laurenash323 I don't have an anterior placenta and am also not feeling strong movement yet (17+2). It's like a little goldfish hitting the inside of a fishbowl. But only once or twice a day, and not hard enough that I am sure. As soon as it happens I stop everything (including breathing) and wait for it to happen again. It never does.
I can't remember whether I felt stronger movement at this point with DS. I think it was closer to 20weeks.
This describes me Exactly. The goldfish thing. Except I did have an anterior placenta with DS. I didn't feel anything that I recognized until 23/24 weeks but as soon as I did it was consistent and unmistakable for the rest of pregnancy. I definitely wouldn't worry if you haven't felt anything yet.
I'm still wearing my regular clothes. This is the first pregnancy, besides my first, that I have been been comfortable enough to not wear maternity. I'm carrying this baby super high already. I need to go get some maternity leggings and I think that will be it as far as maternity clothes for me. I have plenty of summer stuff and I have some winter stuff to finish out the cold lingering from winter.
I have my first GD test this weekend. Because DS was big (9lbs 8oz), I have to get tested twice, even though I didn't have GD last time. Joy. If only that orange liquid tasted better. Anyone else in this boat? I am guessing it is genetics considering I'm 5'10" and DH is 6'2", but I guess better safe than sorry?

I've never heard of that. DS was 8lb 6oz but my dr doesn't seem concerned at all.
Side note. Is anyone else having trouble typing today? TCF only lets me type one letter at a time so I've had to type in Word and then copy/paste into the reply box. Weird.

I forget the cutoff, but she said now a days if babies are over some weight (I think it is closer to 9lbs) they do two GD tests to make sure they didn't miss it last time. Granted, my friend who has a due date 2 days from mine and had a 10 1/2 lb baby doesn't need to do it. Maybe it is just my dr? In any event, I hate the orange liquid.

I have never heard of that, but maybe it's a fair precaution? I am 5'9" and MH is 6'2" - DS was 8lb 1 oz born one day before EDD (just testing the genetics theory).
DD lost and born 9/18/2013 at 24 weeks (Trisomy 18) DS born 6/16/2015 (at 39 weeks 6 days, after emergency cerclage at 23 weeks and 14 weeks of bed rest)

leviosa, - Hope your dog is doing better today! and hope the kiddos were alright at the office. We spent the afternoon at the vet yesterday too. Apparently dogs can get pneumonia too.

Macrosomia is considered to be anything over 8lbs 13oz. I have never heard of double GD testing for LGA babies but I mean it does make sense.
I'm 5'9 and MH is 5'10 and my daughter was 8lbs 13oz (with a giant head) and I keep hearing second babies are typically bigger. Not excited.

He was in so much pain. He has a yeast and bacterial infection in his ear. DD was awful. She was all over the place, making the dog bark. When they got done with him, I had DS1 take him to the car. She didn't get a nap though so I was expecting it to be a bit of a challenge.

Oh no. Part of why I'm hoping for a girl is they are typically smaller than boys...9lbs 8oz was fine, but anything under 9lbs sounds lovely. Truly lovely.

We have gender results but are going to do a little "reveal" party on Friday with close friends and family. I'm super excited. Today is 15 weeks, finally. I kept thinking I was 15 weeks all last week.
In my morning rush, the first dress I pulled didn't work in the boob area, and the second was super tight zipping up the back. I didn't have time to look for option #3, so I sucked it in, threw on a cardigan at work, and unzipped that sucker. I'm totally feeling this chubby, not quite pregnant-looking stage. And my app says I should have gained about 5lbs now. Pretty sure this 4'10" person has gained about 10lbs.
TTC since '08 ME: PCOS, late DH: CBAVD due to CF IVF #1-6 all fresh cycles, all BFN Lost DH in 2015 due to CF Met SO and started TTC again SO: quality issues, started Clomid BFP 1/13/17, natural cycle (!) Due 9/19/17
I always have such ideas of what I should do doing the kids quiet time. Instead, I sit on the couch watching TV. I'm tired today and feel like I don't have much energy.
DH has a big wig at work today so the company is taking them out for supper. I'm planning on picking up supper for the kids and me.

They did an early GD test for me last week at 16w2d because being overweight (by a good bit) puts me at increased risk for GD. They haven't said anything about doing a repeat, but I'll probably ask to do another one closer to 3rd tri anyway. Better be safe than sorry.
The dangers of being a doctor- I know way too much about what could go wrong.

I've had to do two with both pregnancies because my BMI pre-pregnancy puts me at increased risk.
My first pregnancy, I ended up having to do the three hour even though I passed the one hour twice. I had excess amnionic fluid and I guess that is commonly caused by GD. Passed that one, too.

I've just never heard of doing it b/c of baby size. I am within a normal BMI range. The only reason I have to do two tests is b/c DS was large. They even tested him in the hospital b/c he was big, and his sugars (and my previous GD test) was fine.
Mainly I'm cranky about another dr visit. I am trying to save my sick time...also anyone else super cranky this pregnancy. I am in a permanent bad mood.

I was on Pinterest today and saw a recipe for dunkaroo dip and now that's all I can think about. Link below because I'm sure I'm not the only one who loved dunkaroos!!

I'm in the exhausted camp as well. I was doing okay, but I have a cold, and really intense pregnancy dreams so I'm not as rested this past week. I really want a second cup of coffee...
It's been beautiful outside the past few days. Yesterday, we met some friends at a park and were there for an hour and a half. I was so tired that I went to bed before 9. DH came home from his work supper and said he came into our room right up to me and I didn't stir or budge. So he left me alone and didn't wake me to tell me he was home.
Chaos reigns supreme in my house this morning. My teenager is acting like a big baby. Something touched him and he acted like he got stabbed in the arm. Then my mom is acting hysterical over something ridiculous. She is leaving today and I can't say that I am sad. She works from home and she spent the entire day on the phone. She talks so loud she echoes all over my house. All I want is a little piece and quiet.
Thanks to the dunkaroo dip I made myself some "pregnancy cookie dough" aka eggless cookie dough. Perfect dessert to enjoy while watching some Netflix with my feet up in bed.
