We leave next Thursday and are just there a few days. My parents are coming to help and then just us and the kids. Tentative schedule: Thursday get there 2pm- Hollywood. Epcot Friday until nap, then Disney Springs. magic kingdom all day Saturday- no nap. Sunday a character breakfast- deciding between a few- then were back in the plane. Those that go to Disney a lot, does the schedule sound okay for a 2 yo? Should we just do magic kingdom and skip something else? Will DS like Disney Springs? What should we do there? What should we wear? High of 75, low of 60. Swimming or no? Meals- I've not reserved anything yet- wwyd?
Also- my H is on crutches and we have a handicap parking pass. I see that it's a separate lot at Disney? Also- I'm trying to read about their disability line access and it looks like now they just give you like a fast pass so H doesn't have to stand in line but we can't just go to the front. Any experience?
Are you guys staying on site? How does your kid usually do without a nap? The character breakfasts might be all booked if you guys haven't reserved one yet. You need to download the app and make a reservation.
Personally I would skip epcot. They were in the middle of remodeling Disney springs when we went.
We are staying at a resort 2 miles away- not on site. He does okay without a nap only if he gets one on the day before and after. The breakfasts do some have available- have to decide between one at ohana? Or at the Floridian.
We are getting into Epcot free so that's the only reason we're going there and doing half day. I know Disney Springs has lots of restaurants but not sure about anything "to do".

I haven't been to the Grand Floridian but Ohana is so fun and my kid kind of liked Lilo & Stitch so maybe you guys could watch it on the way down there. They have Mickey & Friends at ohana too.
I would say shorts/capris and a light jacket. That's what we did last December. Only needed the jackets basically getting to the parks in the morning, then just put them in the stroller. Bring a pair of jeans to be safe, if y'all go out at night you might want them.

Kids don't care for Epcot, it's really for adults. Prepare for DS1 to not like it.
People have been caught taking advantage of disability lines, so now it's a Fast Pass, which anyone has a right to. They give you a ticket with a return time to go to the front of the line at that specific time.
There's a lot of changes happening at Hollywood Studios, so I'm not sure how great it will be there. Haven't heard anything in a while, @whimsy should know more.
Ok, I'll try to answer everything. J loves EPCOT, especially Spaceship Earth. He loves seeing the moon and the stars. His second favorite is Nemo ride and the talking Crush area. He loves the aquarium that you come out to once you get off the Nemo ride, he seriously can spend hours there. There's also a little Lion King movie playing there about the planet and a Pixar short movies festival.
If your LOs love legos, then Disney Springs should be fine. They have a lego play area outside the lego store. The other toy stores are fun for kids, but the place is geared more towards adults. Lots of cute unique shops. Whatever you do, DO NOT EAT AT T-REX RESTAURANT! While the place maybe fun for kids, you can't hear in that place, it's so ridiculously loud in there. You might be better off going to Rainforest Cafe there.
LO might take a nap in the stroller at Magic Kingdom. There's so much to see and so much excitement, that there's a big chance it will wear them out.
Depending on if LO and parents prefer animals over Star Wars, I think you might switch out Hollywood for Animal Kingdom. Hollywood is going under major construction. The only things there for kids are Muppet 3D, Disney Jr. Live/Little Mermaid. Kids can get scared on the movie ride, but if fire and fog don't bother LOs, you should be fine. The Toy Story ride is hard to get fast passes for and the line can take an hour, even though J hated that ride. But he loves Star Wars and following the Storm Troopers, so he likes Hollywood. At Animal Kingdom, you can do the Safari, which if you go once the park is open you should see all the animals. They have a giant play area, and a petting zoo at Rafiki's Planet watch. It really just depends on what you guys prefer.
As for weather, treat it like it's autumn. Bring some light jakets, but shorts and a long sleeve may be fine. I run cold, so I may not be of any help. I wouldn't bother with swimming, but again that's all up to you. I'm sure the pools are heated, but some places begin to close their pools starting this month until Feb/March.
As for crutches, yes it's like a fast pass situation. You shouldn't wait for long. The handicap lot is in the same lot, but next to the preferred parking spaces lot towards the front.
Did you rent a stroller? Rent a double. I used magic stroller (I think). Deliver to your resort and pick up. Insurance was 25$ - it was perfect- and your stroller doesn't get ruined in travel. It sounds like you are doing too much - but you can always decide to take it easy if needed. We stayed out all day (2 y/o and 2 month old). Napped in the stroller. Would try to do a lunch around then to cool them off (went in September). I LOVE Epcot- so I took them there twice. We had plenty of drinks. Ds1 liked the different shows at each place and the different foods. Ds1 also love the big globe part because you could play games after a really lousy ride (that he could go on). Handicapped lot is in the front. Also when you get the disability pass for your h, it's at the very front of the park to the left- can't think of the name (hospitality house?). Everyone who is with you has to go at the same time to show their ids, so you all can be listed on the fast pass if you want to ride together- which I assume you would.
Our plan is to take two strollers that way if the big wants to stay out while the little is sleeping or if my mom wants to park it on a bench, we can separate the kids.

