People looking for ring slings cheaper options than SB - try Vienna Springs, From Alabama with Love, Lily & Mama, and Mama Mermaid. Look on etsy/IG. I recommend single layer linen or linen blends for learning and I personally prefer gathered or floating gathered shoulders - not pleated. Also check the big swap (The Babywearing Swap) and budget swap (Babywearing on a Budget) on Facebook for best deals. Sakura Bloom B/S/T is also pretty dead right now so lots of slings under retail.

Have you heard anything about Wildbird slings? They look nice, but I don't know anyone who has one IRL.

Sparkly Whoa! This is what silk is like? So different! But so nice! I bought this off the BST so it's already broken in really nice but it feels so different then I expected. I don't know what I thought, but it's different. It's so thin, but so strong? And it hugs my back and the baby so nicely!! This is trouble!
Just saw this! I think that was a reinforced kangaroo. I've been working on that and front double hammock with my new 6s. I am basically obsessed with wrapping now and just bought a WCRS last week that's now my go to. My poor SBs haven't been getting much attention at all!

Omg I want all of those snuggles!! I'm actually going to a babywearing meeting tomorrow! morning. I have a Gira size 5 and I'm going to bring it with me and see what I can learn. Love all of your wraps they are gorgeous! The blue one is my favorite!!
A Sakura Bloom linen RS is going to cost me about $130 including shipping. The cheapest I've found on the buy and sell (not a brand I've heard of) was $150. The brand Ive heard of are going for $200+ I think I am going to order the new one.
Although the wovens are so effing gorgeous, I just can't justify the price. Some of these ladies are asking like $600. Plus the learning curve scares me, I feel like I'd only really start getting the hang of it just in time for M to be too big to wear. Probably irrational.

I bought a Girasol woven off of BST for $100, basically to see if I like it and to practice. Also check out babywearing on a budget BST on FB you could prob find something cheaper to to try.

This. I can't imagine you can't find a cheaper RS on BST if you're in the right groups. Is it $130 because of customs/shipping? I don't remember what the linens go for now but I thought under $100 retail. Lollipop

I think I have to join FB so I can check out these BST groups. I've been Facebook free for almost five years, though! I don't miss it at all. Ugh.

It's a local group. The SB is 130 because of shipping. I'm pretty sure the people on the BST are asking so much to make up for the shipping they paid. I checked for retailers on the SB website, but the closest one is 3,hours away, factoring in gas costs it's cheaper to order from the website.
ETA: the website says $98 plus shipping and blah blah blah.

Is this the Sakura Bloom BST or another one? Most of the groups I'm in things are selling at or below retail. Usually below because used.

Not the SB BST. The only local group I could find though.

People will ship to Canada. It usually costs me about $10 more. It's a teeny tiny bit more of an effort, but I know there are also Canadian ladies in the groups so you may be able to avoid that altogether.
Request to join Sakura Bloom B/S/T and Sakura Bloom Chit Chat & B/S/T. I know at one point there was a Canada group too.
Here is an example of a linen for sale under retail:

So I ended up buy a used SB single linen and a used Vienna Springs silk. I love, love them both so much. I don't know if it's because they were broken in first but I had such an easier time with them. I haven't tried my maya wrap since getting these two but I plan on trying it again and see if I have an easier time.

Also used my baby wearing jacket for the first time I got off etsy and it was amazing!
