I woke up at 4am to pee and then my body decided it was a good time to just be awake for the day.

This is our last day at Disney, so I'm doing my best to rally. It hasn't been too bad so far outside of a little extra nausea. I foresee a midday crash in my future, though.

We took care of my parent's dog this week while they were out of town so to thank us, they are making us corned beef and cabbage/potatoes and keeping DS overnight. I'm so so excited to sleep without a toddler kicking me awake every 30 mins!

My computer decided that it needed to update so there's that. I slept like garbage last night so I'm trying to get everything done so I can leave soon. Computer is not helping. Blah. I need a nap today lol.

My hormones have betrayed me today as I woke up grumpy. And I've stayed grumpy! Poor DH thinks he's done something wrong.

Apart from that it's been a good day, had a great nap and nice presents.

Now we're off to my parents to have KFC and they are having C for us. And I think my mums got a lemon meringue pie which is my fav.

Looking forward to tomorrow as we've got the cinema and Pizza Hut. Mmmmm

I find that if I put off eating due to queasiness it gets worse. I try for something light like toast, crackers, sometimes a banana. It's hard when everything sounds unpleasant. Do you feel queasy all day?

I'm feeling the same way today. I usually just eat crackers through out the day and if I think of anything that doesn't make me feel sick (usually gross fast food), I go get it lol.

It's not even every day which is what's messing with me. First two pregnancies I had no morning sickness at all. This time, it's every couple days, I have a day or two where I either feel hung over so everything sounds awful or I feel queasy like I ate too much (even when I've had nothing).

Usually it dissipates once I actually eat something and yeah, it definitely gets worse if I don't eat, but today has been really bad for "everything sounds like it's going to make me hurl".

I think I'm going to sip some boring chicken broth and see if I can get myself in a headspace to eat something better in a little while.

My food aversions definitely seem stronger this time around too. With DD the queasiness would go away after food. Not this time. I hope the chicken broth calms it and you can eat something better soon.

Hahaha yes, this is me today. I feel like I could definitely go for a greasy burger from McD's (horrifying, I never go there, this is awful) but everything else is gross. 

Mmmm a burger sounds good. I figured out what I'm having for dinner!

My first tri with DD all I could stomach were bland white carbs. So bad for my weight gain. So far this time I'm doing better eating more then just carbs, so far.

We are going to happy hour tonight with another couple. The place has the best appetizers so hopefully I can stomach my favorites. We still haven't told anyone we're expecting, so it will be interesting to see how they respond when I don't order a drink.

So, this will probably be the first of MANY dumb questions... but how do I choose an OBGYN? I only have seen an ARNP for my annuals and didn't need a referral for the RE. I would like to stay in my current practice, they deliver at the hospital I prefer. Can I just call them and ask them to hook me up with someone? Is there anything I should consider or ask questions about? I guess I'd prefer a midwife or DO, but there is no real basis for that.

I haven't pooped in 3 days. I am not looking forward to when I finally poop.

I had this the whole way through with DS's pregnancy. I would go days without pooping and then have a good half a day 'clearing' everything and be back to square 1 again.

I'm very much aware this is TMI.

beefinch, I basically preformed a dramatic reenactment of giving birth in the bathroom the other night. I've tried to up my fiber since then.

My practice has bios of each of the doctors on their website. I read through them My ob retired so I was OK with whomever for my first appointment based on availability. Don't be afraid to shop around. That being said, the on-call doctor at the hospital delivered my first so not even my regular doctor. I'd ask about episiotomy (do they do it, do they avoid it, etc. some old school OBs still do it), delaying cord cutting, and any other practices that are important to you. The best OB IMO is going to listen to any questions you have, provide answers when they can, and support the choices that you want to make about your pregnancy/labor & delivery. If you want a midwife, I'd suggest requesting one and seeing what your options are.

I made it all week with only light nausea and of course in the last minutes we are in the MK I have to sprint to the bathroom so I can dry heave in the toilet. Then it was touch and go on the monorail back to the parking lot. I would have absolutely died if I had thrown up on a packed monorail.

I'm only 4 weeks so no symptoms yet. I always start the nausea process at exactly 6 weeks so I'm living it up the next 2 weeks I have.

I was super clueless about this too with DD because we planned to use a hospital an hour from our house at the time. I literally called the labor and delivery and asked for suggestions because I didn't know how else to go about it. Went with their top suggestion and I loooove my OB.

I very much so have the opposite problem every morning.

Also my practice rotates you through all their doctors and any if the five deliver. I just lucked out that my favorite one was on call the entire weekend I was in labor with DD, so she's been my primary since. One of the other doctors ended up handling my loss though because seeing them was time sensitive and my regular OB wasn't available the day I needed to be seen.

On my FB I have so many friends that are pregnant and due within a month or two within my due date, it's kind of fun seeing all the announcements knowing mine will be in around 6ish weeks. Had 1 girl that I just know from being from the same town that announced today and she is just shy of 7 weeks (same as me, 6+5 today) I thought wow that's early to announce but I'm a worrier and won't announce to FB until after our scan. I just want to know my little bean is doing okay and growing as they are meant to (as I'm sure we all feel) so counting down these 5 weeks. Plus I really hope there's just 1 in my womb!!

I'm always surprised by people who go public that early. I guess some people are just more public with stuff in general, but I was happy to not have to tell the world when I miscarried. I definitely won't annnounce on fb unless I make it out of the first tri.