From what I read of the disability thing, it sounds like you get 3 fast passes and one disability pass at a time? It basically means we still have to wait but can wait on a bench instead of standing in a line.

Monsters Scream Floor is at Magic Kingdom IIRC.
Yes, Fast Pass let's you do whatever instead of waiting in line. Anyone can get a Fast Pass. It's just a return time to skip the line. The Fast Pass Limit just means you can't have passes to more than X (I guess three) rides at a time. So you can get three Fast Passes and then make the line for a fourth ride, or eat or whatever while you wait for your allocated time to come up.
The MyDisneyexperience.com site/app will tell you which characters will be where at what parks/times.
Not sure where to find Mater, I've never seen him, but I never looked either.
Photopass. As a photogrpaher, I'm a stickler about it. I think it's great and easy, but I've never liked any of the photos they captured. They also use flash when it's not necessary so everyone looks washed out with red eyes. Now, you have 2 options with the photo pass. You can buy the memory maker beforehand, but you lose out on money if you don't get any good photos. Or, you have the photographers take the photos then scan your magic band. You then can go online and see the photos, and buy which ever you like. You have a couple of months though to decide, before the photos expire so no rush. I say, take your own photos, and see what the photogs take and then decide. I wouldn't do the memory maker.
Now, if you think your big one would like to meet talking Mickey, he's at the Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom. It's the first building on your right as you enter/pass under the train station. You might want a fast pass for it. He's worth it!
I don't think my kid will actually go up to or near a character. Right now he will repeat "I want to see x" but then refuses to go close to them.
Now the Fast Track ride at Epcot- can DS help build the car but then not ride or can he not do any of it?
Seeing as there's a height limit, I'm not sure the cast member at the line will allow that. If there's no cast member there, you can try, and then "chicken out" and not ride it. I wouldn't recommend that unless you have a fast pass. The building of the cars, isn't that fun to be honest. The computer will correct you if you try to make the car a crazy shape. You don't have free range, really.

This is the ride I wanted to do and didn't get to last time we went so I want to this time. Is there something close to it I can send my parents and DS to go ride while we do fast track?

I absolutely hated the Fast Track, so while DH and my BFF would go on it, her SO and I would sit on a bench and count squirrels. I think there wasn't anything great to do nearby, but it's been a while.

Definitely go, I love it. The closest things that they can do are Spaceship Earth in the EPCOT ball, or Mexico is right behind Test Track, there's a kid friendly boat ride in there. It's Donald Duck related.
becole, I always remind people that the Pirates ride at Magic Kingdom has a small drop in the beginning when it gets pitch black. It's nothing like Splash Mountain, but those with kids should prepare for it. Either keep them on your lap or hug them close. It only feels like it's big, because it's dark. It's really not, but LOs react in different ways. If you guys are lucky enough to ride the Frozen ride at EPCOT, same thing. Small drop. No height requirement though.

We did the spaceship thing in the ball before. I think the soaring thing is too adult for lo, right?
I hated the space thing that was zero gravity- ugg- so sick.

I've never done Mission to Space, because everyone I know got sick even on the "lightest" level. Soarin has a height limit, so probably too young.
