our policy. They were also rolling their eyes at the insurance company. Mh called and they told us they didn't have the info even though they said we were good to go when he spoke with them yesterday. HR is pissed and calling up the broker.
I'm just glad this is my second kid. FTM Lakegirl would have been a crying anxious mess on the pediatricians floor. STM Lakegirl is all breezy and just tell me what to do nurses.
So then I went to my favorite consignment store for some retail therapy. Ds now has some cute button downs for the summer.
lakegirl I'm so sorry about all the insurance drama! But is so agree with you about the difference between ftm feelings and stm feelings. I'm so much breezier this time.
Ugh sorry lakegirl. I'm ragey for you. Your description of stm though is spot on. I frequently think of that luvs commercial where the ftm is laying out her diaper bag and then they show the stm grabbing a handful of cheerios and being like - I'm ready to go. lol.

Oooh so, I went to my mom's yesterday and we did our nails and chatted while my dad entertained the boys. I absolutely love my new mani! It came out even better than I thought!
MH went back to work today, it's amazing what a difference that second set of hands makes! L has been super fussy so we are firmly in leap territory. I'm also sick AF yet again. This time it's a cold. Nonetheless I still managed to make it out to get my car inspected (inspection was up yesterday). I didn't have time to make coffee before my appointment, so I stopped and got a large iced from McD on the way. Dropped it on it's side in a puddle as I was trying to get L out of the car in the pouring rain. Still drank some of it lololol. Then dropped it again spilling it everywhere on my way out. Thank goodness the auto shop guy was super super nice, but ugh i am winning at life HARD today.
lakegirl, sorry for the insurance drama but I'm with you on the STM feels.
rinny, so sorry you're sick again. FeEl better soon.
I've had a couple of stay home days because of weather on Monday and yesterday H was pretty sick. A combination of his first cold, goopy eyes and having his shots on Monday meant he had a fever all day. DS1 was never sick as a baby so I was a bit worried but he mostly slept. As long as I was holding him. His temp is hovering at 100 today so trying to keep him happy off tylenol.
Went to the BF group today and feel better about H's weight gain stall after talking with the LC. Exchanged numbers with a couple of the other moms so going to make plans for a few playdates. Now enjoying a coffee in starbucks while H naps in the ergo before going grocery shopping. I'm wearing trainers for the first time since breaking my toe so may see how I get on with a walk around the neighborhood later. It's nice out.

E had her 4 month appointment this morning. It went really well. She is in the 25% percentile for preemies in height weight and head. She got 4 shots and the rotovirus oral dosage. She cried but is fine and napping now. Pedi said we can start to feed her cereals and see how she does.

I thought growth spurts happened according to due date. Isn't there one at 6 weeks? DD will be 6 weeks tomorrow, but she came at 39 weeks (IVF baby so no guesswork with the dates). She's a cranky mess that wants to be on my boob the past two evenings and cluster feed. Or maybe it's a leap? Or maybe babies are just unpredictable!

It's amazing how much I can get done if she sleeps at night and takes good naps! I reorganized her clothes, took a shower, had two hot meals, started laundry and made lactation cookies.
Now she probably won't nap the rest of the day (it's 3pm) so we'll see how screwed I am when DH leaves for work.

weeklyplanner I always counted spurts based on birth date not due date. And they can come 2-3 days early or late. I think N hit it two days early, she was a cluster feeding nightmare on Sunday & was six weeks yesterday
