I'm just here with pregsonmia. I am loving reading about your trials and tribulations with BFing and pumping though. I'm sure I will have many questions once I'm there.
Eta- not that I'm glad you are having issues and need help!! But all the advice given is super helpful.
The nurses and doc said mine are normal, but I'm in so much pain! And now that it's been almost a week, I'm wondering how long is normal to be like this.
I just installed the carseat base. At 4:45 am. But honestly, that's probably more like 9/10pm for normal people But it's in and it doesn't move!
Other than that, I'm trying to decide what I still need to buy to maximize my completion discounts. I've been getting most of my big things using 20% off coupons at Buy Buy Baby, so there's really just "little" things I need and I know I'll forget something. What am I probably forgetting?

Ah this thread makes me happy it's not motn anymore but I'm glad I' found thisb will be issuing soon. Were still in the hospital. Baby girl developed some pretty good jaundice. Hoping to go home today. Last dlblood draw her number and dropped. Hoping the one they just did dropped again and she can come off the lights. Then we try to maintain that number. If that happens we can go home. Peanut is really enjoying her tanning and has snoozed all day.

DS's bilirubin levels were low enough for him to get off the bili blanket yesterday! So thankful. southernbelle, how high did her bili levels get? We've had a hard time getting his down since we've been having nursing issues.

Mine were SUPER swollen up until probably yesterday, so about a week PP. My ankles are still a little swollen, but it's not nearly as bad. Hopefully your swelling goes down soon.

Is it fluid retention? Would compression stockings help?
I have been using some, but it only helps a small amount. I was hoping there's a magic cure lol.

We are trying to get DS in his own room, since we only have 2 weeks. Lots of MOTN wake ups last night. Wish I could play on my phone, but I lights are a distraction.

15.6 and based on how many hours old she was that was considered in the high risk range. We got discharged this morning. It dropped to 10

Gotcha. Alex got up to 19, but he's down to 15 now. Glad to see YD's levels have gone down!

This was me as well, I was shocked how long it held on but by about a week, it was much better. I kept them elevated overnight as much as possible and that made a big difference.

My baby girl slept all day could barely wake her up for feelings. Tonight: she's been up every hour screaming and wanting to eat or be held! CanI switch the nights with the days?!
Stopping in to say HI!! Huge belly = too uncomfortable to sleep anymore. I cannot wait until I can roll over without having to do it in stages because it hurts so much. Plus, the squish. I know you mommas are tired but I can't wait to hold my baby.

Rolling over in bed and baby cuddles make the exhaustion on this side much more bearable. Hang in there!!

Love tit for commiseration. This has been us the past 2 nights. Thankfully she usually settles down again around 3 am and will sleep until 7. I never thought 4 hours of sleep could be so magical.

Isn't 4 hours considered STTN? Or is it 6? I can't remember. Either way, it's a joke lol.
I think it is 5-6. 6 hours of sleep sounds like heaven right now.
Hugs @tmg14 I'm pretty sure I'll be in your shoes soon with an d sibling whining & baby crying.
AFM just thought I'd say hello! I think I caught DD's cold. I took 2 Benadryl over an hour ago & I'm still not asleep! And DD just wet the bed so I got to change her sheets. That's what I get for pushing fluids since she's sick.
My turn to have a breakdown today. Between DD's whining and stubbornness, DS's crying during said whining, and also trying to leave the house during all this, i started sobbing this evening. I feel irrationally upset with my husband too, for really no reason. I'm so happy to be in bed.
DD1 has been a nightmare for the last month- all if the old discipline is no longer working (we used to just threaten timeouts or start counting down to them and she would correct, now she just yells no). It's a very good thing for me that she's going to daycare during the week. I'm very thankful that none of it is directed at Gracie, I expected there would be jealousy but she thinks she's the greatest thing ever. I'm hoping that some of it is just dealing with change and will get better as we find our new normal, but the thought that my newborn is the easy one right now is just mind boggling!
Hey y'all. Big hugs to @tmg14 and everyone else who needs. I feel kinda disconnected from you guys lately, brain is too fried to do anything other than give virtual hugs. Oh well, I know you understand
We just got the rest of our newborn pics back! Will share soon.

Squishy622 Now please! Because I'm sure you're not busy or anything.
Oh boy... Little guy is not wanting to sleep in bassinet but doesn't want to nurse. Just wants to be held. Really hoping to avoid co-sleeping...
We are having this same issue and it's really wearing me out. Baby won't sleep in his crib and just wants to snuggle constantly. I absolutely love the snuggles, but I'm too anxious to let myself sleep with him on me. He finally napped for a few very short stretches in his bouncer today, so I was able to get unglued from the rocker which was amazing. But for MOTN, that's not a safe place for him to sleep while I sleep, right? I know this won't last forever, but the whole "sleep when baby sleeps" thing doesn't work when baby won't sleep without being held.
I have the same issue. I've finally been able to get him to sleep in his Mamroo instead of my arms during the day, but I don't do it overnight. He ends up sleeping in my arms at night in the recliner. I want to get him transitioned because I desperately miss my bed. I'm hoping we can get him transitioned to his bed this week.

CharlieB if he will sleep in a bouncer, i see no problem in letting him sleep there at night as long as he can't fall out. I know kids who slept in swings for months. Rnp worked for my last kid but I really wanted to try a bassinet first.
