E woke up with a cold today. She's passed out on the floor right now. Normally she'll go to the gate and say "up" when she wants her morning nap, but she fell asleep reading her book instead. I'm tempted to curl up next to her and nap with her. I have to go take pictures of the sled dog races for work today and I don't want to leave her. My mom will be home though, so she's just going to hang out with gramma while I go take pictures. It's a lot of fun and it's cool to see how excited the dogs get to be out on those trails. We're going to bring E next year when she's a little older.
That's pretty much everything on the agenda for today. Snuggling and taking pictures. I have no idea what I'm making for dinner tonight. Any ideas? Anything that I can just throw in the crock pot since I'm going to be gone for most of the afternoon? We just had beef barley soup and chicken soup, so those are out. I was thinking about pulling pasties from the freezer, but we had those last night.

I just got done spin. I'm sitting sidelines at swim lessons. We will probably get Chipotle or salads after this.
We were going to test drive new cars for my H today but he wants to go alone. Apparently making sure car seats fit are only one thing to "consider" for him. So I think he doesn't want me to come and remind him that the cool cars no longer fit our lifestyle. I swear if he comes back with a little fast car ...

We have a date night tonight. Sushi!
DH had his heart set on a little truck when we were talking about the next vehicle we purchase. He always pointed out the "little trucks" he wanted whenever we saw one on the road/parking lots, etc. Well, our van broke down and he had to borrow his uncle's truck. While he'd still like to have one, after trying to get the car seat into the truck (it has a backseat, but it's only a 2-door), he no longer thinks it will be the next purchase we make.
Even if your H wants to go by himself, I'd make him take the car seat with him so he can try to put it in whatever car he gets his heart set on. Haha. That will stop him from coming home with a little fast car.
DS is going to little gym this morning and then he is going to his friend's first birthday party. This will be out first child's party, it'll probably be really chaotic. I can only imagine how many people were invited.

He's had the baby in his car once. He doesn't even have a car seat in his current car. If he takes the boy somewhere, it's typically in my car. This is his argument why it really isn't a deal breaker.

Just got done at the gym and did just enough calories to eat 2 slices of pizza and drink a beer at this new pizza place. I'm at, like, -457cal for the day. I'm not eating until tonight.
Also, am I a judgey mcjudgerson for judging my friend (who is up to her eyeballs in credit card debt, has a child about to get braces, whose dental plan just got canceled and has a husband that can't seem to stop getting speeding tickets) just got a $600 maltipoo? And she's told me before she doesn't even like dogs!
I must be crazy. I mean, I'm all "live and let live," but she is CONSTANTLY complaining about their debt.
Good afternoon! Neva slept until 7:45 this morning! This never happens. I was very happy this morning. Then she was climbing on my husband, flipped off the couch and hit her head. Poor girl. My husband said it was my fault because I let her up there, but she was crawling ON HIM. He was playing his game and wasn't paying attention. Anyway, not sure what we're going to do today. My MIL gets here today so that'll be nice! Oh, and we got our shutters. LOVE them. They look so good.

I would feel the same if it were my friend. Couldn't she at least have gotten a shelter dog?

I'm more than happy to listen to people when they have a problem and offer advice or simply a listening ear as necessary, but I have no patience for this kind of thing.
Right?! I'm keeping my mouth shut, though. She hates dogs, she hates messes.

That's what I told her! I said, you know, Sam was virtually free to us and, yeah, he sheds like crazy, but he's an awesome dog.

Your recovery meal is just as important as your workout. Eat something!

@cherhoriwitz - our men are opposites. Mine has wanted a minivan since we met.
His argument is that it's low enough to the ground for the bulldog to climb into and that he can sleep in it.
Weirdo hippy kid spent too many summers at festivals.
Minivan never. We have a pact that if we ever want a minivan, we will do unspeakable things to each other. I know, I know. I'm asking for someone to rave about their minivan. I have heard all the benefits, but we're both car people. We draw the line at the minivan.
Good afternoon! Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.
V has not been herself all day and would only sleep on me last night. I called the pedi this morning and they said keep doing fluids, Motrin, and rest and bring her in Monday rather than come in for emergency hours today. I kinda wish they had told us to come in so we could have ruled out the flu or at least started treatment if she has it.

MIL and FIL are here so I plan on cleaning and do all things I can't normally do while watching autumn, like lay in bed all day and watch tv.. But for reals, FIL is still passed out in the Livingroom dude it's FUCKEN 10am get your ass up. Everyone cancelled on us for tonight so it looks like we're staying home I'm still planning on drinking.
No minivan ever. I have a crv and if we end up with 3 kids I will get something with a 3rd row
Yup this is us. I will never drive a mini van. There's so many options out there! Honda Pilot has three rows and drives great. I just really hate HATE mini vans.

Took Cadence to the grocery store this morning. Went to put her back in the car only to realize she pooped while shopping. That shopping cart covered held the smell in, so I didn't even notice while shopping. I asked her if she pooped and she said, "pees". Nope. It was definitely poop. She ate her lunch and is napping now. I want a nap, but I know as soon as I lay down she will wake back up.
I'm on break before my rehearsal. I just had a girl in my class have an asthma attack. Dude, if I had known she had asthma, i wouldn't have pushed her so hard. I feel terrible but how was I supposed to know?
Yikes that's scary. Seems like something the parents should have told you about.
tgrimes1980 Was she just a little girl? Or too afraid to speak up, maybe? Poor thing.. I started advocating for myself at a fairly young age to let coaches/teachers know what level of activity was too much for my asthma. Don't beat yourself up about it, though. You couldn't have known.
Re: Minivans --No
Lazy day here. Nursing L back to health. It's day 6 of fever and irritability. Poor guy is miserable. I've got to get some lesson planning and work done and I don't think it's going to happen.
I would say more about them. But I don't fully get them yet.
More space, handles better than a sedan in winter. My station wagon actually has more room than my husbands SUV but better gas mileage. I also don't feel teeny on the road but done feel as though I am too high up either.
