Did anyone else start having sleep problems when starting solids? Not sure if it's coincidence, but since starting solids 1x a day, LO is suddenly waking 4-5x a night. She's also pooping at night again, so I'm wondering if it's all related.
We started pooping again in the middle of the night after we started food! After about 2 months he's stopped and sleeps through the night again!
How many oz of food do you serve you LO for lunch. I'm currently giving 2 oz of purees to daycare and they said she is still hungry and wants more. I gave her 4 oz this weekend for lunch and she wasn't interested in her bottle and had one less feeding. I've read that most of her calories should be from milk what should I do (I don't want to waste formula).

I nurse about an hour before lunch and then she gets 3.5oz of food and some puffs. Same for every meal.
So I fed puffs for the first time the other day. Went pretty good but not too sure if she really likes the apple ones. What flavors does everyone else's kids like?
We are doing the Plum brand blueberry sweet potato ones. He loves them.

We do gerber banana flavored puffs or the veggie ones that look like white Cheetos.
Discovered tonight that DS will eat the Beechnut sugar snap peas but not the peas I make. To me, the jarred ones smell and look way more gross, but whatever, at least he ate 'em.
Also gave him a sippy with water tonight and DS1 says "Mama, the doctor says he can't have water!" He remembered from the 4 month appt when she said no water until 6 months. I didn't even think he was paying any attention, never mind that he'd recall that she said that.

So DS had solid food at daycare for the first time today. I sent 2-2.5 oz jars and told them it usually takes me about 2 days to get through one 2.5 oz jar. My mom picked him up tonight and called me at work to say DC said to send 2 more jars tomorrow because he ate them all today.
I guess he does better when he doesn't have my headlights in his face while he's trying to eat solids.
They're little snacks that dissolve easily in a baby's mouth so there's not much of a choking hazard. There are a few different brands they sell at grocery stores, Target, BRU, etc.

I have no idea. I'm still terrified of them. Like, I almost have a panic attack when i give her one for fear of choking. I know it's an irrational fear, but it's real. And sadly, I think the only thing that will ease my mind is continuing to offer them to her.

Am I the only one with this obsessive fear?!
No I'm terrified of choking too. I remember loving the puffs with my daughter but thought she was closer to one year when we offered them.

I was worried at first too but she just mulls them in her mouth until they are soft and then swallows them. ?
I struggle between helicopter Mom and give her the container and let her feed herself type parenting. So I poured them on her tray and watched in horror as she shoveled them into her mouth by what looked like handfuls. Most of them just stuck to her hands, fell down the front of the bumbo seat, or if she flung her hands them end up as dog food on the floor. In the end, she ate them all.
Maybe we should get a dog. Now way would my cats eat them.

FWIW, I give her 5-10 depending on how many other things she's eating. Yesterday, I gave her 5 to play with while I did dishes, and was surprised to turn around and see no more on her tray. When I went to investigate, she had 2 in one hand and 3 in the other. I think about .5 of one ended up in her mouth, but it turns out the dog really likes them
We just started puffs.. He's getting really good at chewing then swallowing.. He's now had banana and avocado without any gagging or choking! I credit the puffs for teaching him how to chew.

I want to try a little BLW and also worry about choking. The fear is real.
Samsies. I'm terrified of him choking.
On another note: Choking looks so weird when it's spelled out
I bought puffs 2 weeks ago...but they're still sitting in our pantry. I think they worry me because they say how they're for crawlers and we're not there yet...

Same! I've given DD a couple. But like I said, I have a panic attack when I give them to her. I fear that I'm going to be one of those over-worrier moms.
surfmama106 She is ADORABLE with all that hair!! I'm with ladytiffany24 - I'll probably be helicopter Mom the first few times because I'm worried he'll chock on them....
