My mom is here and I kinda want to TP her. She had to call me last week and let me know she found two pairs of jeans I use to wear when I was 18. Of course, she has to wear them when she came over and when I didn't say something she had to point it out and then some. Ever since she got divorced she has this weird one sided competition with me.
Bleh. Oreo time.
Fuck her. Can I say that about your mom?
Don't compete. Anytime she "wins" act super happy for her. Like enthusiastic over the top happy, like the happy you see in bad soap operas. If she doesn't get what she wants from it, she may stop.

rondackhiker Your reverse psychology tactic blows my mind. Brilliant. :::applause:::
Date night is getting too complicated. To go out, we need a babysitter. To have a babysitter, I need to clean the house. Cleaning the house make me need a nap, which I don't have time for even if the kids cooperated with that. I need a shower, but then I'll have to blow dry my hair, which takes foreva.
Also, when the crap did my house get so messy? /end whine. /start wine.

Haha it's ok to say that's about my mom, I was certainly thinking it. I think you're right, she can see I'm less than enthused to be having yet another conversation about weight. If I hear one more, "you don't think I'm too skinny, right?!" I will lose my shit.

Because I know you're all dying of curiosity.... I ended up ordering a high chair from Amazon. My parents live about an hour from IKEA, so it just wasn't worth the drive. I got the Thomas the train one, because it has an activity set that goes in the tray, so LO can play trains. I don't know how it will be, but the reviews were good, and it was on sale. I paid extra for one day shipping
I'm hiding in the bathroom running a bath for DD. I'm so tired. She didn't want any dinner. That means she is going to be up all night. Hopefully not puking. I'm tired just thinking about it.
Eta: she did eat a banana. So I think it was more she was like plain rice with some chicken broth...yuck!!

squirm Just wanted to say I'm glad you came out of lurkdom when you did because you crack me up daily. Also, I'm sort of glad your avatar is back because it's easier to identify you but also makes me want donuts.

Once I feed LO for the last time before bed I'm heading to Target solo. Mine closes on the 31st so I'm hoping there will be deals. The last time I was there and saw the barren shelves I literally teared up.
I think I'm going to work on some b-day stuff for LO's party when I return. DH is on night-time duty. He went back to 3rd shift this week so I've had 16 hour solo shifts 5 days in a row and desperately need this break!
Phew. Just caught up after our day at the zoo. Now I Forget what I wanted to comment on.
LO did surprisingly well at the zoo today. He even napped in his carrier which he hasn't done in forever! However, I guess he is afraid of the car wash. He started crying hysterically when it started and stopped as soon as we were out. Weird.
Also, what should I drink now that we are home? AO or barefoot moscato ( inspired by the previous barefoot discussions)

annie0714 moscato! I'm opening my Bfoot riesling right now!
I liked the name Harrison for a boy but was afraid of people calling him Harry and making fun of him. Now that I've learned about Harry Styles I totally want to convince my DH that it's a good option if we have another boy someday.
