DS is down. Immediately rolled onto his belly. SIGH. Mommy's going to be up all night, worrying.
My mom likes to tell me that God won't take my husband AND my baby and no amount of yelling IM AGNOSTIC at her makes her stop.
Ugh. Sorry but minor TP to your mom. I get she is just trying to reassure you (and I'm sure he is going to be just fine) but I hate the "God won't do such and such" crap.
You can give her a major TP if you want. I hate when she says that. Her faith doesn't cancel out science but whatever.
I need to do this with a onesie my friend gave to LO. She got it because it has a hippo on it, but it's a boy's onesie, and it's obvious (the sleeves are more t-shirt-ish and square). It's adorable, but it's meant for a boy.
DS got a cute outfit with a hippo but it's meant for a girl! It has ruffles on the butt. Even if he was a girl, no to ruffles on the butt.
Definitely easier for girls to get away with wearing boy stuff, haha. I just don't want her to wear it out. It bothers me way too much when people think she's a boy while wearing pink and flowers, I don't need to give them fuel to think she's a boy.
I had a crazy day so I am still on page 2 of randoms.
My kids' pediatrician sent us a bill for a visit my son didn't have that they already billed insurance for and a flu shot that he didn't receive. I went and got his records to see what they used to bill these visits and there is completely made up records. They put in a fake weight and temp and everything. I called my insurance company and reported the situation to them so they can investigate. I had already talked to billing, but to me this is more than just a billing mistake if they made up vitals. I will be transferring care immediately.
We got counter offers back on our house but our realtor sent them to us at 4 and said she was heading to an appointment so she can't talk to us about them until the morning. She also wants us to come to her office which means dh has to rearrange his schedule for the second time this week. He could also get in trouble if his boss finds out he is away from his computer.
With everything going on I am so frustrated and stressed. I told dh to watch the kids and I went for a nice long walk around the neighborhood to calm down.
In good news, my cousin had her baby this morning. Yea!
Yay for the baby! Hope you get a chance to de-stress soon!
Go to sleep baby!! I just want to eat my culvers ice cream that DH brought home but instead in sitting on the nursery floor rocking dds RNP and on our third round of baby got colic.
FFTC? I kinda like Kate Gosselin. I'm watching Kate Plus 8 and she makes me laugh. John Gosselin was a doucheface though.
Me too. I'm watching it and thinking she should get some credit for dealing with 8 kids on her own. Plus, that Maddy is still an obnoxious child and she should be congratulated for not sending her to an orphanage or something.
DH took a huge chunk out of dd's thumb while cutting her nails. He had no idea why she started screaming bloody murder and was like "don't worry mommy will feed you soon" meanwhile I'm like... no dude.. not her hungry cry. He feels like crap. Poor baby already feels crummy with her cough and now the thumb.
Does anyone else get ready in the morning and try to slightly coordinate LOs clothes with their own?
I'm not like "oh, let's both wear the pants with the racoon on the butt". But I like the colors to be complimentary if possible. I'd rather not be wearing bright red on a day he's wearing neon green and look like Christmas puked on us or something.
As long as you don't take it too far. I have a coworker that used to always wear the same color as her daughter so that if she got kidnapped she would remember what color she was wearing. She did this till her daughter was in fourth grade.
If anyone needs a good laugh, check out Cupcakes and Cashmere. It's been a favorite hate read of mine for some time, but it's become exceptionally hatable since the writer became pregnant. A recent "what's in my hospital bag" post includes things like perfume, episodes of the good wife, and a "pillow that's supposed to work miracles during nursing time." She refers to things like baby blankets and mittens as "accoutrements" Oh, you mean those things that get shit on all the time? And my favorite part... "I’ve pre-made some chocolate chip cookie dough and they’re in the freezer waiting for labor to hit. Once those contractions come, these guys are getting popped into the oven for just a couple minutes. If I’m going to be in pain, might as well have the smell of cookies baking wafting through the house."
I don't know about the rest of you, but once labor hit I had a hard time smelling food without puking or even getting off the toilet long enough to walk my ass to the kitchen and bake some cookies.
Oh my gosh I was damn hungry! I begged the dr to eat and they let me order food. Once the contractions got about 3 min apart I was like hell with this

UGH. DD1's temp is up to 101. This sucks. I can tell it's affecting her, too. So. elfing. pissed. with DH's family. Almost makes me want to ask them every time before going over if anyone is sick.
darwinfish and pnwlover12 -- Thanks for the recs. The 20 oz he's getting is over about 10 hours. Doing a combo of formula and bf is totally confusing sometimes. I'm sending more tomorrow ... Why don't these things come with instruction manuals?

Same. Does he ever make you go with him? Last time DH and I were at the driving range I just played with the cat that hangs out there.
Pre-34 weeks of pregnancy we would play together every Friday evening, and I walked with him after 24 weeks or so. At our club only the primary member can play weekend mornings, so he plays early sat&sun and I used to join him after lunch, or we would meet at the pool.
I actually enjoy golf and used to take lessons, but i have to be in the right frame of mind for us to play together, otherwise I prefer to golf with colleagues.
That's awesome. I wish I could like it for his sake. But I suck.
I have sort of caught up syllessa I'm so glad you're back windwithfingers I hope you get some sleep tonight! nicb13 I've never had the courage for boudoir pictures. Rock on, lady.
I was feeling really good about DD's weight gain right? Today we went to visit a friend who has a little guy 5 days younger than DD and it totally shot my confidence. I know know KNOW that you should never compare babies but it is so HARD.

It's probably better for your marriage. We can only play together if I'm in an awesome mood and can deal with playing like crap, otherwise I end up walking off the course in a huff, and go straight for the pool bar.

Oh yes, all the time.
Most "matchy" I've been was about 2 years ago with DD1 (sorry, terrible pic):

Question about day care. For those of you who get "report cards" of feedings, naps, etc from your day care. Are you keeping those, or do you toss them? Just curious...

That is seriously fucked up and fraud to boot. I would make that info known far and wide if it turns out to be true. Liars and cheaters always get caught.

We put a fussy S in his crib around 845 for him to to spend some time in there, assuming we would have to take him out and put him in the swing shortly. Well, he babbled and moved around until 10ish, and has been sleeping ever since!!!!! I'm not ready for this!!!!!! I like falling asleep to my little guy. I'll move him in here after his next feeding, but...... I can't believe he's sleeping in there!

jesslynnsell - That seems like overkill to me. But o could probably just empty his dresser and be like "where the fuck is the 'handsome' onesie! He must be wearing it!"

I keep mine in a folder -- but I'm not really sure why.
