Having a baby today, and also I got bumped! I am going in for 8 and hopefully having a healthy baby by 9 or 10 this morning. Best wishes today misshart00
I'm hoping they get me in soon because my contractions are getting stronger and more regular. And I feel weird going to L&D when I'm already scheduled.
Up early because of rain. Collected at least 2 cups from a single point of entry and heard what might be leakage from the roof onto the ceiling boards in our room (the 'safe room').
Otherwise, things are going well. My mom may have torn a hamstring so she's mildly freaking out about coming out and helping. I have had basically no indications that this baby is interested in vacating his current abode and am basically trying to stave off boredom.
Good luck to everyone having babies today! I can't wait to see the pics and read birth stories!
I'm so sick of this weather and the roads and just dealing with all that a New England winter brings. My poor husband has spent hours of the last week shoveling paths and clearing cars and dealing with plow people to make sure we can get out to the hospital at a moments notice. He's such a good guy- he hasn't even complained about it! If I so much as picked up a shovel, I'd whine until June.
I have my 39 week appointment this morning, and if the roads aren't totally horiffic, I'm going to go to work after. I worked from home yesterday and while I get a lot done, it's so boring being alone all day- I really miss my work friends! Since this is my last week in the office, I should try to enjoy it!
Good luck miniwheat and @missheart00 ! What an exciting day!
Today I'm officially 37 weeks-- woohoo full term! I know my little lady still needs to cook as long as she deems necessary, but it still feels like a great milestone
I just want to stay in bed todayyyy and not go to work, but I hope you ladies are more ready for the day than I am!

Woohoo for the new babies arriving today. Just laying here watching LO make silly faces and coo in her "milk drunk" state. We partied at 1am-2am so early nap for momma is coming soon.
Have to rent a car today to get errands done since ours is still in the shop. DH is making them double check the airbag after all the recalls even though our car wasn't on the list. And yay I get to do taxes today

Have a two hour delay and I do not want to get up right now. So cozy on the couch bundled in my super fuzzy blanket with the pup snuggled up. As much as I don't want to get up, I'm glad I have work today. If only I could bring the fuzzy blanket with me. I guess I should get up now and start getting dressed :/

Good luck to everyone having babies!! Ive been up since 4 am no sleep in site. Yay insomnia a day before due date! Maybe if I was having contractions I wouldnt care
Good luck misshart00 and miniwheat !! I am so excited for you guys! It is the best feeling ever to be holding your LO outside of your belly instead of inside! I look at mine all the time and think, how the heck did you fit in there?!?!?! lol!
Miss Charlotte woke up early, so I woke up early too. My newborn photographer has been awesome at leaking sneak peaks of our session on FB and I am just in love with them all! I need to learn how to make a signature so I can put them in there to show them off! trin42 I hope yours get rescheduled soon! Mine had to get postponed due to a blizzard and I was pretty bummed about it, but it all worked out!
In some not good news, I had a wisdom tooth pulled in September and I think I need another one pulled... where it is growing in my gums are SO swollen and infected. I can't eat unless I take a painkiller leftover from my c section. My dentist's office was closed yesterday thanks to another 2 feet of snow (5 feet in 7 days... awesome!) so I will be calling them first thing at 8 when they open. But the surgery will be done elsewhere so I'll have to wait for an appointment there. I fear I'll be in this pain for day and I only have 4 pills left and they only last 4 hours each uhhhhh
Been up since 2 with what I'm about 95% sure are real contractions. Hubby is out clearing the end of the driveway right now and then is supposed to get me a bagel. Thoughts on coffee? I want some but not sure if it's a bad idea for any reason

I'm currently drinking coffee. I wouldn't worry about it unless you plan to have a gallon.
izzy0927 - I definitely understand missing your work friends, but be safe on those roads! I am headed down to our office for my yearly review (pushed from 9am to 1030am), and I am dreading the drive. Lots of talk of snowbanks blocking visibility and ice covering the roads. I also have to say that DH has done exactly the same regarding the shoveling and plowing. So sweet. No complaints whatsoever.
After my review, I have some afternoon appointments, then I come home for another evening with DH, who ended up with a three day weekend (Sun, Mon, Tues) thanks to the snow! Then we wait to hear about more snow... ugh... at least the forecast doesn't look like more than three inches as of now. FX.
Holy sausage fingers, Batman! They've really gotten puffy these past couple days, making tying shoes and generally any fine motor task very difficult! Doc said it wasn't that bad, but he's not the one who can't properly grip the toilet paper...
I'm sorry for all of you who are tired of snow, but this Georgia girl is desperate for a snow day!
danitaec, I don't have the sausage fingers but I do have the cankles.... sexy sexy!!!
A friend of mine who has experienced a couple losses this year is pregnant. I am sooooo happy for her and her DH, they are such good people and truly deserve it... YAY!
Today I'm officially in the "single digits"... nerves are setting in (and keeping me up even more at night!)
AFM: nothing baby related, just crap. We had a sudden drop in water pressure last night when getting ready for bed - 1 second working, next not. All the faucets in our house dribble and spit water. This was not improved overnight (I had some small hope that someone somewhere messed with the city water or main somewhere even though it was like 9:30). H thinks the pipes froze, even though the temp was 50 yesterday morning and just gradually fell to freezing at 9 when our problem started. I think our old busted cheapass house just sprung a leak somewhere. But, who knows. So, no shower for me this morning. and of course it is the one day I have a meeting with my boss and another prof., so I look horrible. Then, I called our landlord who proceeded to drop my call/hang up on me twice. And, at the end of our 3rd conversation all I know is that 'he is calling someone'. I don't think he really understands the problem, I don't know when someone will come, or if we have to be there? ugh. Totally planning on not having running water for the next day or so. BLAH, is it Monday today?

oh and did I mention my car has been in the shop since Saturday and they are still waiting on a part? so who knows when that will be fixed. Which really sucks because I kinda need to drive it Thurs. but H and I can't go pick it up before then even if it is ready - because of the water situation today and prior commitments Wed. ... so that sucks.
I think today is going to be my last day in the office. I had "permission" to WFH starting yesterday but like izzy0927, it is boring working from home and I miss my work friends. I don't have too many more days of almost constant adult interaction so I am trying to soak up as much as I can. My work pants are very uncomfortable though so I think today has to be it (I am due tomorrow).
