I haven't made the news official but I did tell my bestie because I told her I was seeing a fertility specialist. At that time she told me she is expecting # 3 and is due a month before me. We were pregnant together with our first kids.

My bff has also been trying 2 years, so she's openly pissy that it happened to me first. I get it, and I'm just trying not to talk about it. She's 5 years older than me, so I think she's a bit more stressed out about the time line, but also she got to see the RE six months before me, and just chose not to do anything with what he gave her (clomiphene) so I tried it and then moved on to an IUI, and she just decided to try it now. So hopefully she and her DH will get on board with an IUI and it'll work for them too!
I know quite a few people who will be off on maternity leave while I am (since it's a year in Canada), so we'll see if I end up clicking with any of them mother to mother, ya know?
I just agreed to a playdate tomorrow morning with another friend. We leave for Disney tomorrow night/early Saturday morning and I still have to pack for myself and the kids and clean up the house. I've made better calls.
I think DS is getting sick, ugh. He woke up with a flemy cough, hope it doesn't turn into anything. I don't use cough medicine on him as it never seems to work (he's had about 2/3 coughs since been born) so I try natural things. His acting his completely normal self so I'm not worried.
He's fallen right to sleep within 10 mins of putting him down for a nap, so this tired Mummy is also going for a nap!
beefinch, I hope DS feels better. I think DD might have felt a little warm when I was saying good bye to her at daycare, I hope she's not getting sick too
I'm so glad that the weekend is here! I need a nap.
I have my first beta scheduled for Monday afternoon. I will probably continue peeing on things daily until then to calm my nerves. The receptionist at my RE's office scolded me for not waiting the full 2 weeks before taking a test. Shush it lady, I'm pregnant now schedule my appointment. I should probably have blood draws on Monday and Wednesday and then will have a 6 week ultrasound the week of the 27th. IF sucks majorly but I do like that it affords me the ability to have 3 early ultrasounds before I am released to my obgyn.
I have been feeling quite nauseous this morning. Our CEO brought in Hardees biscuits for breakfast, which I love normally, and I couldn't even eat one bite. How depressing. Lucky for me, the cheesy hashbrown rounds with piles of hot sauce went down fine. Ugh, I am going to be a house this time around.
Observation 3 of 4 for this year done! And it went well enough. Now I just have to sweat it out while I wait for a building administrator to walk in for my unannounced.
My slow cooked beef is smelling so good. I made some sort of sauce to go with it, passata, herbs and beef stock. Going to steam some veggies and make some rice.
Google isn't being helpful, when does the placenta start giving stuff to the baby? This would be a nutrient filled meal for the baby bean!

RoLoMa that receptionist sounds like an ass, it's a positive test either way, so shut up and book the appt 😂
I get it, some people probably test really early and if they have triggered ovulation they can get a false positive. However, we didn't trigger so there wouldn't be anything giving a false positive for me. I was just irritated, even though I knew she was going to say something even before I called.
OK, I got all caught up. That's exciting that so many of us are pregnant with other ladies in our lives! My cousin (we are double cousins and very close) is just two weeks ahead of me with her first. I have two other mom friends here that have babies just a month older than my DD and are in their second trimester now with their second.
Is anyone using any pregnancy apps? I downloaded Ovia and I'm really liking it. It has different options for baby sizes, so right now mine is the size of a dot snail!
I'm jealous of you ladies being able to share your pregnancy journeys with close ones.
My cousins fiancé is about 12 weeks ahead of me, but I'm not remotely close with either of them. Myself and DH have massive families but not many people are having babies! The last baby born was Nov16, and apart from that cousin, nobody else is pregnant (that I know of) my best friend of 22 years, is actually married to DH's cousin (that's how I met DH) we have the same surname which is weird lol, she had a baby April16, and are done having kids.

That's why I waited a week to call. Last time I called early and receptionist was clearly, mentally judging my ability to read a pee stick.
blabbermouth , I am the queen of procrastination, but I always get the job done! We have about...16 hours before we leave. Plenty of time!
I downloaded Ovia, too. The size comparisons are really cute, not sure how I feel about the interface yet.
I used the Ovia app last time and just reset the info this pregnancy. My favorite part was the different size comparison options. Some are really funny. I hate the ads in the "newsfeed" roll but some of the articles and little notes were really helpful. I will probably only use it again this time because, well, lazy.
Hahaha beefinch, so which one do you like best then?!
Ovia & pregnancy+
Used them both with C, my change day was Saturday, so I used to walk up every Saturday morning and check them all, and read all the info, I'll be doing it this time around also.
