Omg. I miss Wegmans so much. I was living in DC during the 2009 snowmageddon/snowpocolypse and after 4 days of being stuck in my apartment I walked to Safeway for sometimes do. I remember the dairy section was empty except for 1 lonely yogurt cup. It was crazy! Stay safe!!!

I find it crazy that the US doesn't have a set thing like U.K does, we have a 9 month full pay when you go decide to go on MAT leave. You can take a full year off after the 9 months is up but the rest is unpaid. (This depends on how long you've worked for your employer before getting pregnant)

It's crazy and I do feel sorry for you guys (not in a patronising way) as I couldn't ever imagine having to leave my baby at 6 weeks old.

I'm a SAHM this time around so I don't have of that stuff to worry about, I'm not sure about paternity pay as that's different to maternity pay, but DH will deffo be taking something as do not want to spend the first couple weeks alone with a newborn and 2 and a half year old.

I can commiserate with those that have felt ragey lately, I have been such a bitch the last couple of days. Of course having a toddler that won't sleep and being short-staffed at work doesn't help but I need to snap out of this funk.

We've just got back from soft play where DH followed C around like a bad smell, he's so over protective.

Had lunch, and just changed C's bum ready for his nap and now he's working on a poo, literally the second after we finished changing him bum. Typical. Can always tell when he's pooping as he hides and squats lol (and the smell!!)

I'm supposed to have betas again today and I'm trying to schedule myself an earlier appointment. Our driveway is questionable on whether I can get out or not and the snowblower broke last night, of course, so I definitely won't be able to get out later. They are supposed to open at 9 and of course no one is answering yet. So now I have idea if they're even going to be open today or not. No one has called me to say they're closed though. Hopefully the weather is just slowing down opening the office.

I took my final HPT today....digital with weeks....it said 3+ so I'm gonna stop testing now. Plus my Dr's appointment is in a week!

Well that was awfully nice! I have a hard time with coffee during first tri. It's very unfortunate for me. 

Yesterday I threw up immediately after drinking coffee but I made a different kind so I think that did the trick. I hope baby decides to be nice and you get some coffee!

I had some. It played nice today. My usual black coffee becomes a problem but for some reason milky coffees like lattes don't bother me. Our Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks budget blows up during first tri, because I require coffee daily no matter what the little parasite says.

We bought a little Mariners jersey to celebrate betas last night. I'm still nervous, but it was kinda fun to acknowledge being pregnant. We laid it on the bed in the to be nursery. It's surreal to see something for our baby in the house, instead of just presents for other babies.

I had my second beta today and it came back at 526. 48.53 hours doubling My RE wants to see 66% increase and we had like 98.5%. I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief. First ultrasound is scheduled for 3/27, I'll be 6w2d.

Oh no @thatgolfbitch, I hope your day goes okay and goes by quickly! Also, I have to get up at 4am tomorrow morning for a flight It doesn't sound so early when you're booking a flight that leaves at 6:15 until you realize how much earlier you have to get there and that the airport is 1/2 an hour away etc. Thankfully we're not checking bags and we have a tiny airport

Mat leave in Canada is really good. A full year at 55% (I think?). I mean, there's a salary cap, which isn't great, but I will not complain at all! beefinch, the UK sounds amazing, full pay is crazy!

@annperkins, mine too, and I've never had small nips in the first place, lol.

I have no idea! Those numbers seem high given I'm only 4+4. I kind of want to ask for an earlier ultrasound because I'm curious. Multiples don't run on either side of our family though.
