I started with a personal trainer, and I'm trying to lose weight, but it's weird with breast feeding. I don't know how many calories I need for that.
I've lost 40 lbs since DD was born 6 weeks ago, and all of that was without any effort. It stalled out last week, and I am thinking weight watchers? I only gained 17 lbs while pregnant, so I'm actually fairly pleased with how things are going. I gained a lot of weight from fertility meds though, so I still want to lose another 20 lbs.

I'm 4 weeks out and my weight loss has stalled. Probably due to me eating like a teenage boy.
My plan is to start walking this week. Hopefully tomorrow. Food wise I'm not going to get too crazy with anything. Just cut out the extras... no more coffee creamer, maybe only eat 2 cookies per day instead of 5, limit sweets and fried foods... and see where that takes me. I may just go back to the GD diet.
My goal is to start running and do PiYo again. I would rather focus on the exercise portion than the diet even though abs are made in the kitchen and all that.
I go to my PP appt Wednesday, so I'm hoping to be cleared for full-blown exercise. I've been running short distances at a time, but I'd really like to get a couple of longer runs in per week. I tried today, and even though I'd been feeling better, I still throbbed from mastitis, so I'm going to hold off. I love the 21 DF videos and they are the perfect length for a quick workout, so I'm rotating them in as well!
I'd love to be able to fit into my pre-pregnancy shorts by June, but that may be unrealistic. It has been my experience that my body holds onto some weight while BF and I am more lean once I've weaned my LOs. So, that could be 11 months from now.
@justinslovo that's awesome! How exactly do you join? I'd def be interested.
muskiefan thanks! I think most of it was just pregnancy stuff I didn't gain. (The baby, fluid, more blood...) I was also at my all time high as far as weight goes before pregnancy....
With that being said- my body is just "different now." I have HUGE boobs, and a soft lower stomach. I'm trying to figure out how to dress!
What is a 30df video?
My Mom is coming to watch the baby tomorrow AM, and my plan is to attend a boxing class.
Do you guys want to have some sort of weekly check-in?
I'm only two weeks PP, so no crazy workouts for me yet. I'm focusing on taking a walk every day and trying to make healthy snack choices (you know, minus the two sugar cookies I ate today). I know from last go-'round that my supply tanks when I don't eat enough calories, so I'll have to figure out that part in the next few weeks. I lost a big chunk of weight doing Jenny Craig 12 years ago, so I am tempted to try that again.
Once I'm cleared to exercise again, I'm going to do Stroller Strides.
I didn't gain a lot with this pregnancy so it's gone now that baby is here. The bad part is that I was at my all time high when I got pregnant and I have a lot to lose. I had supply issues with DS and haven't been able to pump much extra yet either (that I'll need when I go back to work) so for now I'm eating all things. I hope to get back into a walking and yoga routine soon and will start making cleaner food choices once my supply is okay.

My goal is just to lose the remaining pounds I gained while pregnant by 6 months post partum. But if I'm honest, I weighed much more than my ideal when I got pregnant and I'd like to lose a bit more.
For now, I'm walking a lot with the dog (and to get DD to sleep). I should make some healthier meal choices. Like my ongoing cookie problem. If I can swap to eating oatmeal for breakfast and mix the brewers yeast into that, maybe I'll knock it off with the baking. I should also stop getting mochas instead of coffee or a plain latte.
@justinslovo That's a huge bummer! I did the program they have for pregnant moms and really enjoyed it. I can't believe I didn't known about it before!
moutonrouge I also have a "cookie problem." The lactation cookies are so good!
Is anyone else worried about peeing themselves during jumping jacks and burpees, or is that just me? Eeks!

bookish I can only do a few jumping jacks in a row now. In my prenatal fitness class they showed us a modification where you just step out with alternating legs and do a bit of a squat, instead of jumping. With burpees, you can just go up on your toes.
I'm a runner but haven't run at all since my BFP thanks to PGAL brain. I'm dying to get back out there, not only for the weight loss but because it really benefits my mental health. The biggest issue I have is time. I'm home with two kiddos most of the time and unless they nap at the same time, I don't really have a lot of options. I'm looking forward to when F is old enough for the jogging stroller or the gym childcare.
Also, I'm one of those people whose body annoyingly holds onto about 10 pounds of baby weight while I'm breastfeeding. So I'm going to really need to focus on the non-scale victories until I wean.

