Ok, weird random...would an inside baby being TOO active be a concern? I am literally getting beat up today. I had a day like this on Saturday too and then Sunday/Monday we were very quiet which is what caused me to call the Dr. After what I'm going through today, I wouldn't be surprised if the kid slept for the next 3 weeks.
I actually asked a similar question today because I read in What to Expect to call your doc if baby's movements seem frantic/erratic. But hers are almost always pretty crazy and twitchy.
My OB said he wouldn't know why the book would say that and they only get concerned if there is noticeably less movement than normal.

Yeah, what is considered erratic? It is all so random.
Am I supposed to call when I have 5-1-1 contractions? Or when they're painful enough to where it's hard to talk? Or when chugging water, changing positions, and walking around does nothing to help? Ahhhh! Too many variables.

when in doubt, call. Better to call over nothing than to not call over something.
Just got through all of the randoms for today. Too many to tag but today seems like it was rough... Hugs to everyone and FX for outside babies to those who are ready!
kaeguri, I'd probably call with any ONE of those main variables just to see what the doctor says.... keep us posted!
I have all 3 haha. Averaging 3 min apart, started at 1 min long and they're getting up to 2 min long now. I called and they told me to wait till they're all painful enough to where I can't walk or talk through them. Some of them are, but most I can still talk through. Send me labor juju!

zonagirl Definitely make sure to have another ultrasound to confirm.
Also research family centered/ gently c sections. Unless it's an emergency there's no reason those things can't be done. If I need another one things will be very different this time

Re: people's spending habits
I figure it's not my business until they ask me for money. Then I can say no and bitch. Other than that...their money business isn't my concern and mine isn't anyone's concern, either.
I'll stop there because the topic makes me a little stabby. I never planned to be SAH and struggling, but it's how it is. I don't ever ask for money, but I know there's people (including my mother) sitting back and looking at every dollar I spend and worrying about my financial situation.
Still contracting. They're super painful when I'm walking around, but are barely painful if I sit. I was walking around but then the back cramps got to be too much so I sat down and now nothing hurts that bad, just tolerable. Ugh. This might be a loooooong night. I'm worried I'm going to wait too long, my pain tolerance is pretty high. Then again, this might be nothing at all. Either way, I have a check up tomorrow at noon so I'm probably just going to wait til then. Stupid contractions.
Putting DS to bed (he is in the toddler bed) I sat on the floor and rubbed his back. He reached out his little hand, snuggled with his "dog-dog" in the other and rubbed my belly.. I would be lying if I said I didn't get a little weepy. It was so sweet. Gah I love my tiny human.
I don't think it is a concern, but ask your MW or doctor.
DD used to shove her heels up into my ribs and just press on them. And this baby appears to be all elbows and knees. DH is thrilled because he wants our kids to love jujitsu like he does and he likes to pretend the heel hooks and the shrimping are all signs of future grapplers. Both kids are/were little acrobats in there and my MW has always been happy about that.
DH refers to this one as a prize fighter. STM+ moms can you recall if movements reflected later personalities, I don't really remember DD being this violent. And she is and always has been very mellow.
We joke that DS started moving in utero and never stopped. He was crazy active before he was born and doesn't ever really sit still now. Even if he's on my lap watching TV, one of his feet is usually bouncing around at least a little. I was actually hopeful that because this baby was a bit less active, she might be more chill than her brother.

Hugs to all those who need them today. I finally read through the whole thread and it looks like it was a tough one for many.
I had a productive day around the house. Finally caught up on laundry and got some maternity leave work done. Feeling quite thankful for AC during this high humidity!
kaeguri, lots of labor juju your direction! Are they wrapping around your back?
Yup. My back hurts worse than the front right now. I can actually time my back contractions better than I can the abdomen ones. Boo. Im just gonna wait it out til my appt tomorrow unless it gets really bad.
kcebeling I am so sorry - your analysis of the response makes a lot of sense. I have a tendency to replay situations and dilemmas a lot as it is, but this seems so irrational - almost on hyperdrive. Or maybe too rational? Thanks so much.
For the reasons @piedpiper07 gives, I'll create a PPD/PPA thread here in the Aug 15 BMB - we're all going through postpartum together and have already built up a network of support, so I think that makes sense.

Don't quote me, cuz I could be wrong...but I'm thinking you've got something going on there lady.
oopsiedaisies, did your DD love her new book shelves?
Yes! I told her to come to her room with me, so I could show her something, and she turned, saw them set up, and said MY BOOKS!! Then proceeded to pull down a couple and sat on the floor and read. I love that its on her level, and she can see what they all are, without pulling them all out of the bookshelf.

That is too precious.
Yeah the back labor is the only reason I think these may be something. Also, moving around makes them worse. Weeee this is fun.
