Question about day care. For those of you who get "report cards" of feedings, naps, etc from your day care. Are you keeping those, or do you toss them? Just curious...
Mine is a notebook that dcp writes in everyday and I can leave notes for her as well. I'm sure once the book is full it'll get thrown away.
jesslynnsell - That seems like overkill to me. But o could probably just empty his dresser and be like "where the fuck is the 'handsome' onesie! He must be wearing it!"
Totally thought about that, but it's a 0-3 month that barely fits my 12 pound baby... so not gonna fit her 20lb hunk of cuteness!

Theo started yelling in his room- DH and I were listening over the baby monitor. "go away! Me go to sleep now. Stop! Get out my room- go away!" So, thinking it's a cat trapped in the boys' room, I got up to let the kitty out. No kitty. I asked him who he was talking to, and he just said, "Bad man." "You need your batman blanket?" "No, bad man loud. He scare me."
I checked all over his room, checked the windows, and double checked that the doors wore bolted. Way to creep Mom out, kid. Doubt I'll get much sleep tonight.

I keep them for a week so I can look at how the whole week went and then 8 chuck em. I don't need 200 plus little slips of paper.
Daycare is asking for more food again -- not sure what to do. On the one hand, 4 oz every two hours (what he currently gets, usually split between 2 bm bottles and 3 formula bottles) already seems like a lot based off the recommendation of 2.5 oz of formula/pound (he's 11 lb 4 oz as of last week) and the fact that he bf at home multiple times per night and in the morning before we leave. On the other hand, dude needs to gain weight...
Is my perception of how much he should be eating totally off? Knock some sense into me if needed, please.
I'd send more. If he's hungry and he needs to gain a bit, it might just be his body growing and catching up. Kids are too different to stick to the guidelines too closely, IMO.
UGH. DD1's temp is up to 101. This sucks. I can tell it's affecting her, too. So. elfing. pissed. with DH's family. Almost makes me want to ask them every time before going over if anyone is sick.

GAH. No bueno. I'd be like "Wanna sleep with Mommy and Daddy tonight?" haha.
Guise. I'm taking a class about social roles in society and we were asked to discuss why we think women now initiate divorce more than men do. This is what someone responded to my statement with:
"I agree with you on how surprising it is that women initiate emote divorces then men do. Women want to keep there child or children no matter what and i think a lt has to do with they birthed them. i think you hit your point spot on! Good job."
..erm....WAT?
Is the class online? My graduate classes were online. You really get a sense of how dumb some of your classmates are when they have to respond to everything in writing. I was always like... we're getting the same degree? Shaking my head.

This! So much this! I thought the exact saw thing when I got my MA. People are idiots!

Hanging on to them about a week. Really no point though. Then recycle.

Yep. It is painful! I'm not perfect with grammar and spelling all the time, but c'mon now.

Well that's creepy! I probably wouldn't be able to sleep.
I'm sitting here bawling because I just learned that one of my grandparents cats was killed on the highway they live on today. RIP sweet Max, you were a good kitty.
S just woke up (!!!!!!) and DH is feeding him since he now has to start getting ready to having his sleep interrupted since I return to work in s few weeks, and we will be alternating MOTN feedings.
My rainbow arrived 10/15/14.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs.
TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.

I think kids sometimes eat more at daycare because there is so much activity that they use up more energy. This is also why they tend to sleep better there. I would always rather send extra food than not enough. Do they give you a report telling you how much he is eating and how often?
I am irrationally upset about the fact that SkyMall has filed bankruptcy. I'm going to go talk to my pillow about that. See you notches tomorrow.
Do you buy stuff from them? I didn't think anyone did which would explain the bankruptcy. They always had cool stuff but I just didn't trust ordering from them.
I have sort of caught up syllessa I'm so glad you're back windwithfingers I hope you get some sleep tonight! nicb13 I've never had the courage for boudoir pictures. Rock on, lady.
I was feeling really good about DD's weight gain right? Today we went to visit a friend who has a little guy 5 days younger than DD and it totally shot my confidence. I know know KNOW that you should never compare babies but it is so HARD.
I'm totally in the same boat. Ds was 9lb 4 oz at birth and 14 lbs at his 2 month checkup but today while I was waiting for records at the pediatrician a 4 month old girl came in and she was easily double ds weight. I think he's longer but way smaller. I started to question if he is gaining enough.
No, both my boys had appts that day but they cancelled ds1 the day of and then when we got there with ds2 they said they could see ds1 too but we told them we didn't need him to be seen anyway. Dh carried him in because he was sleeping and he woke up while we were there. The dr suggested our two older kids get their flu shots while we were there but ds1 had already received his 2 months before. They billed insurance for a visit and billed us for a flu shot. I was curious how they would bill insurance without medical records so I requested my son's records for that time period and they have fake vitals and a very brief note basically saying he is better. I could understand a billing error but falsifying records is too much for me.
Over a year ago they accidentally gave ds1 an extra vaccine because they didn't realize they had already done it. Luckily it didn't cause any issues and I thought it was an isolated incident and have kept a closer eye on what vaccines they are giving to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Creepy! I would have moved him in my room because that would have freaked me out. Both my boys currently sleep in my room. Flame away! I still like having ds2 near me and ds1 is afraid of the dark ever since someone turned our power off one night. He was coming in and sleeping on the floor every night so finally we just put his bed in our room. Eventually he won't be so afraid of the dark at this house and we will move him back to his room.

You know what hurts? Chemical burn on the lady bits. I use Veet instead of shaving, and I accidentally left it on for a minute too long. Now it's like sitting on a hot stove every time I need to pee.
Fftc? One time I wanted to be adventurous with dh and I got these different kinds of lubes that were heating and tingling and stuff like that. I put one on him and it literally burned him. That totally killed the mood...for a loooong time!

Nope! Just enjoyed looking at all if the ridiculous stuff. I'm not surprised that they are bankrupt, just sad I won't get to look at the magazine anymore.
Does anyone else get ready in the morning and try to slightly coordinate LOs clothes with their own?
I'm not like "oh, let's both wear the pants with the racoon on the butt". But I like the colors to be complimentary if possible. I'd rather not be wearing bright red on a day he's wearing neon green and look like Christmas puked on us or something.
As long as you don't take it too far. I have a coworker that used to always wear the same color as her daughter so that if she got kidnapped she would remember what color she was wearing. She did this till her daughter was in fourth grade.
So this is a good tip that my sister told me. You know those annoying camera people that want to take your photo at the zoo or amusement parks? Always let them take youe family photo. That way, if any kid wanders off or is grabbed (God forbid), you have a very current photo and know exactly what they are wearing. I thought that was genius.

We got Theo a flashlight when he has issues going to bed because of the dark. Worked perfectly!