It depends on their size and neck control. They have to sit mostly upright in it and the bumps can be pretty jarring so not for awhile. I think I started using it around 9 months with DS?

With DS1, I got the jogging stroller go ahead from the ped at 6 months, but I don't know if that is the rec for all babies or if it was because that's when he started sitting on his own.

DS1 didn't start sitting on his own until 8ish months so that makes sense. I'll have to ask my pedi about it. I'm hoping to use it as soon as possible this time.
I'm just trying to eat better. Tried to go for a walk yesterday but only made it one house down before all the neighbors came out. That was nice though i was still on my feet for a while.
I set my fitbit up again, I'd taken it off sometime in the first trimester when I wasn't walking enough steps in a day because of all the naps. It was judging me.
I'm going to start walking every day and tracking all of my food. I have stalled out 10 lbs more than my pre pregnancy weight, add that to the weight I needed to lose before I got pregnant and I've got some work to do. While I'm BF I'm going to focus on upping my activity rather than slashing my calories.
I love having this thread Quinstar I literally loled at Fitbit judging. I have one and felt the same way.
Afm, I'm still 15lb above preprrgnancy weight at 3w but like some of you I was at a high weight before bfp. I gained like 25 lb just ttc so I have a ways to go. I would like to get as close to my normal weight as possible by the time I start clinical rotations because I will have zero time once they start. That's 2.5 mo the away. I didn't lose easily last time breastfeeding so who knows. I really want to at least start running again and do it long enough to enjoy it
My goal is to finish losing from my original weight. I have a loose goal weight of 160-170lbs.
As far as weights I've had to scale back the amount I'm able to lift because of all the pregnancy complications that made me stop. Cardio is where I really struggle though. I probably won't do much cardio until Z is less needy.
Only 9 days pp so I'm still milking that as my excuse to not exercise. Last time I wasn't working out before my bfp and didn't start a fitness program until 6 months pp, but then i lost the weight from dd1 plus another 10lbs on the 21 day fix. Then I got lazy and gained 7lbs back just before this bfp. My goal this time is to start the 21df again as soon as I'm cleared to. I LOVED the workouts and the eating plan and was able to do that while maintaining my supply.
Quinstar I felt judged and totally stopped putting on my Apple Watch because I wasn't meeting any of my steps/activity goals. No shame.
You can reset your goal at any point during the week now! I had stopped wearing mine because I had it set to pregnancy goals (500 cal/day) and knew that would be impossible in the first few weeks. I played around with it and reset my cal goal to 300 and it stayed there for the first few weeks! I just upped it to 400 so now I'm trying to keep up!
The stand reminder can go f itself, though.
caer do you have a dreadmill? That has been such a difference maker for me. (H has a gym at his work and was able to connect with the commercial treadmill person his work uses, so it ended up working great for us.)
I do muskiefan. It's in our basement. I'll be honest and say I hate it but it's better than nothing. If I can ever get both kids to nap at the same time, I can use it!
Only 2 weeks out so for right now I'm focusing on walking and building supply, so eating what I want when I want it haha. After 6 weeks I'll get into exercising and limiting treats. My goal is to lose the baby weight by 9 months, although earlier would obviously be great. It took 9 months with DS which I was happy with and since I gained less this time I'm hoping it can maybe be a bit faster. I'm not willing to compromise milk supply though and BFing seems to make me hang on to weight instead of losing it (didn't lose much until DS started solids and was no longer EBF) so we'll see.

While the stars have aligned and both kids are napping I'll post haha
I'm 5.5 weeks pp and and now feeling like I totally emotionally eat and can tell the treats are all just to make me happy.
So I am planning on going back to a keto based diet, no calorie counting to keep my supply up, all about the types of foods I eat and also doing a C25k once I get cleared and the weather improves a bit.
I'm part of a fb group called Moms run this town (Mrtt) they're everywhere too so check your state/town, and have met some great ladies willing to start walking and then have our kids play at the park after since we all have strollers. Hopefully it will help get me back to jogging a bit. Also considering piyo for strength and flexibility, my back is always killing me so my core definitely needs work.
I think for Mother's Day I'll splurge on a good sports bra I've been eyeing that's good for nursing and some fun active wear.
