I think we're prepared. We've got a house full of food, our tank is full of oil, C's got a sled and a snowsuit, and our generator is ready to go if need be. Honestly we've barely had any snow yet this winter, so I guess we're due.
We're all getting out of the house today since we assume we'll be snowed in tomorrow. If this storm is as bad as they're saying, it may be a few days before I can get out and run again. Which means I'll say fuck it, wear soft pants, and make brownies.
Stay safe and warm, northeast mamas! I have to admit I wish we could get a storm so I could stay inside and wear pajamas for a few days. We got a few inches of snow here this morning and it just made for a really shitty drive to work.
V woke up super early today - 4 am. She had a huge poop that was filled with raisins. So smelly and gross. She was refusing all food last night at dinner except raisins, so I guess I should have seen that coming.
We're ready here! Fridge and cabinets are overflowing with food. We started Fringe last night (kellykinns-- you liked it, right?). and school called a snow day already for MH. I'm in clean new PJs and ready to stay house bound.

*HUGS* tgrimes1980 I think this is a harder transition on the parents than the kiddos. Just think of all the fun things she will get to do now that the tiny babies aren't holding her back!!
Cadence came to bed with me at 1:30, but slept until 6 so I see it as a win. Normally she is all over the place, but I put a pillow barricade and was able to sleep better knowing it was there, plus it seemed to stop her from moving as much. The spot on her forehead where I was sure there would be a bruise looked completely normal this morning, but her eye was a little swollen. I still feel horrible about it. She went to dc, but I told MH to tell the teacher if she starts behaving differently than normal than to call me immediately.
We fall in the 2+ feet zone for this storm. The town I live in has a lake, so we get the "lake effect" and usually end up with significantly more snow than the surrounding areas, so it wouldn't surprise me if our totals were closer to 3 feet. DH is at a conference this week, so I'm on my own with E, and I have a stomach bug. Can't wait. After just spending a full week with my parents, I really don't want more QT with them, but I may give in and spend the next few nights at their place so I'm not alone with E during this storm.
I cried when I dropped Mara off at daycare today. She's not supposed to move to the toddler room until Monday, but Friday they told me she'd be spending time in there this week to get acclimated. I took her to the baby room and the toddler teacher came and took her real fast. I know she's excited to get Mara since they all fight over her, but I thought I had until Monday to deal with this!
It's a sad transition, but she will have so much fun in the toddler room!!!
Should we not be giving our babies chips? I mean, B doesn't get a steady diet of them or anything, but he loves nacho cheese doritos if he can mooch one or two. Guess that is my FFMC:) Also, B had mini-Teddy Grahams while I was making his breakfast b/c we were out of cheerios. FFMC #2.
One of my girlfriends stopped by this morning to try on some clothes I was getting rid of with her two LOs. It forced me to get up and get going, which is nice. Bed is made, I'm halfway dressed, and about to put together dinner in the crock-pot.

Stay warm and safe, everyone!
Putting purees on chips is so something my husband would do. Seriously. I found out that his first food wasn't sweet potato like I'd thought, it was mustard. Mustard?!?!?!

Also, we totally give C tortilla chips if we are out and we ordered something that came with them. It's better than hearing, "More? More? MORE? MOOORRRREEEEEEEEEE??"
Anyone who wants more snow is welcome to drive to my house and shovel the front walkway for me.
Thank god for plow companies.
Kama, I'm sorry you guys are still going through the ringer.
E ate more chips and cookies over vacation than I care to admit. I feel slightly better about it because this morning he sat in my lap and ate an entire pear, like a big boy. I was cracking up watching him chow down with his little hands around the huge pear, with all the juice dribbling down his chin.
People keep telling me that C is thinning out. He still looks like a chunky monkey to me.
You may be getting a lot of random thoughts from me today. People are super weird around here right before a storm, so it's barely worth attempting to work.

Do you have a backpack for your LO? I was looking at the PBK ones and was wondering if I should get the mini or the small..... We no longer cart bottles or food to the dc, but every Monday and Friday we have her blanket and sheet for nap time. Not sure if it is actually worth getting her a backpack for, but I think it would look stinkin' cute.

We have a daycare backpack for him. It has random things in it.. BInky's extra outfits just in case. And we can take home his projects in it. It's full size so we carry it but it is adorable. I got it from personalcreations.com It has his name on it and a dog.
Guster how are you liking Fringe. The first season is one of the better seasons. untaggablekatie I think my DH would do that if he had thought of it. I just warned him that a nacho chip is not a good delivery method of food to our 1 year old.
We're only 3 episodes in, but I like the pseudo- science part of it. And Pacey, of course.
